The triune-battle for the Republican brand begins: Short-Bus Socrates Newt Gingrich, professional cipher Mitt Romney, and preternatural grifter Sarah Palin. Palin’s been the one in the news lately of course — and she’s determined to stay that way. But we all know Mitt will be sandblasted to a sheen and preening back here in Iowa before Obama places his hand on the Bible (or Quran if you read RedState). Which leaves Newt out there desperate to both keep his name in the news and for reasons to step out on wife number three.
I think there is a gay and secular fascism in this country that wants to impose its will on the rest of us, is prepared to use violence, to use harassment. I think it is prepared to use the government if it can get control of it. I think that it is a very dangerous threat to anybody who believes in traditional religion.
Still not as fascist as those traditional marriage vows though, eh Newt?

Marriage for romantic love is recent. Courtly romantic love (affairs)was something noble women like Lucrezia Borgia had because traditional church marriage was for politics.
Men just had flings no romantic poetry tradition is linked to rich powerful men writing for some reason. Poor men writing about (cough) unobtainable women yes.
But today straight people often marry for romantic love and that is all the Gays want.
Newt can keep his traditional church marriage nobody sane wants a marriage to Newt for traditional reasons like politics, heck goats are a better reason than Newts politics!

Emmanuel as COF is a sop to AIPAC, not taking a firm stand on Liarman is another AIPAC victory. The information that he will not be prosecuting the US torturers is surely indicative of his lack of desire to find the bushies culpable of war crimes at least. Regretfully the DLC is still firmly in control. Change, it seems, will be a long time in coming if it ever does.

Consider the wealth and political power of the vested interests directing governmental policy, what you observe is not surprising. Those interests are entrenched behind moats of fiction and walls of lies. There is little that can be done to sway their intended course, other than the complete collapse of the economic system that is the foundation of their position. It is very likely, that event is upon them as we write this. It will take the complete collapse economically to displace these overlards, just as the feudal condition was displaced from power, it will not go easily. It will be hard going for most of the population, but without economic activity and the profits it generates, those lards will have nothing, their foundations built on sand. What will be important is having an education and awareness of economic “philosophy” that contains the tools to rebuild an economic system conducive to the general wellbeing. If that is not accomplished, there is scant chance the future will be bright.

I’ve said this before but…… at my (Catholic) church, a few weeks ago we got our message from the priest about what to do in the elction. “Here we go again,” i said. I was pleasntly surprised. Yes, there was the mention of being against abortion – and I can understand teh church’s posituion evebn if I don’t agree with it; as well as opposition to stem cell research which I don’t get at all. But the guy said “being pro-life doesn’t mean being anti-abortion.” He pointed out that the Church believes that pro-life is “womb to tomb” and that Catholics need to consider candidates’ stances on poverty, war, health care and the death penalty just as much as abortion. The whole thing was filled with refernces to Church documents and teachings. So this guy in Philly is just out of bounds as a Catholic. He should be ignored.
Why is the old caucus determining who is going to be leading the dems for the next several years. We just went through an exhaustive election and successfully elected several new senators. Until they are seated How dare these clowns impose their buddies for the next several years. Just another screw the voter pile of shit.

I likened them to wasps, but should have likened them to hornets, who attack and attack and attack until they die.
