I’m some distance in my house from the mothership, and have always had a weak signal. but I think this wireless network USB adapter I bought doesn’t even work as well as the LAN card in my old computer. I can’t transfer the LAN card because it was built for a standard size case whereas my new computer is a slim version. might have to order a new LAN card from Dell, if that would be any improvement.

Here’s the thing: substitute any candidates name for Obama. Now, would a party with pride, the opponent or his side, stand for that kind of chatter? Hell no.

I recall a Book Salon a few months back, cannot recall the guest, but it may have been Matt Taibbi. We were talking about Congress’ low approval, and the guest crystallized the argument along these lines: You get your reputation for being tough and principled by being tough and principled.

I believe this. A very large part of the reason that Congressional approval isn’t just tied to joint inaction by both parties after ‘06, is that once in power, Democrats proved as spineless and lacking in cohesion as Republicans proved lawless and irresponsible.
