Thanks, sadly, that is quite a collection of lessons NOT learned.

One hopes Obama has, at least, heard of these things. As to whether he will heed them, we may only ‘hope’, however audacious such hope might be.

I don’t know Obama’s own intentions/wishes, but I have a feeling they are more explicit and less “Mary Poppins-like” than has been revealed. Anyway, I don’t think Lieberman is in near the position of power he has been in the current session.

The “possibility of prosecutions of US politicians in the ICC”, will, as you suggest, Bilbo, prevent this nation from joining the ICC.

The Rule of Law simply no longer exists for America, internationally or domestically.

Anyway, I thought Bayh started to wax poetic and had to shake himself back to the subject at hand when he started to describe Lieberman wandering the halls, shunned and friendless. He seemed attracted to the image and so was I.
