I called my senators Kennedy and Kerry last Friday. (I did not really talk to them, just to a staffer that promised to comminicate this to the Senator in each case):

Thanked them both for support of Prsident-elect Obama.

Congratulated Kerry on last Tuesday’s victory.

Wished well for Kennedy’s health.

Let them both know that Lieberman is unaccepetable at Homeland Security because he has been derelict of his duties, has not been a friend to Democrats, and that I am outraged at news reports that he’s being offered Veteran’s Affairs!

I can’t believe Harry Reid said Holy Joe is not a right wing nutcase. Is that why Joey hung with McRage’s Left Behind Minister, calling him Moses? Is that why Joey launched patently false commericals in CT attacking freshmen congresscritters Chris Murphy and Joe Courtney on the “patriot act?” (I am still trying to find CTBob’s wonderful takedown on that one.) Grrrrrr!

I’m a bit mystified that there’s even a question about what to do here. Lieberman was kicked to the curb by the Democratic primary voters two years ago. The “kid glove” treatment by the Democrats in the Senate is part of what enabled him to win in the general election. He then used that win to spend the last several months campaigning against two Senate Democrats who were running for President and Vice-President. What the hell is it going to take for them to realize that this man is not their friend?

What a cool thing. I spoke to Hillary’s office and told her to pillary Joe, he’s gotta Jomentum right out the door.

It’s incredible that the Incumbent Party is going to survive the Bush years…if Reid cannot see why he should give joe the boot, he has no business being the Majority Leader.

Democratic Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT), who until only moments ago the Netroots used to think of as their hero (how quickly things change), just came out and defended Joe Lieberman. Oh, and Dodd didn’t just do that. Dodd tried to wring the entire Lieberman fiasco around Obama’s neck.

Now that’s sleazy.

Dodd knows that Obama wants the first months of his adminsitration, understandably, to focus on the economy. It’s kind of the most pressing issue in America right now. So what does Dodd do? In an effort to save Lieberman from being kicked out of the Democratic caucus, Dodd just tried to publicly tie Obama to the entire controversy – so that if Lieberman gets kicked out, it will hurt Obama, and thus, Dodd hopes, Obama will intervene and save Dodd’s bff Traitor Joe. (I wonder what Lieberman offered to buy Dodd off?)

Sleazy. Sleazy. Sleazy.

What really frosted me was Joe’s campaigning for the downslate candidates with the mantra that it would be terrible if the Democratic party controlled the Executive and Legislative branches. No care for anyone who might have lost the election based on this BS.

I told the poor tool who answered Joe’s line…wanted someone to hear my ire, that if he felt that strongly about it – the dems in control – he should just resign from the Democratic party…you know have a bit of integrity…Oh he can’t/won’t because he will loose his goodies too bad…

It has to be more than an old boy’s club. Maybe the Mossad fixed Reid up with a buxom agent and took pictures. I doubt it’s even money, although Lieberman has his sources. Reid’s not stupid. If Lieberman doesn’t deserve to be kicked out of the party, who in the world does?

He will regret it. Joe Lieberman is a sanctimonious egomaniac who has no sense of loyalty or gratitude and he will stab Obama in the back as often as possible. He may even use his subpoena power on the Homeland Security Committee (which they are going to have to let him keep) to harrass him on behalf of conservative interests. It’s a huge mistake to keep him in the caucus where he will have knowledge of their strategy and legislative tactics. He will be the first one called upon to “speak for” Democrats who are unhappy with Obama’s inevitable “overreaching.” He is a mole for the Republican party.
