Peterr!!!!!!
Fingers crossed big time.
Look at the crowd in Chicago!
Shay has conceded in CT-4 to Himes.
Ahem. Noriega (TX Sen) is still too close to call, methinks.
Proposal 2 allowing stem cell research in Michigan is pulling ahead.
Good. What a jerk Shay has been.
Go Darcy!!!!
538 has Obama at 224, McCain 110. Rachel says SD abortion issue goes down too!
Rachel: “The draconian abortion ban in South Dakota has failed”
Merkley went into tonight with a lead, I have high hopes.
CBS has called it, though others haven’t.
I’d love for CBS to be wrong . . . *g*
Peterr - I’m following Maffei and Massa and they are looking very good - they are overwhelming their opposition in the two major metros in the CNY area: Onondaga County and Monroe County - even if they lost everywhere else, it would not make any difference because they will pick up the rest of Syracuse and Rochester. I would feel very comfortable calling it for Massa and Maffei for NY 29 and 25 respectively.
*applause*
*whistles*
*cheers*
Chuck Todd says huge House advantage everywhere except in the south. Low point for the republicans. Rick Keller went down in Orange County, Florida!
60%.
Go Grayson! Yay Edwards!
Blue Am!!!!111
Wow. Over at the Corner they’re listing the reasons they lost. I like this one:
Got that? They lost because they ran an “honorable campaign”.
At least he put it in quotes.
OMG KISSELL

Maffei takes NY-25…another Blue America WINNAH!!!
Yum!
(I’m updating above as more results come in.)
pulling hard for that last one you mentioned there peterr, russ warner in this the 26th district of california. it’s still a longshot but the fact we’re in play makes me feel good that if not this time, soon we will rid oursleves of this scourge david dreier who has misrepresented us for 28 years.
Update: Larry Joe Doherty lost in Texas
I certainly hope that you do. I detest his whining as the ranking member of the Rules Commitee.
Now that sucks! I really wanted to see McCaul go, enough so that I gave to Larry.
friend in WA just called. darcy 57 reichert 43, first numbers in.
yes, it’s waay early, but i love seeing that number!
Peterr — ERIC MASSA DID IT!!!!!! Less than 5000 votes, but he’s been declared the winner!!! Kuhl is OUT.
Yes!
It has been an incredible night. A most incredible, amazing night.

cspan, the dredges of cnn
Well what a night.
We’ve put in a lot of hard work to get to this point, but the big work starts now. Let’s enjoy the victory for a day or two, but then we need to get back to the business of changing the world.
If we don’t assert ourselves with our new President Elect, the Blue Dogs and Republicans will.
Obama 49.9 to McLast 49.0 with 99% reporting.
3 blue counties with a few votes outstanding vs. two red counties. (one of the red counties is very sparsely populated). Not enough votes left outstanding to turn this one now.
That’s another win, ladies and germs.
rgr
Something else.
Anyone seen exit polls on the Alaska Senate race?
yeah, what’s gonna happen to ted?
MSNBC has nothing. Just now.
Sigh. I’m still afraid to go to bed. The last two elections, I went to bed thinking the Dem had won, and when I woke up, the winner was George Bush. I’m now so paranoid that I want to make sure that Obama has enough electoral votes that even if California and Florida somehow flip overnight, Obama will still be the winner.
Sympathies out there to my vunderbar daughter who campaigned hard for Allen here in Maine. He didn’t close the deal and broke her heart. Too blase is how my friend described Allen.
But hey, how about that Obama speech? Veklempt all around. Talk about a humbled man. Odd isn’t it?
This is gonna be an interesting year. What are the odds on Obama taking Alaska? Like to see that one.
Good, happy night, all!
early polls had him way down, but that was awhle ago.
I am so looking forward to JoeScar tomorrow, err, later this morning.
Hope they have all the usual repig suspects on….
(predicting that Mika’s eyes will still be all red and puffy from crying all night)
I’m not convinced that Mika’s a Gooper. I think she might just need the job.
i’m not worried about it tonight. it was a landslide. and we seized the media narrative … it’s done and we won!
*good* night, loo hoo and all!
hey MSNBC, could you bring Chuck Todd on for a little while and ask him precisely *why* he had the race at 264 electoral votes for so long, before reluctantly flipping to a way-out-on-a-limb 286?
‘McCain ran an “honorable campaign”’
By the standards of Ferdinand Marcos, perhaps.
;>)
Detroit Free Press calls it for Peters!
Knollenberg loses seat to Peters in Oakland County
And I wanted to say thank you to all my friends here at the lake!
Mac hasta try and stuff the ghouls back in the box after prying off the lid.
Heckuva job.

When anyone asks ME what do i want from the new admin, i tell them:
ENACT THE 2006 MANDATE!
we can go from there!
Dems party.
Been a while, though.
what is going on with prop eight in cali?
Listening to local news (Spokane) and local reporter was standing near Dino Rossi when the networks called the race of Gregoire. He finished the interview and left the room. Reporter said the Republicans seemed really down because of the Obama win, they hadn’t really notice the call for Gregoire. Well worth staying up to watch this.
Josh is saying that Franken still has a good shot, with a lot of blue areas having not yet reporting.
Thanks, Peterr. Great to see all the BA wins.
Sigh. Utterly tone-deaf special interest group: the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). I stopped giving them money after they endorsed Joe Lieberman 2 years ago, but they’re like the ex that won’t stop e-mailing you. So I’m watching the returns on Prop 8 in California (which is winning right now), and I get an e-mail from the HRC saying, “We won!” It turns out they were talking about Obama (which I’m quite happy about, too). I really think they’re PR people are totally clueless.
It’s ahead by a little, but the more conservative districts reported first, and the lead has been shrinking. (Now at 50.1 for, 49.9 against.)
My bad. It’s at 53.1 for, 46.9 against. I was looking at the wrong Prop.
Uncle Ted up by 4 points in Alaska with 37% reporting.
Ian is upstairs!
