anybody excited?
Anybody excited? If you mean stomach tied up in knots, the answer would be yes.
I thought the R’s were pinting to Zogby poll as evidence that the race was even. His daily tracking poll is at 51-44 obama.Pollster John Zogby: “Barack Obama is where he needs to be and John McCain is not.

i feel pretty relaxed. was all smiles wearing my Obama/Biden shirt this weekend. Saw some people with a McCain/Palin bumpersticker. Looked pretty glum Or maybe they were angry. I’ve never seen such anger directed at an opposing candidate. Surasses the anger we directed at Bush 4 years ago. By far, I think.
Scar and his RW’s were going into joyful spasms over Mason-Dixon numbers earlier this morning, iirc.
Investors Business Daily has it at 46-44.
what do they say?
We’ll win when we gather around the bon fires fueled by mounds of Republican voting machines and rip down any remaining impediments to any American casting a vote. Never fail to tell the grandkids the dark days when we suffered under stolen elections.
It’s the journey not the destination.
What scar’s claiming right now is M-D showing swing states w/in MOE. Don’t have the *real* data; just what this particular twit is saying.
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream–and not make dreams your master,
If you can think–and not make thoughts your aim;
If If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools
Morning all,
Weather looks like it is going to be good here today and tomorrow. I am up – ghone banking today, Mtg tonight for pol checkers tonight and then tomorrow a day at the polls. Hoping things are not problematic but attorneys will be available should anything evolve.
I’m gonna enjoy watching all the talking heads/pundits walk it backward. :) :) :)
AMEN!
Both Obama and McSFB will be campaigning here today. McSFB in Tampa at 9am. Polls open in just under 24 hours. 24 hours after that the beginning of the fall of Shrub and the Rethug Party will have begun. But Krugman is right, the Rethugs will become even more intolerant and dangerous. We need to ensure that this election is the beginning of pounding the Rethugs into the ground, their ideology scattered to the 4 winds, never to be allowed to surface again.
Yo Raven.
And Gallup has put out their final numbers. They took 3 day tracking 10/31-11/2 and then made their best estimate at allocating undecideds. The result:
Obama 55 McCain 44.
I like it.
Lima Charlie Dragon
(((Raven)))
a philosophically good morning to you too.
Morning folks. It’s in the 40s and cloudy here in Upstate NY – they are predicting good weather all week but esp. tomorrow. The DH and I will be at our polling place, standing in line first thing. Get the civic duty done!!
The new congress needs to strongly address voting machine regulations.
Quite an ass whuppin ya’ll put on us Saturday. See the Times article on booze and UF yesterday?
I’m going to enjoy watching their heads explode .)
Our very feisty, DFL Rep Tom Rukavina (NE Minn) wrote a great letter to ed in local rightwing newspaper. After talking about Norm Coleman’s lack of interest in the Iron Range economic development projects vs Al Franken and enumerating what the Dem Party has done for working people in the country (Soc Security, Medicare for elderly, GI Bill, college loans, Head Start, etc), Rukavina said this:
“Now, I’ll challenge all of the Republicans up here to tell me one thing, just give me one example of what the Republicans have ever done for the working class people of this country. I’ll give you until the 2012 elections to come up with something, you’ll need that long.”
Dick Cheney couldn’t even finish sharing his ‘delighted’ endorsement of McCain without looking down at his notes. You’d think that if he had any soul or heart at all he’d be able to endorse his choice for next president of the United States without needing to check his notes to see what it was he was going to say.
Peace to one of my favorite Floridians!
How’s the tigers? Causing any troubles?
Chuck Todd said that if you compare previous M-D polls to the past ones, Obama has increased his margins. Joe did not read that memo, instead he would rather compare M-D to other polls.
Nothing like a little Kipling to start the day, Thanks.
The Dogs got some really nasty breaks in the first half and the Gators took full advantage. The second half was about as perfect a game as I’ve seen from the Gators.
Didn’t see the article. Was that the Times-Union? I don’t go there since they endorsed Stearns over my man Cunha in FL-6.
Or was it that he just has trouble looking people in the eye when he says that?
That’s beautiful! With the mandate the people are about to give ‘That One’ and ‘All Those Other Ones’, the Republican Monarchy will not be able to hide. Or hide their disdain for the masses. A new day has dawned in the USA!
UF has always been known as a hard drinkin’ school. They’ve still got the wildest tailgate parties in college football.
NY Times Education section. It’s interesting, the headliner is about the coming upsurge in vets in higher ed. . .are we prepared?
The Wild Rebel offense of Arkansas is going to be the next big thing in football, college and pro. The Chiefs used it yesterday.
I thought Cheney looked really ill. He made me think that his picture of Dorian Gray wasn’t working anymore and he was actually showing his “sins”.
hi all … been a while since i posted …
anyway, looking forward to tomorrow. And I love the way the thugs have been manouvered into presenting this as a mandate for everything they’re against. and real interesting to see them start backtracking. This is really a win for center right ;). Yeah, just keep thinking that.
Anyway, let’s do it!
We all be fine. They love this cool weather. Like mischievous kids. Getting ready to reeducate the Rethugs at work.
Yes, I agree; he’s been looking very drawn and almost ‘elderly’ recently.
Time to sign off. Have a good day folks and remember Raven’s post at 11.
All Moanin’ Schmoe can talk about is himself this morning. Very little berating of Obama. Very telling.
Scar’s scraping the bottom of the outhouse trying to find *something* *anything* to provide a ray of hope.
Note to scar: ain’t no light where you’re looking.
Cool weather is better for the fur type critters? Yep.
Best of luck at work. I’ll be waiting to see if your boss tells you who he voted for apres le vote.
That’s why I stay home and watch the games on my TeeVee. My only Gator season tickets are for baseball.
Joni Mitchell – If
well, the “swing states’ were kind of close and I was concerned about them up until a couple days ago. maybe Saturday. But Obama shoukld win a couple of them at least. McSame has to win all of them. I just can’t see a McCain person being excited at that prospect. And i don’t count PA or IA as swing states. Or CO. they’re ours.
Nice. But i have this in my head. Dusted it off from 4 years ago and just can’t get it outta my head.

Krugman outdid himself today. The only difference between the RNC and the KKK is the higher thread count on their sheets.
I’ve heard that people like to vote for the winner. That makes them a winner too. I’m feeling more comfortable this am. I mean really, who wants to say on Wednesday, oh I voted for McCain?
Morning! Barack Obama’s my senator I am very proud to say!!!
Anyone see the Simpson’s treehouse of horror last night?
In the opening, Homer tries to vote for Obama, and his vote keeps flipping to McCain. As Homer keeps trying to press Obama, his number of tries keep tallying up for McCain!
It’s tolerable in the faculty-staff section here.
We calls em “front runners” in the sports world. Like the Cub fans.
A bittersweet truth from Mr. Krugman.
mornin’ pups!!! have missed you all beyond measure.
haven’t read all of the comments yet–
wanted to say–anyone who is able please show up at your local obama campaign office today and tomorrow and see what they need.
haven’t been here for a while because i’ve been doing just that at my local office.
amazing bunch of people, and they’ve been working long days and nights for a long time, so, show up and take a load off, two more days, this last push for voters to show up and vote is vital.
: )
The other problem is that it takes a huge donation to work your way up on the football tix list to “safe” seats. We give instead to the performing arts program, just enough to get reserved parking that paid off big time for yesterday’s Capitol Steps performance while Biden was speaking on the other side of campus.
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice.
isn’t that a bean? /s
Unlike Cubs fans (I know a bunch of them well), there’ll be no ‘wait until next year’ for 20% who will admit to voting for McCrazy.
malkin is on fox right now.
was raeding that he dealt with some hecklers with grace. would they the other side knew how to handle a crowd or unsderstood their responsibilty to do so.
I misspoke, I’ve been a Cubbie fan all my life. I was talkin about the chardonnay cub fans!
Those two guys who pranked Palin last saturday, were on CBS’ Early show. They explained that off all the celebrities they had punked, only two had to be told they were being had, Palin and Britney Spears.
I rest my case.

So African-American EV turnout almost tripled. This doesn’t assure anything, but it’s a good start, I think.
Report on WMNF (community radio) just now that if it weren’t for the police and barricades at Raymond James Stadium (Bucs) you’d never know anything was going on there in 20 minutes. Kidding that they’ll prolly have to bus kids in from the local colleges to make up a crowd for McSFB. Too sweeeeeet.
sunshine posted this last night in the cheney thread…….
it’s what i’m hummin’ today.
obama rising-bruce.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v…..re=related
that is in essenence Obie
is she crying? more hysterical than usual? is this Fox & Friends? Biggest collection of twits in TV.
oh my

L O S E R!
as you know, i find it very entertaining!!!
she was ranting about the’liberal gay talk show host’ who threatened joe the plumber (whom they just had on right before her but i missed)
how nothing was done about it…
just like nothing was done when she did it./s
hey sadly–we have a volunteer from your area, can’t remember the name of your animal rescue outfit–what is it? she’s interested.
eagleburger on fox right now
said powell’s support for obama is because of his dislike of bush…
also said he was going to have a bad case of depression before this is over, no snark, he really said that.
I know you’re a Cubbie fan. I also know you’re not a chardonnay cubbie fan. :) Glad you clarified.
I didn’t know until the other day that ratfood’s domicile is the spectacular metropolis of Urbana. I knew I recognized something familiar about his humor/sarcasm/cynicism. lol!
was he misquoted? “What I really said was ‘palin is dumb as dogshit’”.
me too. sometimes i have to turn it off but it’s usually entertaining. especially lately when their people are just frothibng at the mouth. i rather watch Fox & Friends than Scarborough & Mika. Purely for entertainment. Plus it’s good to know what the other side is saying.
Great Arizona article. I love reading the Ob. endorsements that say so many things we’ve been saying and thinking…like he is sane and articulate and visionary and realistic and concerned about this country and healthy of temperament. Surely this man will be our President.
How pathetic is the “other side” when their water carriers are these clowns?
that’s why it’s so entertainingly funny!!
Off to swim in the great capitalist (bwahahahahahahahaha) cesspool.
Be good to yourselves, and all other living things.
Namaste
Yea, we have been in the same orbit but I have been gone from there for so long.
he wasn’t misquoted, he’s just flippin’ the spotlight to powell now. duck and evade, shiny object, gop meme.
he was a funny color though, not good. hope it was the make-up. we want to keep him on the tv as a spokesperson for mccain.
shaggydogfarms.com…{{{{{{{{{{mwah}}}}}}}} thank you
mccain people cancelled gov palin 10 minute sit-down with fox before her rally……..no time they said…..wow, kickin’ the dog that guards the henhouse. omg.
you’re welcome, miss you guys. two more days.
Understood, but your suburban Chi-town roots always show. :)
Have a great day, friend. And, as always, thank you for your service.
(you know what I mean)
back atcha! Those years of hangin in Belushi’s hood always show.
hehehehehe! Indeed!
Arrrgggghhh! After reading the link to Krugman, I made the mistake of starting to read Kristol. There are just not enough ways to say fuck you to that man.
The Krugman article reminds me of this Billmon post.
