If we could negotiate with drugs companies, seniors who use Medicare would be able to get the medicines they need at a much lower costs. I’ve talked to seniors who are forced to decide whether to pay for their medicine or buy food. Outrageous.

As a doctor, this is particularly frustrating. Medical science has come so far in treating life-threatening diseases and we have medicines that are more effective and treat a wider range of illnesses than ever before. What good are those drugs if we can’t find a way to get them to the people who need them most?

The pharmaceutical companies basically wrote Medicare Part D. It may work well for the drug companies, but the people of Southern Ohio deserve a representative who will be accountable to them.

Has she completely recovered from her “accident?” What a publicity stunt that seemed like from afar — getting on a plane and having to be mended in a hospital that should have been able to devote all its resources to our war wounded, not a Congresswoman who couldn’t even tell she had broken ribs!
