Nyack, NY has been my hometown for over 25 years. It’s a lovely town nestled along the Hudson River 20 miles north of NYC, longtime home of Helen Hayes until she died, and hometown to Rosie O’Donnell and Jonathan Demme. It’s the most Progressive (and lively) of the river towns in Rockland County and ALWAYS votes Progressive.

Unfortunately we must endure the monument to our local town shame, the slithering Stephen “Creepazoid” Baldwin.

Norm Coleman was a disgusting twit when he ran against Mondale and has done nothing to redeem himself as a senator. He’s an ass. His whinny campaign against Franken is disgusting and if people in Minn are smart enough to reject the other maroons -they will do the same to Coleman

Mystifies the hell out of me how so many people can vote against their own interests because of phony issues like guns and gays.

Add to list welfare, taxes, foreigners, real Americans. The point is that the Republicans have carved out hot button issues that the push and their well trained Pavlovian dogs respond according to script.

In a real democracy, of intelligent educated voters, Coleman would be at about 10%+-…That is roughly the percentage of Americans whose interests the GOP support.

Americans: the most ignorant voters in the history of Democracy.

Could not agree more.
I had a rant about this downstairs.

Minnesota Public Radio stays on Franken-Coleman race:

Coleman denies claims that donor funneled money to his wife
St. Paul, Minn. — Coleman rearranged his campaign schedule to give reporters an angry response to the allegations that a friend and contributor funneled money to him through his wife’s employer…

sounding like there might be some there there.

Hi Julia and Pups. One Treat I’d love is to see Coleman gone and Franken in.

It’s sad to imagine what good Paul Wellstone might have done …

On a light note I got a call from NY tonight and was told the young mother across the street took her tots out to trick or treat, leaving a basket of
goodies - first come, first served. The first to take the goodies were
The Squirrels. They had a feast. Probably took all the peanut M&Ms.
