Cheryl…Whitewater? Ultimately the Republicans own special prosecutor said he could find nothing on the Clinton’s…they lost money on the deal. Whitewater was simply an excuse to perpetually expand the investigation.

The White House Travel Office? Lemme ask you…did Bush keep on the Clinton Travel Office? Did Reagan keep on the folks in the Carter travel office? It was a “patronage” position…and the Bushies have expanded the numbers of incompetant people to fill patronage positions by an order of magnitude.

And Fosters “murder”? A suicide. His note was about Republicans like you…”the politics of personal destruction”. You folks lie about peoples religion, birthplace, who his mother had sex with, claimed Hillary had sex with Janet Reno, ad nauseum. That’s why the American people rallied around Clinton…and that’s why your candidates are going to slouch off in the worst defeat a party has had in modern memory!

I would agree with you except for a couple of very salient points. First, she hired a PR firm to get her name out there for the VP nomination. Which really leads to the second point. Who, better than Sarah would know that she is totally unqualified for the position? Did she not know that she lacks knowledge of foreign policy as well as serious domestic issues?
Wouldn’t she know that with a 72 year old presidential nominee with a history of several bouts with cancer there would be a good chance that she would be called upon to be Commander-In-Chief? Wouldn’t anyone with as thin a resume’ as Governor Palin know this?

I, for one, think that if she is scapegoated for this probable loss, she brought much of it upon herself. McCain was an idiot for choosing her, but she was also an idiot for taking the nomination.

Talk about scary…but I would predict that she and Sean would pretty soon “kill” each other…how would 2 such egos, sociopaths ever get along? But I do tend to underestimate…maybe they would find a way to feed off of one another. Or maybe she will disappear after her offensive splash like the skinny blonde what’sher name Coulter.

Sara’s going to get out of politics and take up teevee as a female Hannity for Fox. She’s got name recognition. It’s all she needs. Why should she go around shaking hands with rubes and eating stale rubber chicken or mooseburger when she can take down several million a year hosting a teevee show. That’s where she’s going. That’s where ‘Joe the Plumber’ wants to go. It’s their big shot, like ‘American Idol.’ It’s the American way for rubes.

What drives her is greed. Politics is simply an means of satisfying that end. She’s a grifter, just like the tele-evangilists she takes after.

Oh, I was just hunting around for more Palin mentors and found this. It’s mostly about Carney. The point being that she will use people who are smarter than her to get ahead and then she burns them because she hates that they are smarter…kind of a I hate that I need your help, so I’m going to prove that i don’t need your help anymore. weird. I thought that was part of the discussion.

In this same article is that Sarah makes political decisions, not evaluative ones. She also poses as an outsider, and many people relate to that.

Sounds like they were channeling a speech that George Smathers purportedly gave during a Florida senate campaign against Claude Pepper (although it appears to be an apocryphal tale):
