This is what I would call “a softball interview.” Biden hits one after another out of the park. A democratic plant couldn’t have gotten away with giving him such easy questions. I wish more right-wing interviewers would may Obama/Biden look so go.

Frankly, I have had my doubts about Biden, but this interview helped me like him much more. I say we should encourage to the idiot-sphere to do more of this, not less. Maybe they will be come so daring as to ask whether Obama can truly lead the entire country if he has never even attended a clan rally. I mean, that would he hard-hitting journalism.

If I were Biden I would credit this hack interview with the win just to stick it to her.

Thanks for fighting the good fight. Gay unions are a dying issue — young adults don’t understand it as an issue. If we can keep homophobic amendments out of the State and Federal Constitutions it will die as the older bigots move on.

Maybe I’m a bigot too, but I think the answer is civil unions. We take the government out of the ‘marriage’ business entirely. The government registers unions. Gay or straight, it doesn’t matter, you have to hie yourselves to the courthouse/county clerk’s office and sign the registration. At that point, you’re married as far as the government’s concerned. If you need goD’s blessing too, it’s up to you and your partner to take care of that with your spiritual advisor(s).

No more, “By the power vested in me by the State of Inebriation I pronounce you this and that.” That little phrase has always grated on me anyway — what business does the government have vesting power in a clergy-critter?

Sorry, but an apology petition is the wrong approach, IMHO. Right approach is to pressure the show’s advertisers. Subject the station and its hack news staff to the magic of the marketplace.

The questions are so bad, it’s like satire. I had to laugh, when she brought up socialism (that dirty Scandinavian kind/s) and commie-ism.

And I love that Biden just laughed at her when she asked those ridiculous questions. And when he asked if she was serious, PRICELESS!

Done. Here’s my comments:

Ms. West’s “interview” of Senator Biden was absurd. Surely she knows that the United States has had a mixed economy, at least since the introduction of the Income Tax during the Wilson Administration. I wish Senator Biden had noted that her quotation could have come from John Smith at Jamestown. Otherwise he did fine, but your station owes the Obama campaign an apology.

The Obama/Biden campaign told the station that they can kiss further interviews with anyone from their team, and that the offer is non-negotiable. That message has gone loud and clear to the rest of the broadcast industry. Obama has gone over their heads, and doesn’t need them. I predict a real shake-out come November.

Ms West claims on her resume that she was an _assistant professor_ at the University of Vermont. I wonder if anyone can confirm this.

I’m asking, since an assistant professor position at a state university normally requires a PhD degree, although exceptions may occasionally occur. According to her resume, she holds an MS degree.

Actually, one almost wishes for one interview after another like that. Not only were her questions Onion worthy, but her robotic delivery made one question whether or not a real human being were asking them. Biden hit each one, one by one, out of the park, and it’s hard to see how any rational individual watching, except maybe for Matt Drudgery, could wind up thinking that there were any basis for those questions in this world or any other. In a way, she let herself be set up, just the way Obama (and Biden) set up McCain in the debate for the discussion of William Ayers. The whole McCain campaign is predicated on the lowest common denominator of political I.Q.; they’re transparent and condescending, often hilariously so.

I saw this and thought I should do a little fact checking WFTV is actually part owned by FOX and COX here we go into a Republican agenda already no bias there right. Then Marla Weech a Republican gets into questions on Marxism OK where’s that coming from and then to find out that her husband is, Wade West is a well-connected Republican strategist. Bravo Senator Biden or Should I say Vice President Biden putting her in check and that station WFTV and there Republican Agenda. Also when I went to the Obama Rally at the AMWAY in Downtown ORLANDO a WFTV helicopter flew over head the entire time Senator Cliton spoke so you couldn’t hear her. A Republican town , Channel(WFTV) and Reporter . Change is need and ABC NEEDS TO TAKE CONTROL OF IT’s NETWORK IN THE HOME OF DISNEYWORLD. HECK THEY DON’T EVEN PLAY SATURDAY MORNING ABC SHOWS FOR MY KIDS ITS JUST NEWS FOR SEVERAL HOURS. DISNEY TAKE CONTROL BACK OF ABC ORLANDO.
