From this we can deduce that:
- Sarah Palin believes God personally chooses our Presidents and Vice Presidents.
- Sarah Palin believes that God should choose her as Vice President.
- Sarah Palin believes that without God’s intervention she will lose.
- Sarah Palin is out of her mind.

Palin’s Base believes that God is immanent, ever present, monitoring our specific acts and thoughts, interceding for Good or allowing his evil opposite to win, depending on his whim. It is as present a possibility for them as catching the latest American Idol or what happens when they miss the mortgage payment. There is no human act not directly attributable to His intervention or failure to do so.
Asking Him to “intercede” for them we might consider to be like asking him to assure that Notre Dame beats Ann Arbor, or like a mad scientist playing with his lab mice. For them, it is like asking God to make sure the Devil doesn’t win.
It may be political gamesmanship to the GOP, but it’s a daily, Manichean battle for the Base. The seeds of continuing, bitter division and opposition Palin is planting, and making sure there’s plenty of warm fish guts wrapping them so that the corn comes up by next election season.
So when Obama wins does that mean God is:
1) Not listening to her and the warriors.
2) Hearing the vile hate coming out of the ‘Right’.
3) Really black and just a pinko loving commie.

Interesting that she is “confident” but not “certain”. That’s her out. Because if good “allows” Obama to win (just like any event that is catastrophic from their perspective) it can only be explained by allowing Satan to advance to “test us” in some mysterious way. Usually it means that someone else sinned, though…since they themselves (as believers)are perpetually washed of THEIR sins. They would never accept the possibility that someone like Obama was in God’s plans. Or that perhaps the events on earth amongst men are not directly administered by God at all…that life itself is a test of our ethics…whether times are good (when charity and compassion should be easiest but clearly aren’t) or bad.
