Halloween and the election are near, time for the boogie-man to go "BOO!".
It seems inevitable that Osama bin Laden appears on a video soon and FoxNews translates it as thanking ACORN for their assistance in Al Qaeda’s Fall recruitment drive.
The bin Laden video in late October 2004 was believed by intelligence officials to be intended to help Bush, not Kerry. The opposite of what the news whores proclaimed at the time.
Well, in 2008, Al Qaeda doesn’t seem to want to be misunderstood:
Al-Qaida supporters suggested in a Web site message this week they would welcome a pre-election terror attack on the U.S. as a way to usher in a McCain presidency.
The message, posted Monday on the password-protected al-Hesbah Web site, said if al-Qaida wants to exhaust the United States militarily and economically, "impetuous" Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain is the better choice because he is more likely to continue the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Somehow, I just don’t see Brian Kilmeade and Steve Doocey diverting from discussing Madonna’s divorce and whatever Page Six belches out to note this development.

Is that Jesus?
We should be ready for this or a possible attack. I have been reading so many articles lately about how so many economic factors have not been this bad since after 9/11. I thought to myself that if I were in AQ this would be the time to attack, when our economy is already vulnerable.
Here is hoping they are really on the run and this is not borne out.
Using the Hamas supports Obama logic, McCain’s toast!
I thought only Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham called McSaim “impetuous”.
Ken Adelman intends to vote for Barack Obama. He can hardly believe it himself
The rats keep jumping the ship Adelman saya its McInsanes non economic policy. No attacks around the world…with the global econ unravelling they do not need to risk more anger from the first world. After all we have agreed to un occupy Iraq. I think they are concentrating on Afghanistan with 50,000 militants “kicked out of Pakistan”. Meanwhile the recession is hitting South America, Europe and the Pacific Rim countries.
Is it appropriate to have a picture of ObL toast on this blog? It might scare the children. /s
al-cia-duh…?
Of course, the fact that OBL clearly stated in 1996 that the objective of attacks on the US, culminating in 9-11 was to goad the USA into destabilizing Iraq so that it could recover its place as the seat of the Caliphate has been all but ignored.
A madman’s seemingly tenuous grasp on reality proven incredibly accurate and effective through the machinations of the WHIG.
Do you know what your dollar is doing?

The Mortgage Bankers Association conference in San Francisco is the site of multiple protests. Yesterday a woman walked on stage to attempt a citizens arrest of Rove The Terrorist:

Good morning, pups. It’s MoDo and Friedman this morning. MoDo, in “Moved by a Crescent,” says in a gratifying “have you no sense of decency, Sir and Madam?” moment, Colin Powell went on “Meet the Press” and pushed back on ugly innuendo. Mr. Friedman, in “Bailout (and Buildup),” says we can’t afford a financial bailout that also isn’t a green buildup — a buildup of a new clean energy industry that strengthens America.

The coffee, tea and hot chocolate are ready, and I’ve got banana nut muffins today. I just stumbled across a series the NYT did on The Debt Trap that looks like it might be worthwhile taking a peek at. Have a great day.
I actually think a whole lot of Americans would get the strange symbiosis between a McCain and Bin Laden. I’m not convinced that a Bin Laden video tips the election to McCain.
Marion, Except for Judith Warner and Krugman, I have given up on the NYTimes opeds years ago. Do you have to take tums before you read them or are you so desensitized that it doesn’t bother you anymore. I have glanced at Brooks but not Kristol.
I guess I’m immune, due to years of exposure. There are folks here who wade into places like National Review and Town Hall to find out what they’re gibbering about and I can’t imagine the intestinal fortitude that takes. To say nothing of being willing to watch Faux News to catch them doing what they do best… [shudder]
By establishing a Shite state in Iraq George “Dumb ass” Bush has given the terrorists what they want with huge costs to the “Coalition countries” and little cost to Al Queda.
There were a lot of reason not to occupy Iraq the Sunnis were preventing that…one reason Obama will not start withdrawing troops very soon if elected. We are supposed to be humanitarian so murdering over 1 million people was a humanitarian disater by any account.
The war is bleeding our forces and our economy.
The oil Bushco was after will not likely do us much good.
AQ didn’t attack on 911. That was the cover for who did. And it has become the mantra for the eternal war on terra. Cui Bono?
Supposedly the polls favors McToast IRT get’n Bin Laden. After all, UBL is the republican messiah. A tape might might make a blip in the polls but I don’t see it effect the election results.
Funny graphic attaturk.
Dredging the NYT should be enough :)
The hijackers were terroriss…what were they covering up?
MSNBC is talking about Sarah’s clothing expense. Rather than spend time on something of such little substance, I’d rather they talk about McCain’s $8,000 a month makeup job. What is McCain trying to hide with all that cover-up?
Why bother with the NYTimes. it has proven to be the mouthpiece of the capitalist class, a conduit for administration talking points, pushed the war with Judy, and has Kristol doing op eds?
Frankly I think we need to hear the commentaries of people like Juan Cole, Tom Englehardt, Thom Hartman, Josh Marshall, Noam Chomsky, Katrina Vanden Hueval, Naomi Klein, Naomi Wolf, etc. There are some many well reasoned commentaries out there. Who needs to read or hear about BoBo, and MoDo, Kristol and the usual reichwingers who get to opine there whenever they want?
Missed the makeup job. Was that in the same article(s) about palin’s clothes? If not, do you have a link? i would assume it’s to deal with his swollen face and to make him look less like Palin’s father. No e he looks like a lecherous uncle.
I don’t believe for a minute that the 19 slackers we were told “did it” actually “did it”. I have been reading material on 911 for 7 years and the conventional conspiracy theory put out doesn’t add up.
It sure seems that someone else was behind that horror. Cui bono?
It was on the blogs yesterday and I’ll try to find a link.
Our election process is so flawed. We need to get money out of politics, for profit corporate lobbyist out of the halls of government, public finance of all elections and a limit on the time for the process. In the absence of sensible reforms we need to impose STRICT term limits for 20 years or so until the election process can be completely reformed.
Money IS the root of all evil… with religion a close second.
Citizen SanderO:
Right on Brother Sander…keep the red flags flyin’!!! But the Times has alotta international news from foreign sources that we ignorant Amerikans don’t usually get…likewise the Wall Street Journal for front page and domestic “news”. But of course with the internet we don’t need no fuckin’ Times or WSJ ta get stuff straight from the horses mouths, so ta speak.
Separation of Corp. and State.
Here’s a story on the make-up artist that McCain uses. http://voices.washingtonpost.c…..ke-up.html
Al-Qaida (The Base of the Bush Crime Family) has a password protected website? Huh. You’d think al-Qaida would want everyone to read what they have to say and to participate! Oh wait. I wonder how many Bush Regime & CIA personnel have a username & password for this site? Something tells me a lot do.
Agree completely. The NYT’s is becoming irrelevant. From Jason Blair to Judith Miller to Bobo Brooks to Bill Kristol to Adam Nagourney the Gray Lady is looking very haggard.
Hey Sander, you still in the big apple?
Term limits are decidely NOT the answer to gettin’ money outta politics…term limits only make the large donor contributions more efficient and don’t allow for grass roots elected officials to learn the job and develope constituencies and a politics…no Citizen SanderO, term limits ain’t the answer.
Both McCain and Tom Brokaw look like they walked out of Vincent Price’s “House of Wax”.
lol
In Michigan the Republicans pushed for term limits a number of years ago and now they even see it as a complete failure. There is such a thing as “institutional memory” that is critical for efficient governance. The real term limits should be at the ballot box. One way to get money out of politics is to tell the corporate media that if they want to keep their licenses they will provide free access to candidates. It’s a start.
I guess that I’m enough of a stodgy old fart and set enough in my ways that I still find value in newspapers. (Hell, I even subscribe to the Savannah Daily Disaapointment, although calling that rag a newspaper is a real stretch!)
The neocons in the Bush Regime are preparing for a new attack against America whether it’s before the election or after. To top it all off, Georgie is going to let the Iraq/USA agreement expire at the end of this year in the hopes the country explodes into oblivion. The neocons just DON’T want to leave America in the shape they found it. They’ve never been good housekeepers as we’ve witnessed over the past 8 years. Taking the “w” off the keyboards will be the least of our worries.
I’m guessing that if the neo fascists pulling strings right now could orchestrate an attack from al qaeda, they are gonna wait till after the election and Barack has his hands firmly at the wheel.
These neo-cons pretty much know that an attack would work against McCain not for him, HOWEVER, they also know that an attack under a democrat will give the image;
“bush protected us for 6 years, a democrats comes into office and boom, we’re attacked”
Barack will have NO honeymoon either, he will be attacked from his very first days from limbough, hannity, leVINN and the neo con surrogates.
I have an oxydown comming up (damn that three post limit) that points out something very interesting;
the republicans are actually facilitating mccain’s failure and it looks like they are doing it on purpose.
looke for my post in a few hours
Well…we all do know that bin boy did not do 911…
The Saudi’s and their box cutters sure didn’t do it…especially the six of them that are proven alive…
So..I elect al-cia-duh…and the FBI…and Bush et all…and the Israel’s…just for starters…
Reading msnbc.com First Read that i missed yesterday. Now, I was stunned that palin ws talking about Biden’s remarks about an event that would “test the mettle” of te next president within his first 6 months in office. Palin. Who the hell is she to criticize anything Joe Biden says? She’s saying that helps her ticket? Not as long as she’s on it. (BTW, i think Biden knew what he was saying and that they feel confident about having improved the perception about Obama on foreign policy issues – not least because of Biden’s presence on the ticket. Also, the flip side is I think they’re confident that they’ve demonstrated to enough people that McCain is so erratic he’s not the guy you want in any crisis – even one related to foreign affairs.)
Now I read that Palin has criticized Obama in women’s issues!!!!! Palin???? How? because he “didn’t even vet” Hillary. And he pays men staffers more than women staffers while McCain pays equal pay for eqaul work. the article points out why that’s a horseshit argument. That woman is so bogus.
forget finding it. I’ll try to track it down. if I can’t I’ll let you know. Thanks for the offer.
Oh. You already found it. Thanks.
Before my divorce, I used to have the NYTimes delivered daily and Norske is correct when he spoke of their international coverage. Their political coverage is weak, though. I still buy the Sunday Times and enjoy it.
The 9 11 attack on the twin towers and the pentagon was discussed in those CDs that show the explosions on the lower floors. I am not convinced by those arguments though I have a few friends that are.
I have no doubt we have achieved most hated nation status for a variety of reasons…jealousy for the imagined lifestyle advantage…most societies do not have to work as hard as Americans to achieve the standard…and many have sipped further from it. Hopefully Pbama cab turn that around with a better public policy.
Religious hatred is the strongest reason and is not dissipating see Bill Maher’s film.
As long as we are an Imperial power we are a target…since present public is almost the whole world is our “national interest” through corporate globalization I don’t see that changing.
Whether or not there was other players in 9 11 Bushco has positioned us as targets.
If we don’t reverse climate changw it is all moot.
Almsot every comment to that article was very funny. I thought, anyway.
See my response on 28. It was in the Sleuth in the Washington Post. Bluetoe thinks that he looks like he was made up for the House Of Wax.
If you haven’t had the chance to read through it, this compilation reveals the means, motive and opportunity that led to 9/11 and what has followed. Follow the money, power and influence:
http://plungerspeaks.blogspot.com.
You need to connect well over 1,000 dots to see the mosaic. There is a vast conspiracy, and there are no coincidence. Nor is there a “Bin Laden.” Nor is there an organization called “Al Qaeda” that exists independent of the CIA and Mossad.
Good morning, pups. I’m excited that Michelle Obama is coming here today. I’m going to be there working the crowd and handing out literature for my Congressional candidate. I’ll take my camera and try to get an Oxdown diary up about it later.
Thanks for the toast, Attaturk, but I already had a bowl of cereal.
I’m not sure that I want to know what’s under all that make-up. (Chills going up the spine as I try to imagine.)
Bush and his co-conspirators have to be turned over to the Hague for their war crimes. Let the American people finally learn that the leaders they “elected” are guilty of crimes against humanity.
…slight adjustment of your statement…THEY ALL DO!!!
That is my point, the web provides access to all the information and news ANYONE needs including critiques and analysis. Screw the NYT and WSJ. Used to read them and gave them up along with tee vee.
A citizen of America is interrupted while trying to arrest Karl Rove:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ONW43XIeR6E
I have one problem with the theory;
if the administration or the maniacs in the pnac had something to do with the attack, they would have made it an Iraq attack not an al qaeda attack
remember bush and rumsfeld doing their darndest trying to tie the attack to saddam?
this to me is the only weak link to the suggestion that the adminsitration or the neo-cons orchestrated the attack
don’t forget, cheney is actually a failure and a moron, bush is obvioulsy a moron and rumsfeld isn’t capable of anything more co-ordinated then clipping his toe nails
Why do I get the feeling Joe Lieberman & Israel are teaming up to reek some havoc for the new president in 2009?
CNN asks “Can Palin Factor Save McCain?”
But it’s still a mystery whether the “Palin factor” will drive enough conservatives to the polls to offset Sen. Barack Obama’s gains with independent voters.
a “mystery”? “palin factor”? The only “Palin factor” is that she is a drag on the campaign.
Mika Brezinski’s head is exploding trying to defend Caribou Barbie’s wardrobe.
“The emails are right, but what is Barack Obama spending on his suits” Mika, please!
The video “is no longer available.”
The jet/missile that hit the Pentagon was an A-3 Skywarrior (painted in American Airlines colors) from Raytheon’s fleet, packed with explosives, flown by wire using Dov Zakheim’s “Sysplan” technology. It originated from Stewart Air Base, which Roland Lauder was responsible for helping to privatize.
Joe does seem confused about which country to put first.
No I haven’t but I will. You are so correct. The whole world knows 911 is a lie from start to finish. The American people don’t because the MIC controls the media…the MIC owns a lot of the media.
It is kind of like “no child left behind for adults”…
Mossad owns/controls the US and that is that.
http://ak.static.dailymotion.c…..362429.jpg
your comment made me want to go read their comments!
histerical, I especially like this one;
Jim!!!! ya vote?!!!! Are you in Hillsborough? Wherever, how’s it going? was it you who said that poll workers there were being told to require 2 forms of ID? Turnout in Orange was massive on Monday. Friend had to wait 2 1/2 hours in line. i went after lunch yesterday about 3 o’clock and it wasn’t so bad. Waited 45 minutes. I think it took me about 5 hours to vote that damn ballot, though.
No, they would not have limited the false flag accusation to a single country, as counter-attacking against one single country would not have fulfilled their entire goal of rolling up Iraq, Iran and Syria (thereby creating “Eretz Israel”). They specifically needed to blame an organization that they could proclaim (falsely) operates in each of these countries. They quite simply want ALL Arabs dead or displaced, and they want ALL their territory, water, oil, etc.
Are you serious? Already?????
Here’s a direct link to the site I found the video at:
http://miaculpa.blogspot.com/2…..-most.html
I was going to quote one here, too. As I scrolled down the list I said “OK, that one.” Would go to the next comment and “No, that one.” And on and on. Thanks for the article.
Gonna vote today if I get my chores done early enough before time to go to the rally. Thanks for the heads up on ID; I’ll try to dig out my actual voter registration card just in case.
I’m in Gainesville. I hear the lines in Miami are incredibly long.
I really don’t know who was behind 911, except that it was AQ. But I do believe that after the collapse of the USSR and any serious threat to the USA hegemony, a straw dog enemy needed to be created to justify the MIC and the aggressive foreign policy.
Irak was a target because the MIC needed to erase the “failure” of Vietnam and knock off the straw dog (which they had created) and show how the American war machine was unchallenged and unchallengeable. And how handy that it had a strategic position and sat atop all that oil.
It is unfathomable that our multi trillions dollar MIC was caught with their pants down on 911 and 4 planes were flying around US air space for more than an hour and nothing was done.
And then the most highly guarded air space and building (pentagon) was hit and no film of the “plane” is available? Ha? The DOD would not take that sitting down and got their boys pumped to kick ass. Don’t you remember the patriotic hatred for arabs at the time?
Speaking of “country first”……. Obama’s campaign is telling us not to challenge anybody unless you’re sure they voted already (lol). Now that’s probably because they’re going to deploy us in “problem” precints which means those precincts are favorable to us so why would we want to challenge anybody. nevertheless, our approach is as many people as possible should vote. McCain people too? Sure. because bottom line, the more people that vote (and have their vote counted) the better we do. We want people voting. They want to suppress as many as possible. Who puts country first and who’s putting party first?
…and Rumsfeld admitted on video that Flight 93 was shot down too…
sander, I am with you, we know as a fact the president had specific and pricise intel telling him when, where, who, how, and even the buildings targeted
he did nothing and literally stood down, this we know so I am with you
yet there is that weak link with them trying to convert the al qaeda attack into a saddam attack, that part I don’t get accept for this hypothesis;
“you allow an attack against your country with the terrorist you have, not the terrorist you would hope to have”
that’s my only explanation for the weak link I commented on above
Perris, these guys don’t plan anything – they just hold their crazy beliefs and have others execute their insane policies. The CIA and other spook agencies and the DOD has plenty of capable (as well as incompetent) people who can do these things. Do you think W ever wrote a speech he gave? Do you think he even told them speech writer what to write? Gimme a break. He’s a bad actor who gets off on being at the seat of power. And both W and Cheney are capitalist pig thieves for the wealthy.
What I want to know is….why wasn’t Sen. Susan Collins of Maine and Johnny McTeleprompter worried about AQ Khan and our ports being sold to Dubai:
http://whitenoiseinsanity.word…..k-in-2006/
And Suzie-Q is worried about McCain’s robo calling? Bah hahahahahahaha! Oh gawd, Suzie. Seems to me you should be worried about all the oversight YOU DIDN’T DO for years to protect George Bush & Dick Cheney from any scrutiny!
I wonder if the woman in the video above could maybe take the time to do a Citizen’s Arrest of Suzie & Johnny for turning their backs on the American people in favor of Hitler-like fascism? The woman could stay at my house if she needs to. I’m always happy to help out a fellow PATRIOT.
Somebody told me in some county in FL poll workers were being taught to require 2 IDs which is bullshit. Voting in Orange was pleasant. Poll workers were very nice and helpful. My ID didn’t have the samne address as where I live now and am registered. No problem although it might be other places. Don’t mean to wish you ill so please don’t takle it that way but I hope your lines are long. Bring a book. Or you sample ballot. That takes a good 2 hours to read.
That video of the “arrest” was funny. So was Kerry’s joke that Rove of all people was complaining about. So was George Mitchell’s response to Rove’s complaining.
If you don’t know who Sibel Edmunds is go over to Bradblog and watch her videos. You will learn a lot from the experience.
Hard to know who was really behind the terrorism we see out there. For sure there are “legimate” political “insurgencies” such as the Palestinians and the FARC who see themselves as fighting state oppression.
AQ’s poisition is that they want Arabia for the arabs and want the west out of “their” nations. I can agree with that. They also want to get rid of oppression Arab states like the Saudies which are cosy with the Bushes and the Oil companies and… the West. I am OK with that too. So this makes them an easy bogie man for the MIC as a convenient straw dog target for a “global war” over in the oil rich ME.
The TRIED to tie AQ which stated it wanted the US out of Arabia. They did it with false and phoney information and this was their excuse to attack Irak – AQ was working with Saddam and being trained by him and had a plane there to plan hijacks.. remember? All FALSE. But the people bought the rubbish and hated that we were attacked and signed up like lemmings to kick ass… and preserve our way of life – OIL. How convenient. The terrorists were trying to take OUR OIL! Kick those creeps to the curb. All the viscous haters signed up to kill – What a bizarre state of manufactured consent.
And the controlled demolition of towers put the fear of god (bush) through us all.
This baby is for all the marbles.
And if you believe jet fuel can melt steel in an hour don’t fly jets, if you value your life.
Peace NOW damn it !

Nothing but a bunch of WATB limp wristed morons Karl Rove and the other members of the WATB Party are! Love it.
Yes Raven. Thanks. LOL
Right, only really smart people understand that 9/11 was an inside job.
Good Morning
what up
9/11 conspiracy theories will forever stand as a monument to the fuckup which is Bush.
I’m down with the Easter Bunny
Al Q was started by the CIC…funded by the CIA.. They are the CIA.
The Al-cia-duh was started in an effort to get the Russians out of Afghanistan.
The Taliban were in the US negotiating the price of allowing the pipeline to cross their countryside. US didn’t like their price…so boom!
Alexander the Great was the last one to conquer Afghanistan…and will likely always be the last one to conquer Afghanistan.
bin Ladin won.
Swim’s up
Hope we see her on the Daily Show soon!
lol

pruff!!!
morning ee :)
cool!
Rove was lucky she only had handcuffs.
Don’t we wish! that is priceless! sent it everywhere, thanks.
My sense as well. This nosedive was a deliberately engineered event. Palin a distraction from the uber looting of OUR treasury, what’s left of it.
It;s all about the money.
like someone said, cui bono?
