I suspect that though the Senate is generally more staid and, to appearances, less driven to testosterone madness (the House is iffy in this regard as far as I’m concerned) than Wall Street, women would tend to be better in general in these positions. There would certainly be less of a “need” to appear manly man to voters who simply wouldn’t be expecting a woman to be all manly man to begin with. No need to beat war drums or call for war all over the place to enhance one’s manly man toughguy resume…and if you get more younger women in there, they are certainly less likely to be all ga-ga for taking away reproductive rights for everyone (mainly women).

I somehow don’t think that this was what Shumer was thinking though. He was probably just kissing up.
