Trowel, anyone? Via Aravosis:
Tifanie White, who reportedly has done makeup for the shows "So You Think You Can Dance" and "American Idol," was paid a total of $8,672.55 in September by the McCain-Palin campaign, according to the campaign’s latest monthly financial report filed this week with the Federal Election Commission. She was paid $5,583.43 the previous month, records show.
Yes, but can Tifanie cover the ugly on the inside?

You should have been here last night – we discussed cornbread. :)
OT: I had written on another thread about news in Austin. Our paper has endorsed the Dem challenger against the Repub/bush clone Michael McCain. Larry Joe is running a very good race; he had an afternoon conversation here on the lake. We will certainly be watching. The race is one of the districts that Tom Delay completely restructured, so it is a thin stretch that runs almost from Austin to Houston. The endorsement is good. Have not heard the Houston endorsement, although that paper has endorsed Obama. May be a seat and an upset here.
Obama up by 14 in new Pew Poll
The Repub is Michael McCaul…sorry.
McCain is going to go extremely negative, probably like nothing seen before on a national level.
cnn exclusive: palin gambling in las vegas. energy independence is her “forte”.
I am pretty certain mccain had some kind of height prostetic in that first debate, the two candidates looked about the same height and that is not the case
if so, that would account for some of the makeup fee
And McC is hearing footsteps – poor old thing.
Palin wants to give every child a chance (speaking of special needs). I wonder if that counts only for “real” american. or if “fake america” is “special needs”.
no offense (disclaimer: I have a special needs child).
I thought he did that already?
Can we guess what else he’s going to throw out there? He’s already been “palling around with terrorists”.
I think they’re going to use the Cheney family tree. What’s your guess?
I am even more boring.
Well, is it socialism to want to give our $$ to all those kids? Ask her.

That very one…the gift that keeps on giving.
Not if it’s for her kids…and they like to travel, too. :P
And the rethugs had the balls to complain about a John Edwards haircut??!!!
At least that made him look better, not prepared by an undertaker for burial.
Plus Lively Old Man on me teevee with the air quotes again: Obama wants to “spread the wealth”. He reminds me more and more of Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers movies.
I voted yesterday, and I swear I was so happy I was almost giddy….the hope and fresh air. The very thought of the alternative makes me shake…Imagine having to think of Ms Palin as my President? Oooo, come on.
McShame wants to spread the debt to kids and grandkids
My guess is this would not cover his “height help”. I commented at the time that I thought he had specially built up shoes and lifts during the debate since he’s generously 5′7′ and Obama’s 6′1.5′.
As I understand from people who know him, McCain is beyond sensitive about his lack of stature. My guess is that any adjustments to his footwear, tailoring would be an item he or Sugar Momma would pay for so it would not show up in FEC filings.
link?
That’s funny. Someone here always thinks of everything. Did someone earlier say “boring?” Not often.
I received an email notice. The paper is statesman.com.
But…but…the procedure worked so well before…All I can opine is that the patient must have failed the medicine.
;>)
This is a little less than $300 a day, or 450 if you consider that McCain doesn’t campaign on weekends.
I am so glad you asked….I checked and it also endorsed Cornyn. That’s too bad although the opponent though strong probably does not have much of a chance.

The Republican National Committee appears to have spent more than $150,000 to clothes and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family since her surprise pick by John McCain in late August.
According to financial disclosure records, the accessorizing began in early September and included bills from Saks Fifth Avenue in St. Louis and New York for a combined $49,425.74.
The records also document a couple of big-time shopping trips to Neiman Marcus in Minneapolis, including one $75,062.63 spree in early September.
The RNC also spent $4,716.49 on hair and makeup through September after reporting no such costs in August.
