Although 12 hours - probably more if the polls stay ipen late as expected - is gonna be exhaustiating. I’m going to miss alot of teh results. I can’t remember which state it was and I don’t even know if it was true. But, somewhere, the repubs (not the official republican party) were calling on off-duty fireman and others to go to the inner city to ‘help out’ in case unqualified voters were trying to vote. The room was packed to overflowing. SRO. Hard to estimate how many people were there because tehre were eople out in the hall who couldn’t even get in. People sitting on the floor. The lecturer gets up looks at the room and says “Wow.” they were happy. I’m very encouraged by the turnout. Even more encouraged by the Obama organization and how well, organized, it is. they’ve learned alot from 2000 and 2004. Less encouraged by the fact that we’re even needed in such great numbers and not encouraged by hearing the things to look out for. But I am confident–very confident– we can deal with whatever comes up. If we lose this state, I honestly believe we’re going to have to lose it fair.
