The Cincinnati Enquirer today ran a front page story about problems with “voter fraud”, and the lovely and hack-tacular brow mopping editorial cutter and paster Peter Bronson, whose column consists of winger spin mad lib’s, wrote yet another column blasting Jennifer Brunner, Ohio Secretary of State, for giving Ohio a black eye because she wants to make sure the great unwashed (translation, the poor, minorities and Democrats) are allowed to vote. They did not endorse a presidential candidate today. I await their official grovel to their GOP masters will be published next week. I hope they DON’T endorse Obama. He doesn’t need the Enquirer’s creepy mojo.

Don’t you know, also, that the stealing of the election this time would cause far more protesting than 2000, at said inaugural had my neighbors, my partner w/ a then baby & not yet six year old forced to escape the bulls through an alley (cold and rainy day that it was). For myself, I had to sit in a cold, rainy metal bleacher for hours having to pee but in no way able to move. & even then, & even though none of us even cared for or voted for the dregs of the Gore family (yes, I would still bed his cousin, even at his great age, if given the chance, as his mind is still so beautiful) & the sen from conn as opposed to this time w/ even some of my most hard core lefty friends actually sending money to our guy this time?

& also, don’t you know, that the fat cats should have enough sense to know that even hurting one hair on Obama’s head at this point or stealing this election would cause such a world market panic that even their golden parachutes would not save them?

C and C++ are meant to compile to machine code, which gives you, of course, bitwise access to locations. I meant to draw a distinction between those languages which compile to machine code as opposed to those which generate code for an intermediate “machine” — “interpreted” languages, because it is possible, with the right extensions, to get down to the bit level with those, but nowhere near as straightforward. So yeah, in this context Assembly == C == C++.

In the If statement for mcsfb I have

mcsfb_count = mcsfb_button + 1

in two places. It should read

mcsfb_count = mcsfb_count + 1

I didn’t catch it because I wasn’t paying attention and since it didn’t effect my explanation of the process I didn’t catch it. The vote switching algorithm should properly be an If-Else conditional but I didn’t want to go there and lose everybody.

“2) This one is for the lawyers — could the Obama campaign sue the GOP or others (Rush, Hannity, et al) for slander or libel for continually calling him a Muslim or one of their other flatly untrue statements?

I know the standard is higher for “public figures” — if memory serves, the person must have known or been “malicious” (i.e. reckless disregard of the truth) — but hasn’t that standard clearly been met here?”

I think that if it can be shown that it was a “strategy” and that they knowingly knew that any statements were false it would be actionable. I recall that Gen. Westmoreland successfully sued CBS for a libelous statement a few years back.

Who would do it? Just askin’?

Great point.

Even if McGramps was to do the impossible, we’ll still have Congress.

And yes, I know their performance has been found wanting the last two years, but if they let this slide, it really would be time to move to Canada.
