If you can help Bill out at all, please do. He’s been able to do TV ads this year, and they’ve helped immeasurably. Also, he and his volunteers have done a massive voter registration drive, which is bringing in a lot of young voters. (Of course, when my father was out registering people the other day, a woman came up to him and said, “you shouldn’t even be here.” Another guy said, “get out of my way, I’m a Republican.” There is no room for any ideological differences as far as those creeps are concerned.)

They also slotted in 5 new candidates into the Emerging Races list: Julie Bornstein (CA-45), Bill Durston (CA-03), Rob Hubler (IA-05), Bill Mitchell (FL-09), and Georgianna Oliver (OK-01). It’s a mixed batch of really bad Democrats who won’t support the most crucial Democratic principles and values to absolutely outstanding progressive leaders like Bill Durston.

Can I just ask that you mention who you think “bad Dems” are when you make a statement like this? I happen to know Rob Hubler, and he is an outstanding progressive in a tough race against one of the most bigoted ignorant wingnuts in Congress, Steve King. It is not fair to lump him in with unnamed bad Democrats and leave the implication that he might be one of them. If you would help him, that would be great. But don’t hurt him, for heaven’s sake. He doesn’t deserve it.
