"I’ve heard the same things ("terrorist", "traitor") said about me at Senator Obama’s rallies"
So John McCain is attending Obama rallies? That doesn’t seem like a good strategy to me, but then again, I’m no Steve Schmidt — and that is really "Mavricky". Maybe McCain is sending his six-foot invisible rabbit Harvey to check things out for him.
And hey, way to follow up with a request for evidence there Dana Bash, when is the next McCain "Dry-Rub" get together anyhow? Good journalism.
And hey, hey, more McCain manufacturing a new reality — he sure did used to love him some ACORN, even more than we originally thought.

ZED!!! Zed is dead…long live Zed!! We now see our history as one uninterrupted spring of fascist reality…jest ask Crazy John McCain!
P.S. Didja know that Crazy John McCain was a POW??!!
It took 3 tries to get the whole statement out. If there was an award for worst liar, it would go to him.
Great post – thanks Attaturk – my digg function is kapoot but urge functional firepups to digg this fine post sooner than later.
Way past my bedtime – niters all you fine, intrepid late late late nite firepups. zzzzzzzzz
Is there a single independently verified case by the MSM of one of us calling McCain a traitor at an Obama rally?
His IRC group likes to kill Nuns sure and is guilty of killing poor people who want a decent wage but traitor?
Nope I reserve that for Bush Darth and Scooter after they leaked Valerie Palme’s name, leaking our spies name is treason!
http://www.guardian.co.uk/worl…..johnmccain
Some ’splainin’ may be in order; someone is a liar.
Sorry that was IRI not IRC I need sleep
http://www.coha.org/2008/06/a-…..d-the-iri/
Sorry without John’s medical records there is noway we can prove anything and I do not see us getting them before the election. Besides even in American jails prisoners get messed with some times tortured and killed.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/worl…..johnmccain
That story however I doubt its too convenient its to calculated to get Christian votes a group that has never cottoned to McCain at least until Sarah came along.
The story and the comments are the interesting.
When there are two contradictory stories being told, it boils down to which is the most likely, which is the most self-serving, which has the most to gain from the telling. It is interesting that the head prison guard was found at this point in time and they had this story to tell.
The complete mass of propaganda produced from that period sill hides unforgivable facts from most Americans, supporting a massive public denial of what actually happened. There are so many lies, for so long, my tendency is to believe the new story, but with reservation.
The North Vietnamese prison guard is not known by me to be a liar.
John Sydney McCain III, not so much.
There were vets that were tortured plus we can’t prove anything without those medical records. I don’t see how Obama can use this without more proof I am open to the idea if you can find more proof.
Nite folks:)
I lefy a message for you yesterday, hope you go it.
So we are told over and over and over.
I would like to have him explain why he makes sure that all information about
POW/MIA men is kept hidden. What is JM afraid of?
I just don’t think Harvey would run oppo for McCain like that.
Good Morning, Firepups!
It’s partly cloudy and mild here in central Jersey, with a few more warm days for us before the cool weather arrives on Friday.
Only three weeks to go, Pups. It’s dueling lawn signs in my neighborhood. Even tho’ NJ has been polling strongly for Obama, there’s quite a crop of McCain signs that have sprouted in the last week or two, including one across the street from us. As Mr. NJP said, now we know for certain what we always suspected: idiots and racists.
I had hoped to get a few more work projects finished by now, so that I could do some volunteering for Linda Stender in NJ-07, but it’s been slow going, and we’ve had home and family needs to put first [Mr. NJP’s mom is in the hospital, again]. Hopefully I’ll be able to do some volunteering before the election.
There’s a fresh basket of herb biscuits on the counter, with butter and honey, and a big pot of coffee, and hot water for the tea drinkers. Help yourselves.
Work for peace, every day.
I cannot manufacture facts, I can only come to some opinion when presented contradictory narratives. Opinion may be baseless, or it may be based on other observation that either lend credence, or do not lend credence to one story or the other; such becomes “considered opinion”. I presented my considered opinion on the story presented by The Guardian. They in turn, have their considered opinions for present such a narrative.
John Sydney McCain III’s extant medical records are after the fact of his incarceration. Would seriously doubt the NV would have forwarded his hospital records along with his release. There is little fact to be gained there concerning his treatment as a prisoner.
If you are looking for incontrovertible facts, you shall find very few. Fewer still that will stand up in a court of law.
Nite TCU. am away as well
Well, early last evening I happened to stumble on Fox, where Tammy Bruce was speculating on the possibility that the people shouting “Kill him!” etc. might be planted by the Obama campaign or by Obama sympathizers. Tammy said this thought occurred to her because that’s what she used to do when she was a liberal.
I threw a pillow at the TV.
In May 14, 1973, US News & World Report published John McCain, Prisoner of War: A First Person Account.
McCain does not mention any guard drawing a cross, but he does mention breaking his right leg, and both arms when he ejected from his plane. In his own words, the injuries were the result of the force of ejecting…not from torture.
Wouldn’t call McCain a traitor but I would call certain individuals in the corporate media “traitor.” Worst media money can buy.
Mcpalin is looking, sounding AND acting increasingly more disassociated from reality by the hour and day…..truly scary.
On an equally disquieting note: DU starts the day with multiple headlines of voting problems. Will this hell never end?
Good morning, pups. It’s that putz Bobo and Herbert today. Bobo is wringing his hands about “Big Government Ahead.” He gibbers that by the time the recession is in full force we’re going to see the Gingrich revolution in reverse and on steroids. Mr. Herbert, in “Amusing, but Not Funny,” says that Neil Postman warned us years ago about amusing ourselves to death. The end is near.

The coffee and tea are ready, and I’ve just taken the Thomas’ English muffins out of the toaster. I’ve got butter, honey butter, and peanut butter. Hoover is VERY excited this morning, because Eric Johnson, the ranking Republican in the Georgia Senate, seems to indicate he might be able to register to vote. Eric’s in a lather about voter fraud. The bit from the article that gave Hoover hope was this:
John McCain just lying his ass off 24/7!!!
No one ever ‘used to be a liberal’. Once you’re a liberal you’re always a liberal. In fact, there are people right now who are trying to break free from the neocon movement and want to become a liberal! ;-)
Speaking of equivalence in tone in the media, tell me where one would find the equivalent of this. I posted this WTKK radio spot before. It’s about fifteen minutes long. I hope you can make it through the entire piece.
WTKK Boston has been doing this type of spot against anyone who would challenge George Bush, Mitt Romney or Kerry Healy (She ran against Deval Patrick, Boston’s first black mayor. What was done in the name of “media” was disgusting.)
After listening to this, selise wrote that the call letters should be WKKK.

What an excellent comment. Doing anything else would bring out the sympathy vote for McCain.
August 4, 2008 the New York Sun had an excerpt from “Hard Call: The Art of Great Decisions” written by McCain/Salter. Excerpt titled Solzhenitsyn at Work.
Alexander Solzhenitsyn released his ‘The Gulag Archipelago’ to the West in 1973. In the Gulag, he writes “he used a stick to trace in the dirt the sign of the cross”.
McCain praises Solzhenitsyn’s writing and amazingly he has the same experience with a guard.
I wonder if Jay has ever been dragged down the road behind a truck because of the color of his skin or maybe that ugly haircut of his? Spit.
Here’s local rag’s coverage of the non-TowneHall he had here yesterday
http://www.starnewsonline.com/…..0/NEWS0101
I watched some TV coverage right after ‘Elvis’ left the building and the main point these local folks were making was “Where’s the Q&A?”.

I’m really starting to think that neocons are afraid of liberals taking over America because they can’t handle peace. It frightens them.
Heading to the corner to pick up a dead tree copy in 10.
Will try the address this morning and you can give me a shout if received if you’re at the Lake in the morning. Assume that’s a zero rather than letter “O” and should there be a .com on the end?
I work with Arab kids, black kids, Muslim kids, Jewish kids.
Today I face these kids who contend with Arab, Hussein, the call to prayer being portrayed as scary, Unamerican, and worse. They have to live inside their skins and face a world where this media goes on 24/7.
WTKK is media that should be held accountable.
yep
Because they need all that military-industrial money, as in Why We Fight. Truly repulsive.
And I’m off to school.

They have yet to be convinced of “peace prosperity”. Low oil prices, low food prices, alternative energy etc. I believe that they assume money can only be made if we destroy things.
Yep, it’s because of their relationship with war and the fact they can’t resolve conflicts using words, but instead, throw their sippy cups across the room at you. See? They’re pathetic little babies. LOL
‘preciate the spread (’specially teh coffee). Thanks. I need a Taylor ham, egg, cheese on a hard roll. Some day i’ll put out some grits (whatever they are) and sausage biscuits & gravy if you put out some Taylor ham.
You would have thought they would have been dancing in the streets with the stock market surging yesterday! Oh wait! They realized not one job was created and nothing has changed.
Oh, but they’ll be voting republican this year for change. *rolling eyes*
Maybe you should get some help with the grits….since you are not sure what they are. Wow, is that too bad;) (Think rice only more ground up)
It is good to see that “the rest of the world” has convinced the idiots in the WH that nationalizing the banks, and hopefully other financial institutions, is the only way out of this mess. Of course capping the damn interest rates would go a long way in helping.
Voting for Grand Old Palin is dangerous to the nth.
Nomolos, secretly the right wingers don’t know it yet, but they truly love the idea of socialism. They’ll get used to it at some point. LOL
I thought the picture in this Think Progress post reflects exactly how Johnny will be in the White House:

I suspect he’ll be napping when he’s supposed to be giving a presser to the nation.
Morning all, Coffee is enroute, New song for Sara Palin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZf6m_ROIKo
Morning news saying the McCain econ. plan will come out today…
Something tells me if McCain/Palin get in the White House the rest of the world will consider it an act of war and they will move to protect their sovereignty.
Scary times we’re living in thanks to the American Taliban of the last 8 years!

Hysterical!
The song brought up some memories! Wow. We (as well as most of the country at the time) had one of those record players that was in a huge cabinet. Eddy Arnold, Paul Anka, Elvis, and Glenn Campbell are just a few of the artists who sang in our livingroom for years when I was a little girl.
Waaay OT, but I’ve been waiting for a chance to show you this. One more piece of evidence suggesting that Sarah is not Tag’s mother. Does the 3rd photo from right not look like grandparents holding their just-born grandson? There are more like this but I can’t find the others.
http://www.google.com/search?s…..rth+photos
Time magazine’s the page has a preview of the speech. He is still going with rewarding the banks for bad loans and lots of tax breaks. It did not seem like a jobs program but more of a give everyone a little something plan. Of course McCain thinks that the fundamentals of the economy are strong!
I can wait, can’t you.
Good piece on Salon.com about the McCain melt down…”got we where we want them” as out of touch as “fundamentals are sound.” All showing he is the “risky” candidate. Amen.
Maybe, maybe not but the original specualtion garnered lots of sympathy for the family.
We had the tv on one side stereo on the other. Lots of classical as well as Dean Martin, Perry Como, Frank Sinatra etc. Lots of 78rpm
Since I moved to FL, I’ve only had grits a couple times. Tastes like cream-f-Wheat to me. Only more bland (I didn’t thijk anyrthing could be more gbland than cream of Wheat.) But I’m told by some here that I haven’t had “real” grits yet. Even so, I miss my Taylor Ham (& cheese & egg on hard roll).
My 56 was a response to you @ 42, Rev.
Thank you, Rahm Emmanuel.
Your taste in congressional candidates in 2006 has worked out so well for the Party.
There is a good editorial in the LA Times this morning entitled “Bringing Us Together” about which ticket is more likely to repair rifts “ideological, partisan and cultural…[in our]… bitter and surly populace.”
Gee, which ticket could that be…???
Thanks. The “real” grits are pretty bland, also. The only really tasty grits are cheese grits, but that is a different dish. Cream/wheat is pretty close, but yes, less flavor if you can imagine.
yeah, nice work Rahm
I totally agree! There is something STILL very fishy about the whole thing. Did you read the post I recently did on this? Here it is…
http://whitenoiseinsanity.word…..s-picture/
Since Sarah has a propensity to lie first and hope the lie sticks like glue to those around her, it makes me think this is just one more lie & deceit concocted in her head one day to protect her family’s image (laughable!).
I miss those days! It was a completely different world back then.
I wonder when/whether the Alaska people figured out her gift for lies. It does appear that nothing strikes her mind to distinguish between truth or lies. Scary.
And speaking of Blue Dogs, check out this t*rd in the Post.
Of course, given the author, it should be taken with a Mt. Rushmore-sized lump of salt.
“and their ranks are expected to swell in the next congress” Scary!!
Why do I get this feeling some Democrats are not going to work with Barack Obama on anything? Oh yes, they’ll help George Bush with whatever he wanted, but they’ll hold firm with one of their own. Pisses me off. Of course, the Blue Dog’s ideas aren’t always the best ones and I’m sure Barack will be scrutinizing them as much as they will be him.
BT’s upstairs, he’s got the Frum video
Now we can hear voices: W is coming out to talk to us. That should fix things.
One also has to wonder just how long it will take to put Impeachment on the table
Show me video. Obama corrected his crowd just for booing John McCain. Who’s the better man?
You can bet that within the next week there will be recordings of Obama campaign events where “traitor” and “kill him” are overheard. You can take that to the bank.
governor – sorry about that.
