Isn’t it gratifying to see someone “kick ass” so politely? No shouting/screaming/over-talking the other person……….just wham, bam, thank you, sir with a smile on her face.
*chuckle*
What a freakin hypocrite Frum is.
(You) raise the level of discourse he says.
Then he says Democrats don’t understand, can’t see the threats to America.
Phony, phony, phony. A spoiled mama’s boy, for sure.
Also, those mics at rallies are at the podium. There are not spot mike in the audience. If the volume is registers at the podium mike, the speaker has heard it.
Also, the candidate can mention it at the NEXT appearance if they had to be told about it.
That was sweet to watch, even if I did have to catch it on the intertoobz.
A friend sent me this pic of an Obama supporter last night.
Bush speaking.
Srsly. that should be Frum’s last appearance in the media. He’s got nothing to say, let him retire to his horse farm in Connecticut, or wherever he put it
Dear Mr. Frum,
You are an ass.
Sincerely
Nomolos
Bush is speaking on CSPAN
Is that speaking, or uttering?
just a drive-by for now, lots of stuff going on this morning (stiglitz - thanks elliot!, bush, paulson), but wanted to make sure everyone knew about the senate ag committee hearing this morning too:
No questions for Bush. What a strong leader.
He’s learning to read. Takes awhile.
Off to the grindstone. See all later.
McShame seems to still be having caniption fits over John Lewis’s statement but Lewis was talking about hate not racism. He used some examples of the civil rights era just like everything in McShames dialogue relates to the Hanoi Hilton.
If he hasn’t learned in eight years, it’s too forkin’ late now.
Not to be disrespectful…McCain missed the civil rights era. He was away.
Rudy complaining again about John Lewis…says attacks on “all sides.”
He is probably off by now for a ride on his bikey.
I do believe the Civil Rights Act was signed by Johnson years before McSFB was deployed to WESTPAC.
As far as I am concerned he is still away in lala land
I think you’re right….he probably missed it anyway. Thanks for the reminder.
He as too busy running around singing, “Let’s get drunk and screw.”
Would that he continue peddlin’ it off into the burning sunset of hell……today!
Breaking curtain news: Crazy John has discovered that Barack Hussein Bin Laden Obama is measuring the drapes at the White House.
This is so nostalgic. I am sure John Ashcroft can help. Ashcroft had to measure the curtains at the Department of Injustice. They were needed to cover “The Spirit of Justice” and “Majesty of Law”. These were Democratic nudie statues that needed covering up. This was very successful and there has been no justice or law since then.
Stiglitz up on CSPAN
At the previous thread the impeachment question was raised. Last night, I watched a long bio about Nixon with the last part about Watergate. The smoking gun all for the coverup plans.
We have an era of covering up for this disastrous war. Where are the people who are outraged? Obviously Nixon was a crook, liar, manipulator, nut case. What are the words for W and why is he getting such a pass? Our treasury has been looted, as we see, and lives and families have been lost and destroyed. Where is the outrage? Will anyone put impeachment back on the table. In retirement W will get all the perks and $$ of a former President. He does not need my money, or yours. He should be prosecuted. He has really stopped talking about the troops and withdrawal. He is cruel, likes death and mayhem. He should not escape without more scrutiny and accountability. (I know, I am really old fashioned.)
So that was Buffett’s inspiration, huh?
did i miss bush? i thought dear leader wasn’t going to speak until 8:30am
oh well, rather watch stiglitz than bush *g*
That was just an odd exchange between Rachel and Frum. He pulled that shit outta his ass. I’m not sure her response was on target but I was grateful she didn’t let that bullshit slide. And she did it without screaming at the guy– even though he deserved it. When is Wolfowitz going to be on? Palin has has a standing invitation. Saw barack talked to a sports reporter in Philly the other day. Just sports talk. Palin was also invited to talk to the guy when she was in town getting her ass booed and she turned him down. Guess she doesn’t care about Joe Sixpack.
Ever heard this?
rachael misses a HUGE oportunity and lets david get away with PURE CRAP
david has the NERVE to say “with a democratic majority and president some real damage can be done”
IS HE OUT OF HIS MIND?
Yep: Come and gone. I know you are sorry.
Frum did not appreciate Rachel’s wit - Like the rest of the rethugs he doesn’t understand anything but illogical ranting and raving.
I hit enter before done
rachael needed to POUND him on that;
with the republican majority more damage has been done then the history of this country
she NEEDED to say;
“if the democratic party simply UNDOES the damage the republicans have leveled at at this country we will be FAR better off”
man, I hope she revisits that statement, he is quite pleased with himself he got that in without any response from rachael
quite pleased indeed
Maddow is scary smart and a pleasure to listen to.
Frum’s attempt to reference Gandhi reminds me of a different quote: “First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”
In short order, Maddow looks to be going straight from the initial result of non-violent action and is hurtling towards the ultimate one.
Yeah, bring on Wolfowitz. Rachel is quaking in her boots. ha.
bom dia pups
Namaste, Wobbs. You’re up early.
that’s the troth.
thanks for the hearing details, too.
FRUM enabling racism??!!!
Maddow was so restrained. A Rhodes Scholar, and Frummy was so outclassed, regretful & almost ashamed that he had to be in the position of defending the obscenity of Republican political tactics. What a great way to be a Democrat. Rachel is the best.
i like stigltz. he ties together the practical and moral need to support to those in need.
Send him a new pair of socks before he comes.
http://darisa.wordpress.com/20.....itz-socks/
bom dia, SD. we have guests that were evacuated yesterday. hoping demi and familia are safe.
Somehow, I’d missed that one, LOL. Looks like it came directly from Dr Demento’s catalog.
I think Rachel would destroy Volfie. His ideology has been so discredited, Frum’s as well, that they find themselves defending the indefensible. The product of 3 decades of reichwing think tanks is now in flames and hurtling towards hell.
Yes? Frum is a classic case…WATB. He sees his unnecessary yet profitable wars becoming extinct. Like I said last night, take a seat in the back, Frum, and get comfortable. Welcome to the 21st century. Here’s your blankey and binky. You and your neocon friends’ time has passed.
Frum never even watched Rachel’s show before he got to the greenroom.
http://frum.nationalreview.com/
frum did fine, rachael did fine also, she probably wound up on top but she does have the bully pulpit, frum did fine, no douby about it
she is not as disrespectful to her guests as hannity and others so it’s harder for her to really do damage
It was real big in FL in the early 80’s.
I know. I don’t think Frum appreciates wit or humor at all.
kdh is right, he’s a WATB
Uh, yeah.
Was that a trick question?
It is not necessary to be disrespectful to destroy the enemy. It requires skill, which Rachel has in spades over people like Frum. Given the opportunity I have no doubt Rachel could hand Frum et al their asses on a platter and they’d think they’d been paid the biggest compliment of their lives.
Paulson & Bernanke give another empty speech.
Excellent advice.
As I have said before around here, it will be good to have adults in charge again vs. the ideological WATB’s whose ‘theories’ have driven us into this ditch.
between those too and Bush — spiking the DOW futures.
They’ve got nothing they can say. Their blind adherence to Friedman’s economic policies have made them impotent in handling the situation.
Bair (FDIC) joins the useless speech group.
We should set up a pool on how many programs there will be before they get it right. Talk about erratic.
They’ll never get it right because their model is so seriously flawed.
Christy’s upstairs
Is McCain About To Be Tinkered And Doled?
Another Grayson-Keller
pissing contestdebate.http://www.orlandosentinel.com.....4985.story
I left Rachel an e-mail at her MSNBC site.
Have to let the good ones know we appreciate them.
Rachel is one smart, respectful woman, driven by facts, she handed Frum his lying ass. The dems were not the problem, and the dems, when elected, sure as hell won’t be the problem either.
OT: Has anyone heard from Demi, sunday morning, she wrote about the fires, has she written since???
Truly amazing this character who wrote speeches for the worst tragedy in American electoral history is calling for a higher discourse than the wit and satire of Rachel Maddow, meaning I guess a more pompous delivery, ranking apparently Jonathan Swift somewhere behind Inspector Clouseau. He thinks, if that’s the word, she should invite to her program his pal Wolfowitz, who still sees WMD behind ever tree. Maybe they can be on together as Quixote and Sancho.
The Republican response to Today and Tomorrow? A new cold war and more tax cuts for the wealthy.
A “conservative think tank” is merely a dog chasing its tail.
I guess maybe just maybe Frum’s assertion that a dem president with a dem majority in Congress would lead to danger and destruction might be based on his experience with a republican president and a republican Congress? was that his point?
nah.
And what a nice guest to attack the host. I don’t know how Rachel kept her cool. I know I couldn’t in that situation.
Rachael owns Frum.
On his blog here he explains he had his period and was cranky.
