- George W. Bush is such a big socialist.
- Good luck with that -- Frum tries to calm the mob.
- Sarah Palin's Pentecostal problem.
- Now McSame is also hiding behind Cindy's skirts.
- Starting to see more of the L-word these days.
- But I'm actually worried about this, too.
- Get a freakin' job people!
- McPalin in WI; Obama in OH; Biden in MO.

I’m not an Obamabot, never have been, but I will say that the Obama team is doing everything they can to unite this country. Their message has always been one of unity. The repubs are working just as hard to keep us divided. If there was no other issue, this would win my vote.
If I may whore…
Who likes a good Theme Song?
Okay, how about just one where McCain & Palin play Archie & Edith Bunker, instead?
Still watching FoxNews. Now they have on some singer with a new song “Drill Here, Drill Now”. That’s the least offensive thing on their show so far. Next up, back to ACORN with a banner about stealing elections.
These people are working around the clock to make Americans distrust and hate Obama.
Well Obama has always admired FDR, here’s his chance to step into his shoes circa 1933.
OT but might be good to promote: from Huffpost, readiness to take office Obama va McPain, plus code of conduct pdf from Obama - McPain doesn’t have one:

That’s hilarious.
McShame doesn’t believe in any regulations
Thanks.
The last couple of paragraphs, and especially the last sentence, are the takeaways.
priceless!
Great links, BT. It’s especially good that Time is on the case of the witch
doctorpreacher. That’s good. It reminds me of a roast of Pat Buchanon I saw on PBS a long time ago. Someone said that Buchanon’s favorite weekend pasttime was to rent the movie Roots and run it backwards.
Here’s my latest attempt at getting John McCain to explode like John Cassavetes in the last reel of The Fury.
Think it’ll work?
That’s what is going to get us through the next couple of years.
Buchanan cried at the end of Schindler’s List.
But for all the wrong reasons.
LOL. All those lines were more amusing, though, before the Bush Administration actually took us a long way back toward the Gilded Age.

Wonder which lobbyist firm she’ll fall into after January.
CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) — Sheriff Thomas J. Dart said Wednesday he is suspending foreclosure evictions in Cook County, which had been on track to reach a record number of evictions, many because of mortgage foreclosures.
He said many of the evictions involve renters who are paying their rent on time but are being thrown out because the landlord has fallen behind on mortgage payments.
Mortgage companies are supposed to identify a building’s occupants before asking for an eviction, but sheriff’s deputies routinely find that the mortgage companies have not done so, he said.
”These mortgage companies only see pieces of paper, not people, and don’t care who’s in the building,” Dart said. ”They simply want their money and don’t care who gets hurt along the way.
”On top of it all, they want taxpayers to fund their investigative work for them. We’re not going to do their jobs for them anymore. We’re just not going to evict innocent tenants. It stops today.”
This seems like William Ayers doing!
I saw that. A reality-based sheriff. Oh my.
Here’s a link to an article on the Republican Party’s base.

LOL!
A genuine hero — someone how knows what the right thing to do IS …and amazingly enough..is going to do it.
A major donor to and supporter of Palin/McSFB, allow me to introduce Mr Wade Williams, a fine patriotic American. /s
Dude’s been around for 75 years and hasn’t learned a damn thing.
Whoa - wait a moment - that guy is a 75 year old racist a**hole who also probably has some dementia issues — he’s not..oh, wait a minute…McCain — over 70..check…racist a**hole, check…probably has some dementia issues…check…
Sweet Home Chicago! Never underestimate the power. That One went back to Chicago because of the people.
Any thoughts on the totally incompetent job Justice has done with the Steven’s case? Looks like he is headed for acquittal because of mistakes even I wouldn’t make and IANAL.
Hopefully, all McCain and Palin rouse them to do is to vote for the first time. Their campaign is playing with fire and they don’t care.
looks like the Feds threw the fight
The mentality and consciousness of a 4 year old playing with matches. When they go down in flames they’ll have no idea why.
I said that right out of the box. There should be a lot of openings at DOJ come January. Perhaps we can get some real attorneys to fill them. Graduates of Regent and Liberty need not apply.
Time for more Justice Dept. bonuses for exceptional work.
What do folks here think of dKos these days? The Front Pagers are good but I find a lot of the diaries on the rec list are a little on the low side as far as basic intellectual content. I like dKos and visit often but it is too much of a Dem cheerleader site for my taste at times. You have to filter through the fluff to find good stuff.
I don’t care if they apply. I just want somebody running the hiring process who can tell a real, unbiased, qualified attorney when they find one. Somehow, I don’t think many Regent or Liberty grads will get through such a process.
Got to be a way to weed out Federalist Society members as well.
Jim - we all have our biases - what we can work for is getting people who are biased toward honoring and following the Constitution of the United States. That would be a really huge change.
It just seemed to need a little je ne sais quois touch-up. Hope you’ll forgive. *g*
Really? Wow that’s just sooooo interesting. /s
Federalist Society members say they do just that. Problem is they don’t see it as a living document. Since reproductive rights and other modern issues aren’t covered specifically in the Constitution Federalists don’t believe in expanding the scope of the document.
You mean like, oh say, upholding their oath of office?

If it is not a living document then it must be a dead document. No wonder they abide by trashing it
or how about an AIG retreat!
My 44 for you
details, details!
There’s no way Wall Street or the Rethugs can spin this story.
as usual for me…the link is not working…
sorry…it is worth looking up…
I wanted to use the dead document thing but couldn’t come up with anything on the fly.
Our local hate radio WTKK has a hatejock calling for patriots to do everything they can legally to work against Obama
and to work for his IMPEACHMENT when elected.
(He says that the 40 to 45% - the true patriots - should see themselves as a government in exile during the Obama administration.)
He has also stated that bigotry is all that is left to use against Obama.
It’s not enough that these geniuses have brought the country to its knees. They are now sadly having to use bigotry, cuz that’s all they got, and plan for impeachment proceedings.
shit, they are blaming the meltdown on shiftless no good mortgage takers, you wait they’ll spin it.
The futures market is up this morning. It continues to amaze me that these people think speculators looking for a quick buck are the backbone of our economy. JHFC.
They’re trying “that is the way they always did things” and Obama is an elitist you know

They did, yesterday, saying it wasn’t an executive retreat, that it was for insurance selling sections and had been scheduled long before the failure. Whoopie.
I always respond to those folks with “that is a difficult position to defend given the fact that the document it self provides provision for its’ own revision.”
My darker side makes me wonder what would happen if some crackpot speakers began rousing loner woman-haters about the dangers of a female vice president.
One of the geniuses used to phone it in from New York and pretend he was in Boston. This genius lost his job on Tucker’s old show (he was asked not to set foot in MSNBC again)
so he moved to the North Shore.
The other genius hails from South Carolina, talks about being from a trailer park, and settled west of Boston with his wife and four kids. One of his first WTKK deeds was to attack teachers in the public schools which prompted me to ask, “Why did you come here?”
Just didn’t want you to tarnish South Boston with these hatehacks who moved to the suburbs.
They’re working on the Romney 2012 campaign; you know, the guy that insulted Massachusetts all over this land while running for president. Yeah, he did this while Massachusetts endured him as our most loathed governor.
Impeach Obama!
Romney 2012!!
Thought the “L” word meant Labor. Silly me.
people still here
?? that was a question
jeez. off to a bad start. my 66 was supposed to clarify that my 65 was a question not a statement. not a reply to you oldnslow
their answer, and i think a correct one to that point, is that the provision for revision is by way of the amendment process not judicial decision. don’t get me wrong. i don’t agree with FS position. i just don’t see the fact that the constitution can be amended as supportive of an activist (I’m fine with that word) judicial philosophy.

At a shocking press conference this morning, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama announced that he has a half-man half-bat half-brother.
“Obatma shares my DNA and will be uniquely qualified to understand some of the difficult issues facing mutants in this country and around the world.”
