Down in Clearwater Florida yesterday the crowd verbally abused an African America soundman after Palin made statements about her words being twisted… “N*****” they shouted at the guy simply holding a boom mike. “Sit down, BOY”.

Every MSM outlet ought to be shining a light on this filth.

Then they should ask McCain & Palin why they aren’t disowning and condemning it.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said today that she and John McCain would impose a spending freeze on the national budget and review every federal agency to ensure it was needed.
Those that weren’t, she said, would be eliminated. She offered no examples of which agencies might be axed. Palin promised to balance the budget and “get our economy back on track.” She provided few details how a McCain administration would that.

First off, I didn’t realize that McCain had line-item authority…wasn’t that declared Unconstitutional back in the Clinton era? I thought that it was Congress that passed spending bills and the Executive Branch was to implement them to the best of their abilities.I guess this must be something to do with Palin’s newly discovered “Fourth Branch” powers.

And he’s cheering this?

I also hopes he nails McCain to his support for “privatization” of Social Security…points out that all those funds that YOUNGER workers would have had invested by corporate financial houses would be gutted in the stock market right now. And that privatization would have accelerated the problems faced by SSI to the point where the fund would have needed a trillion dollar bailout in 2018 just to keep elderly retirees in benefits.

He also should point out that the foreclosure crisis is much more widespread than the Feds have disclosed…that rural foreclosures have been vastly underestimated. “Something that anyone living in rural America actually could see happening to their friends and neighbors, but that they never heard the ‘experts’ talking about.”

He needs to use a lot of “your neighbors and friends”, “your family”, “your Mom and Dad”, “your kids” – even more than his use of Main Street (which is a bit sterile IMO). “The cafe run by the couple down the street”, “the factory that hires local kids just out of high school”, make everything local. That’s where Clinton was so great in these types of debates. Obama can do it too.
