I’ve noticed a similar pattern at Berkely.

Well, Berkeley does a little better I think. The exceptions do stand out as particularly painful, though. BTW John Yoo is not a Berkeley grad…think he went to Yale.

You asked yourself a good question. Did you google search this guy? There’s a couple of good articles which discuss what’s going on. That way, you don’t have to wait for something to occur to you.
Sorry you have a lack of bandwidth, it’s an interesting interview.
I’ve seen that your comments here regularly. It really does help to be able to access the links in order to learn what’s going on. Best of luck to you on making that happen. If you’re looking for education, it might be worth it to find a way to make that happen.

I was trying to figure out why a work permit would be the basis of denial of entry. It occurred to me that maybe a trade book tour is as much a commercial undertaking the commercial music tour that requires a work permit in the U.S., for one, if you’re from outside that country.

I finally surmised it was a legitimate reason to kick his sorry ass out of Kenya.

Btw, I skipped the interview for lack of bandwidth.

just watched the entire interview, Jane, you are really an incredible presence, Jerome not so much, I loved your sign off;

I have to say though, Jerome did a credible job representing and defending himself, especially his point about footnoting himself, he makes the point, (I don’t know how true I didn’t read his work), that the footnotes back to himself are stories about himself, I agree that a footnote back to yourself when talking about yourself can easily be ethical.

He did continue to say that the corrections were few, you continued to say they were abundant, I wish either or both of you told us how many corrections had to be made, then the listener would decide if there were many or few
