What I would like to hear from Obama tomorrow night is that it takes him time to answer questions because we are in a serious time. It’s not time for soundbites. I would also like Obama to say that he was on a board to improve public education with Ayers and it should not be demeaned. We owe our children a good education. What I would like him to say about Palin is nothing.

After delivering brief remarks in support of Palin, Sheriff Scott flipped the switch and used Barack Obama’s middle name in order to incite the crowd of thousands of people who have already gathered here.

“On Nov. 4, let’s leave Barack Hussein Obama wondering what happened,” the law enforcement officer said.

UPDATE: Palin campaign spokesperson Tracey Schmitt issued the following statement on Sherriff Scott’s remarks: “We do not condone this inappropriate rhetoric which distracts from the real questions of judgment, character, and experience that voters will base their decisions on this November.”
