I hope you’re right, but don’t like the way the polls jog up and down over the most ridiculous matters, like the Palin nomination, lipstick on pig, etc. As Obermann pointed out, the McCain crowd only has to get them to jog up on November 4.

Clearwater’s a couple of hours away. I drove to Jacksonville this weekend and nearly drove off the road. In the middle of Lawtey is a huge billboard with an international no symbol through “McSame”. It was put up by the vasectomy do who advertises everywhere. I didn’t get a picture of it, so I’ve emailed him asking for a photo and a sentence or two on why he put it up, hoping to get a good Oxdown diary out of it. [For those of you who don’t know Florida, Lawtey is a very small, very conservative town in North Florida whose only industry is prison. It’s only previous claim to fame is as one of only a handful of places AAA still labels as speed traps.]
