Rumsfeld threated to fire anyone who worked on the plan for the aftermath of the invasion. I was told personally by someone in an absolute position to know for a fact that the plan from the outset was to “not win.”

All of the apparent bumbling and incompetence was planned – by design, to enable all that has transpired. ALL OF IT.
