I consider Franken one of my heros and, via his books and radio show, one of my key mentors. I’d love to see him in the Senate.

Wow. She must have heard that. I read she hurried off the stage after, but I didn’t notice it myself.

Still, I don’t think that’s the right way to behave at such an important event. It’s just impolite. Ya gotta respect the process.

Right! The stupid stuff cracks me up. I was concerned in the run up to the debate with what seemed like the unanimous view that Biden had to be nice to Plain because he couldn’t make her look dumb. i was saying “let Joe be Joe!” He played it great. Probably was a little more restrained than he might otherwise be. Maybe not. I thought he did well at first but I’ve gone back and read a transcript and watched it again today. He was excellent. My favorite Joe— Bush gave that “appeasement” speech to the Knesset.
