Actually, and this is pretty sad, shooting a man (probably drunkenly) in the face is not even close to being the worst thing Cheney has done in office.

Journalism involves cross-examination of people. And these people you’re seeing on TV, many are actors who play journalists on television, at fees of the kind that actors earn. They don’t know how to pursue; they don’t know how to follow up.

Yep. Last weekend Bob Graham and the former Dem Gov of Mississippi came to High Springs. Not a huge turnout, but our part of Florida is very conservative if you get out of Gainesville, so I was very encouraged they’re working the small towns in the red parts of the state. Obama’s campaign is well organized and focused here.

In watching both debates on CNN (in Japan I have no other channel choice), I noticed that on the independent voter tracker, whenever Obama or Biden said something nice about John McCain, their approval ratings went down. When they attacked him, the ratings went up. Perhaps there are a lot of people out there who really don’t like McCain and want to have their impressions reinforced. So would someone in the know or with the right connections pass the word on to stop making with the nice when it comes to John Sidney. The attacks don’t have to be personal, but the “McCain is my friend” or “I respect Senator McCain” is not going over with the undecided voters.

no need to apologize, man. just talkin to someone yesterday about that. needs to get to Central FL area. coast to coast. really important for him. other areas of the state aren’t as up for grabs. he was in Tampa for debate prep wasn’t he? he didn’t get out too much though, did he? I’d like to see him doing the bigger venues again. probably in the last week before the election. hey, springsteen’s having a concert for Barack & Joe in Philly and one in NYC, if I heard right.
