He demonstrated that repeatedly through the way he ran his campaign and handled himself in a long series of debates against some of the most knowledgeable and experienced Senators, Governors and Congressmen around…including Senator Hillary Clinton, Gov. Richardson, Senator Edwards, Senator Dodd, and myself. The American people learned more about my running mate every day, over a very long campaign, and people even crossed over parties to vote in the Democratic race to support him. Here the voters made their decision, not the pundits.
