I’m thinking the number’s gotta be pretty low. Alaskans are very suspicious of anything that’s organized (except fundamentalist religion). They call themselves individualists, yet I’ve never seen a more stereotypical brand of sheep. Just because you can kill and skin your meat doesn’t make you unique - shit we as a species mastered that art millions of years ago - move along people! As an ex-Alaskan (I had to move back down to the lower 48, couldn’t bear to witness first-hand the rape spearheaded by politicians like Palin), I can tell you that the ignorance, bigotry and paranoia are outweighed only by the alcoholism, meth/crack addiction, and rampant incest - who has TIME to vote! For years, people have been running to Alaska to escape the challenges of civilization (usually via the military). Woo-hoo! Look at me - I’m Daniel and Barbie Boone!
