I understand this day and age `gotcha’ journalism. Is that a pizza place? In a conversation with someone who you didn’t hear … the question very well, you don’t know the context of the conversation. Grab a phrase. Gov. Palin and I agree that you don’t announce that you’re going to attack another country."
Especially from those damned pizza places. No wonder Americans have never taken to this bizarre ethnic food. To appeal to real Americans you have to eat at trendy asian fusion restaurants. That’s what a hero does! As Tucker Bounds will tell you, "for five and a half years John McCain could not eat asian food".
How dare those "townhall" participants even ask McCain their scripted questions. Asking questions is un-American, where do you people think you are, Canada? And Sarah Palin knows all about Canada, while she’s keeping an eye on Russia, she has Trig, Bristol, Track, Lugnut and Distributor Cap watching the Yukon preventing "two-line passes" and "icing".
Just do not ask questions.

Yeah right John is always crying about something isn’t he??
And with that good night!!
Well, John McCain’s problem is just the same problem that all Rethugs seem to have, which is that they believe, and have been flogging us with ever since 9/11, that asking questions is unpatriotic. To question anything that any Rethug does, no matter what level of government, right? From the President right on down. Remember? that’s how they got the MSM to zip up and not ask questions after 9/11, not ask questions before Iraq, not ask questions about domestic spying, not ask questions about torture…see, that’s been the whole point ever since January, 2001. But John and Sarah’s problem is…timing…yes, it’s timing..they are running after a year of people asking a whole lot of questions, and pushing back, too. So we have the bit in our teeth these days and are running with it. Too bad for John and Sarah – because the MSM has started asking questions too(though a lot of them are not admitting that they are toning things down because Sarah just can’t seem to handle it). I mean, let’s put it this way…when Katie Couric comes off as Mike Wallace during his heyday, you’re in pretty sad shape.
The GOP ticket could do wonders for recapitalizing the conventionally wise press.
Speaking of recapitalizing stuff, Bailout: Senate to Vote on Wednesday
Well, considering the phone call I got from my sister this afternoon, I am fairly sure that many senators got many many phone calls, emails, etc. from people who several days ago were yelling “No, No, NO” and spent the day throwing up in the bathroom because they were watching the Dow(and their 401Ks)go down and up and up and down and down. I think a lot of people were willing to stand on the sidelines and let things happen and then when they saw what Wall Street actually DID yesterday, they got really scared. At 4:30 in the afternoon, during my phone call with her, my sister received an email from their CEO saying they are now offering ‘voluntary retirement packages’ – I’m sure they were also watching the Dow and when things did not go their way…
Yikes, NPR news on the hour just said the Russian Stock Market has suspended trading.
Off to find a link.
I wonder how many other companies offered their employees voluntary retirement just the market tanked? Is this a campaign to scare workers to support the bailout?
I didn’t put this in the post for brevity purposes, but check out McCain’s body language and attitude in that interview.
Other’s have taken note of this last night from what I understand, but it’s very revealing. McCain clearly has no idea what she’ll say, he’s fidgeting all over the place and then takes over the interview so he can control it.
Morning I check out your solar calculator as soon as hunger forces me out of bed so I can get my wallet and read my address. I got a slipped disk and right now I’m not moving.
Good point does anyone on the Right now want to change their story about how McCain supposedly vetted Sarah?
Citizen prostratedragon and the afirepup Freedom Fighters:
I checked out the link and I’m a bit nonplussed…what the fuck is the president of a DC investment firm doin’ briefin the press on what the Senate is gunna do on Weneday??!!
Even Aristophenes couldn’t make this shit up here in CloudKooKooland.
Can’t find a link yet for Russian market suspension (not on NPR site). Lots of links for their previous suspensions on 17th-19th.
McCain is starting to sound as articulate as Palin. Is he trying to normalize gibberish?
I expect the GOP will scream Sexism soon and point out that George Bush often gave answers that were not much better than Sarah’s although to be fair Bush does seem better at ducking tough questions.
I expect the GOP to say Sarah in the proud tradition of President Bush is just as ready to serve from day one!
But the Liberal Media can’t stand the idea of a
Jesus CamperConservative being the first Vice President before a Liberal does!Maybe its the War, maybe its the $700 Billion bailout but the stakes are higher this time for the Presidency.
For most Americans George Bush’s failure’s has moved the bar up, simply put we cannot afford another idiot to sweep us off our feet with lots of cut taxes promises payed for with Chinese credit and poisoned food.
We are tired of fighting Iraq instead of Ossama which to be fair ven Sarah but not John seems to get.
In my sister’s case, she works for NASD – and she’s been expecting something like this ever since the Lehman Bros. thing broke — their revenues come from assessments on the investment banks and brokerage houses. So, they’ve just taken a huge hit over the past week. I think their management was holding their breath to see if the bailout would be passed but in reality, this was going to come for them probably anyway. The timing, however, was unfortunate – it looks as if they are punishing their employees for not supporting the bailout enough. But I’m fairly sure that they probably told their employees that they could not email, call or write their Reps because they, after all, have a vested interest – it’s like Warren Buffet making all that noise about the bailout..after he’d invested $5 million in Goldman Sachs. Not exactly ‘an uninterested party.”
CloudKooKooland.
Or CloudKoolAideLand:)
Hey don’t worry about being brief you are all some of us have to have to read and talk about this early in the morning.
wtf-k?
That would be the ethical thing to do but you do not see much of that these days.
>;->
Keep those pens sharp.
Russian stock market on Bloomberg.
Is their another site with this many people talking politics this early in the morning? Its 2:41 in Seattle I can’t get the Times yet and I’m pretty sure all the coffee houses are closed.
Sure I read stuff from other sites but I talk about it here.
I’m sure you will be stunned to know my “what the fuck-over” was not aimed at you.
Citizen ThingsCome Undone and the Firepup Freedom Fighters:
I’m workin’ ICU tanite so I need you folks ta keep me awake and make sure I don’t miss sompthin…by the way, did you pick up on the link from prostratedragon at #3? What the fuck are presidents of investment firms doin briefin the press on Senate business and calendar?? Ya jest can’tmake this shit up…
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/…..ld_indices
All shorts on stock are stopped why didn’t George think of that? Seriously that is precisely the kind of free market be dammed I’m loosing money thinking that I would expect from the Bush White House.
I expect Bush to follow the Russian example in Capitalism soon.
No hassle I wasn’t sure.
“Hollerin’” indeed, it looks as if they’re sitting 20 feet away from Couric, well out of range of the pole Palin’s expression says she wished she had to poke Couric out of the way with. Check out Sarah’s fisheye at the beginning when the camera first isolates on her.
Citizen Raven:
Hey there Freebird, yer “Dawgs” got their tails kicked on Saturday…is the State a Georgia now in mournin’ or are they jest gunna go string up the coach?
Well bubba, I figured a lil radio procedure would be like a hit of amonium nitrate for ya!
Thanks, Bloomberg link looks like current and certainly more comprehensive info.
I am sure the CEO is not a political expert but maybe he is one of the faceless overlords who own/run America and he just stopped by the Capital to give the GOP and Bush their marching orders?
that’s interesting that you’d interpret her look that way – I saw it as her feeling tentative and uncomfortable, myself.
Had nothin to do with the coach. They were big, fast and disciplined and everything went their way. Funny how that happens with 18-20 yer old kids. If USC can get beat by a mediocre OSU team it should be no surprise that #2 can get their asses whipped by #9 (now #2 Bama) Just ask the Gators.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/…..ld_indices
Shares are so Low! Buy Now! Right after the bailout passes the cable business talking heads will start pushing crap again especially financial company crap without once ever examining if the bailout will work.
They will assume that it will because its convenient for their advertisers and their pocket book.
This kind of stuff should be illegal.
Citizen Raven:
It’s nice ta hear a voice of rationality from a Southern football fan…usually when an over rated state university south a the DMZ gets beat by an unranked opponenet the coach might as well look for a job “up north”….and as for USC, they were WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over rated and the Pack 10 is tougher’n most would acknowledge (and that’s tough for an old Big Ten fan ta say).
Seeing that I was born in Urbana, graduated from Illinois, partied with Scott Studwell, watched Tim Brewster play for the Orange and Blue I’m not sure I qualify as a standard “southern football fan”. That said, I have lived here 24 years and I loves some Dawgs!
P.S.
And yer absolutely right about Division I sports accross the board…bigger, faster stronger and plenty a extra hormones…the old sayin’ “on any given day” is surely true these days. (Even Division III…have ya seen a small college game lately…great fun!!!)
One of my buddies who played at Illinois has a son that plays at Wisc Whitewater, I got to see them win the National Championship last year.
Citizen Raven:
You watched my man Tim Brewster, huh…I wasn’t sure about how far his line a BS was gunna take ‘im after last year but this guy ken flat recruit and he’s not stupid…he put tagether a really fine coachin staff …both his coordinators are top a the line and he’s bringin’ in the speed…my Gophers are back in the hunt now in a bad conference that has bottomed out and is gettin better every year.
The weird is getting Strange The Strange is going Pro to paraphrase Hunter S Thompson. I never expected in my life to write that sentence about a Republican President.
Oh clearly. But I think her response to those feelings was to want to poke the source away.
Good Morning! IMO, the coach that will be gone by the end of the year, if not sooner, is Tommy Bowden.
Citizen JPL9:
“…the coach that will be gone by the end a the year, if not sooner, is Tommy Bowden.”
Ken he take the rest of the family with ‘im…the Bowdens have outlived their usefullness.
P.S.
And watch my Gopher hoopsters…Tubby Smith has got ‘em back where they shoulda been all along!
Oh yea, fine tight end on the 84 Rose Bowl team. From Jersey if memory serves. His son had signed at Illinois but switched when Tim took the Gopher job. Shit, I watched Dungy, Upchurch, hell I even remember Ron Behagen, Corky Taylor and Dave Winfield.
Citizen Raven:
Jezus…what’s a bonefide Illini, Big Ten fan doin’ down there in the shortgrass with the rednecks?
Guys msy Sooners got bumped up with everyone else getting KOd. No 1 is the kiss of death for them though
Moved here with my ex, she’s back in Chicago and I’m married to a lady from Appomattox! Athens isn’t really the south, this is a rockin town. You know, REM, Widespread Panic, B-52’s. I wold move back up north for all the tea in china.
The follow-up question Couric missed: as McCain and Palin sit there cheerfully agreeing that “You don’t announce that you’re going to attack another country,” why didn’t Couric immediately bite in with “Do you believe that we are free to attack another country?” And then maybe she could have read them the section from Geneva about aggressive war.
Yea,it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Beware Mizzou.
You mean after that amazing “sneak attack” we pulled off on Irak?
Good morning, pups. It’s Bobo and Herbert today. Poor Bobo is staring into the abyss again, contemplating the “Revolt of the Nihilists.” He wrings his hands and says America’s political leaders have failed utterly to project any sense of authority and to give the world a reason to believe that this country is being governed. Well, Bobo, consider what’s rattling around in the White House… Mr. Herbert considers “When Madmen Reign,” and says the question voters should be asking John McCain is whether he has stopped serving his party’s economic Kool-Aid and is ready to change his ways. And the answer to that would be a resounding “NO.”
http://mgpaquin.wordpress.com/
The coffee and tea are ready, and the Thomas’ English muffins are hot and crispy. For those of you in Georgia, northern Florida and southern South Carolina that sound you may hear in about half an hour is NOT an air raid siren. It’s the seal point Siamese, Victoria, the Empress of All the Known Galaxies, expressing her displeasure at having to take her antibiotics. It’s a piercing sound — if you have ear plugs I’d suggest using them. Have a great day.
If we get by Texas
http://calculatedrisk.blogspot.com/
Calculated Risk thinks that $840 Billion is a better number but that is still more than the $700 billion Paulson wants and this number does not take into account bank loses from leverage on home loans they sold to hedge funds, with loans the banks themselves gave the hedgefunds.
Imagine that every dollar of loss after what ever safety factor of losses the banks and hedges though was reasonable in the business plan they made before giving the loan to buy the home loan debt was reached.
Lets assume then the hedges used 10 to 1 leverage for every $1 of loss the hedges only have 10 cents worth of assets so if they are forced to sell a 10% loss would equal the value of their entire investment in homeloans.
That number of course does not include interest.
a 20% loss after their safety factor of losses is reached would be more than a 100% loss of their investment.
But..But Bobo was the Cheerleader for the Bush administration along with Malkin Bush was bringing the Grown Ups back to Washington!
That’s why poor Bobo [snort] sounds so terribly conflicted and confused recently. He doesn’t like what he’s seeing, but he’s too much of a coward to step up and say he’s been wrong. He just wrings his hands and frets.
Citizen Raven:
Right on…Missouri is gunna be a contender…first Texas and then the Big 12 playoff…that’s a really fine team on both sides a the ball and it doesn’t hurt ta have the best QB in the country holdin the offense up.
Citizen Raven:
I hear that Athens is a lot like Austin, Texas…an oasis in a desert of reneck morons.
Holler back, y’all.
Palin is the gift that keeps on giving.
I keep wondering if she’s that dire and this isn’t all a set up for the debate.
Note Palin’s posture on the side shot across McCain.
Her face is placid but by her body language she is ready to attack and skin Couric. Only she can’t do it with words and she’d get more than 2 minutes in the penalty box for acting on that impulse.
WTF?
it’s not good enough that the House Dem leadership tied themselves to the Bush/Paulson economic plan, now the Senate Dems are going to do the same?
and why the fuck does a the president of an investment company know about the Senate Dems plans before we do?
are the Congressional Dem leadership is trying to prove they are closer to Bush’s economic polices than McSame is?
argh!
I watched the rerun of this last night and thought to myself…if this conversation had taken place in a bar, McCain would have slit Couric’s throat in defense of poor feminist Palin. It was scary to watch.
p.s. good morning. i should have started with that.
p.p.s. to prostratedragon – thanks again for that great link to naked capitalism’s post on the treasury’s sunday night conference call.
That “you don’t just announce you’re going to attack another country” defense didn’t work so well for TOJO.
According to this article there would appear to be lots of folks who are worried that she’ll come off badly.
I thought that legislation for expenditures had to originate in the house
I love when you add that to your comments! Yesterday was “biscuits”…
True Southern hospitality. Marion in Savannah, I bet if anyone here came knocking this AM, you would invite us in!:)
Enjoy your coffee, tea and english muffins.
So, what do you think the new bailout plan will look like?
http://apnews1.iwon.com//artic…..VQ8G0.html
What kind of “fear” talk do you think we will hear this AM @ 7:45?
I’m a bit confused. One article states the Senate will not take it up because they do not think it will make it through the House…another states the opposite.
Smoke and mirrors for the last unitary executive power grab?
i think that’s true for taxes. not sure otherwise. the amount i don’t know about how congress is supposed to work about as big as the shit pile (ie really, really big – in fact, so big no one really knows how big).
welcome to my world. *g*
it may be that we are reading different things from different people who are trying to push things according to their own desires.
It was fun to watch the republics have a temper tantrum yesterday by grabbing their blankets and sucking their thumb as they stormed over to the ‘nay’ side. Beautiful, just beautiful.
i think that was just the excuse they used. i suspect that many of them were fearful to face their voters if they voted for such an unpopular bill. too bad more dems did not see it similarly.
Sorry that should be a 200% loss
What happened to Tom Allen, he voted for the golden parachute forkrysake!! Sometimes there is no telling WTF these critters will do and who has gotten to them.
Watching McC blame Obama for the bailout bill defeat then say (in the same freeking sentence) now is not the time to appoint blame.
Most likely there won’t be many changes to it. I think what we’re seeing is a lot of “I don’t want my name on that” coming up to the election. My guess is that there will be a lot of behind-closed-doors arm twisting along the lines of “your seat is safe — vote yes on the sonofabitch because I can’t afford to” until the votes are rounded up on both sides. It sounds like they had that kind of deal in place before the “Nancy was mean to me” WATBs started sniffling.
don’t know where i got this link (maybe upthread?) to brad setser’s post on the fed. would recommend it for the graph alone. but the first comment i thought was brilliant:
Off to apply my nose to the grindstone, thankful that I have a job I enjoy.
I know. Luckily the bill didn’t pass and as of right now I don’t hold a grudge. Sen. Susan Collins would have used this vote against him until election day if the bill had passed.
Congressman Michael Michaud, however, did vote against this atrocity! I was so pleased. I called his office yesterday to let them know how happy I was. Michaud said he couldn’t put his name to a bill where it gave unchecked powers to Paulson and where there was too much secrecy.
I can’t wait to cast my vote for Michaud in November!
I guess one way to “parse” this is to look at the wire services producing the articles AP and Bloomberg (posted on Calculated Risk).
Now, who would give AP a story? WH, my guess.
Who would give Bloomberg a story? I’ll guess Senate Dems…
And as an aside “gotcha journalism” is a pizza place? Whaaaat????? McCain/Palin must like light, fluffy journalism or “doughnut journalism” ( I think that’s a doughnut shop?) He prefers “empty in the middle” and just a sweet cake outside journalism (sometimes a whole doughnut journalism with only a jelly or light fluffy cream or custard center which klynn’s house fondly calls “sugar bombs!”)
McC and Pal like “sugar bomb journalism”…I knew I could figure it out if I stayed with his “thought process” long enough.
Well, John McCain is saying he puts country first and it appears either the repukes had a temper tantrum yesterday or they realized yesterday that our country would not benefit from this bailout and did put country first. Either way, the repukes are a mess right now. They don’t know their ass from their elbow, because really, they could spin this favorably for themselves, but they have no idea how to. They’ve lost that republican feeling! LOL!
Fun to watch.
morning,
and Pres. Bush will deliver remarks on the failed plan at 8:45am
Here’s what’s on Washington Journal this morning:
7:30 am – David Herszenhorn, New York Times, Congressional Reporter
8:00 am – Martin Regalia, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Vice President for Economic Policy
8:30 am – Rep. Mary Kaptur (D-OH), Appropriations Committee, Member
9:00 am – David Weidner, Marketwatch, Financial Reporter
and you’re probably right – i should take more enjoyment from it. maybe i would if i didn’t think the dems were shooting themselves and the country in the foot (or someplace more dangerous).
so, sarah knew there would be press there, this was a known factor, not a surprise, whe was aked a number of questions and was indeed holding court
is mccain serious?
why isn’t it “gotcha” journalism when the press asked obama the same thing?
it’s ony;y “gotcha” when they ask him or the moron he chose for his running mate?
PUHLEEZE
thanks elliott. iirc, kaptur made some good statements yesterday.
Thos neo-conservatives now want another vote for on TrashCash, Thursday. Corporate Lobbyist Andrea Greenspan on GE, says
“I don’t understand the lack of leadership all around.”
The leadership of her ultra wealthy hubby Allan is more to blame than anything else.
She is a liar, with conflicts of interest as great as her accomplice, Moneypants Paulson.
Bobo thinks that authority is more important than having a good idea and he blames the House GOP for tanking the bailout without ever asking would the bailout work.
Dems and Republicans both have doubts on that score for different reasons. But Bobo seems to think that the new bailout should move to the right to get more GOP votes (this is typical Bobo thinking).
Never mind every step to the right would cost more Dem votes than the GOP could replace. Never mind that the GOP knows the Voters trust the Dems more on economics and that this is an election year.
In other words going Right on a bailout means no deal. The GOP plan was to run against a half ass plan compromise plan that probably would not work but would definitely be unpopular.
But the bailout tanked and now the GOP plus John McCain who canceled his campaign to put together a deal got the blame for a 777 point drop in the DOW and anything else bad that will happen if we do not get a deal.
The GOP is running behind in the polls they want to go home and campaign they need a deal to get rid of the blame for the market crashing when they go home.
Bobo of course misses all of this political reality. Bobo might have been a Chicago reporter but he OBVIOUSLY never understood Chicago’s politics.
Brooks is well THE Suburban Bobo
they have knew and inproved caging techniques this election, they happen to be in place in all swing states
if they have mail or some documentation that calls you john and your license says johnathin, they will remove you from the voting roll
there are other techniques as well, for instance having the registered voters computer crash with the voting roll as well
there are hundreds of thousands of voters that will be denied voting this election
that’s the margin we need to win right there, this is not a cake walk
that’s IF this economic “crisis” isn’t another shock doctrine where the president declares martial law and suspends the constitution
this might be the set up
we have to contact the critters and tell them do NOT let the president make this bill one of his last power plays, get 100 billion in the kitty and that is it, kick this thing down the hall till the grownups are back in charge
Sarah not only knew she had likely to invite the press to get pizza.
i agree with most of your comment. but here’s my problem: “we need to win” – who’s we? because i don’t see anyone representing me. i want the republicans to lose, but i don’t care if the dems win. does that make any sense?
at the moment, i actually think our battles over ideas and direction are where the action is.
i agree about contacting congress.
but the rest i completely disagree with. what grown ups are you talking about? the dem leadership in congress (including obama) who just tied themselves to bush’s failed economic policies more closely than the republicans?
yes she did. she’s been talking sense.
Take a look at this from Bloomberg. Is this Bush’s way of circumventing Congress?
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/…..refer=home
Citizen selise:
I feel yer anger at the Dems but the Chinpenfeuhrer and the fascists in the house jest opened the window ta let the Democrats have it both ways. Forget the “bipartisan” shit (it ain’t gunna happen) and negotiate with the White House ta pass a short term $150 million bill that also includes bankruptsy revisions, forclosure protection and and additional $150million “economic stimulus” all good for 120 days to get us into the new Congress. Clusterfuck has nowhere ta go but into the shitcan with the rest of his party if he doesn’t sign on…if he refuses then the Dems are offa the hook and the faswcists are toast in November.
Jumping in late on a thread I haven’t read all of, but, has anyone pointed out to McCain she was in Philadelphia at a cheesesteak joint and not at a pizza place?
He’s just so out of touch…
and Elliott…
She is able to talk sense because she is in a district in Ohio that has been hit hard by the housing crisis.
She fully understands the realities of her constituents as well as the housing crisis nationally.
With the fate of the Bush administration’s desperate $700 billion bailout of the financial industry hanging in the balance, Representative Darrell Issa, a Republican from California, stuck to his political playbook like a man covered in Krazy Glue. He pronounced himself “resolute” in his opposition to the bailout because to be otherwise would amount to a betrayal of party principles.
To deviate from those principles, in Mr. Issa’s view, would be like placing “a coffin on top of Ronald Reagan’s coffin.”
http://mgpaquin.wordpress.com/
Representative Darrell Issa just cannot seem to accept reality this should effect his poll numbers everyone but the true, true believers should be jumping ship.
Here’s her policy stance on her website:
http://www.kaptur.house.gov/in…..8;Itemid=1
My congressperson, Carol Shea Porter, voted NO as well so I called and sent her another donation. She is a very good progressive but she is in a tough race against the NH gooper machine.
Reruns of Chris Matthews shows a young House republican from CA explaining what happened yesterday and why he took the “heroic” step of voting “NO!” against his leadership’s pleas and promises and threats.
Is John Boehner out as minority leader?
After yesterday, does he have any credibility?
if the dems do something sensible now, i will happily eat my hat (so to speak, i don’t have a hat). and furthermore, i’d be tempted to think we can wait until january. but the dems haven’t been acting sensibly – that is why i think we need to be pushing on them now while we have some leverage.
even if i’m wrong, what’s wrong with trying now?
Did you see her leaning up against the counter when she was there? OMG! Bellying up to the bar in Alaska moment!
She’s not VP material nor is she Governor material.
Please oh please let that be true. Then let him be “out” of Ohio politics too…
Citizen klynn:
Marcy Kapture is one a those folks that are in line ta break into the leadership when we get rid of Pelosi and Hoyer…there’s a woman from New York (blond and very on top of economics) and a couple a women from the California caucus who should be makin’ some waves this January.
my representative, good “progressive” dem jim mcgovern, voted yes. i suspect because he has a safe seat and was responding to leadership pressure.
TCU: Take care of that back! A slipped disc has to be a big hassle.
I agree, dear, I think the Dems need ta draft a $150million bill that has all the language I described and then some and if the Chimpenfeuhrer won’t sign it and if Pelosi can’t keep her caucus in line behind it…then we wait ’til January and get rid of her too!
Ah ha! The truth comes out little by little. Well, someone on here at FDL said last night that witnesses said Boner & Blunt were just standing around at the end of the vote and weren’t really paying attention to what their underlings were doing. Why were they doing that? Because the cocky bastards thought the Dems were going to overwhelmingly vote to pass the bill and they figured they had nothing to worry about. Besides, Boner & Blunt had their “Democrats hate your guts!” speeches all ready to go for after the vote, so they were just standing on the sidelines waiting to give it.
What a shock they got! Bah hahahahahaha!
Who wants to bet Boner got hammered last night? I bet they all did actually!
It would be just like Sarah to have her kids going round enforcing laws that no longer apply (two-line pass dropped a couple of seasons ago). And if Sarah’s such a hockey mom, how come none of her kids are named for the sport? Maybe Levy and Bristol will oblige with Skates or Zamboni or Glove&Blocker.
Thanks! I got an ice pack
Anything interesting happen while I walked the pups?
A post or Diary about replacements for Nancy or Harry would be cool! Throw out some names and why you think they got a shot at the leadership and we’ll vet them!
The only US Supreme Court decision Palin knows about is Roe v. Wade. Does she know about the one about equal pay for women? Guess not. This is why she is wholeheartedly supporting Johnny McWomanHater right now! She knows nothing. Nothing! I bet she also believes Johnny & Cindy only have one house and one car and the car is a 1993 Honda Civic!
Idiot.
Read on a blog the follows Kucinich and Brad Sherman and the “Skeptics Caucus” that what may happen today is that the Dodd bill will be introduced in the Senate with just a few tweaks.
I resemble that remark!
We all do! ;-)
What’s so scary is Boobs Palin thinks Johnny is one of us! Hysterical. I bet she just found out Alaska is part of America and not of Canada as she’s always told her friends and family.
Not today, I believe that they are taking a day off for a religious
holiday.
where to you advise i read to best follow skeptics caucus? thanks!
BT’s upstairs
the reagan “deregulation” philosophy has already demonstrated, long before this collapse, that is is a rediculous hypothesis (and I use the word “hypothesis as loosely as possible)
the notion that a business will act for the greater good when they are not longer forced to pay their bills is bizarre, that the republicans were able to market this bizarre fantasy is even more bizarre
the market canNOT regulate itself, it canNOT self constrain, a market can not even exist without regulation and all regulations do is force those in the market to actually participate instead of steal.
reagan’s “morton freidman” policies were long dead before reagan visited them on this country, he was a failed president in office, shrinking the middle class and destroying our infrastructure, raising taxes not lowering them, and the only reason people believe otherwise is corporate propaganda
that propaganda is no longer effective, reagan is not only buried, he is exposed
