The vehicle used to advance the bailout bill is an old HR 3997 adapted for the purpose “On Concurring in Senate Amendment With An Amendment”. The Bill Title is “To amend the Internal Revenue Codeof 1986 to provide earnings assistance and tax relief to members of the uniformed services, vulunteer firefighters, and Peace Corps volunteers, and for other purposes”

Rep. Marion Berry of Arkansas who addressed him as

“this Howdy Doody-looking Nimrod”

during a floor debate over the Republicans’ plan to cut funding for Medicare and other senior services.

OMG that’s funny. LOL

You are not allowed to blame anything on John McCain.

We promise not to blame John McCain for leading a group of House Republicans to NOT vote for the bill while lying to Boehner about their intentions, so that when the vote went down it would surprise a bunch of people — especially some market investors who were caught off guard by the sudden drop that made tons of money for somebody. I wonder if the people who made money on today’s drop were friends of John.

BTW, does anybody know if Chris Cox lifted the shorting ban? Was all of todays’ drop normal selling?

I can’t imagine how they keep Boehner as their leader. Either a significant number of “his” people lied to him and walked out on the deal or there was no deal to start with and he just lied to Dems.

He left his people split and many voted for the bill, endangering their seats.

Local News….. School has forbidden rosaries because they say that the kids are using rosaries as gang symbols….. anyone heard about that?

to me it looks like discrimination along religion & race lines….

agree 1000%. i just saw some of the disingenuous house conservative snots. what a sleazy looking crew. they were thanking John McCain for coming back to DC and giving them the courage to vote against a bad bill. lemme get this. a day or 2 ago, john mccain was a great leader because he suspended his campaign went back to DC and got a deal done. today, theses people are saying he’s a great leader because he fucked it up.

sigh. i give up with this shit.
