Sadly, this one’s not a joke:

Nationalize our foreign debt.

It’s only a matter of time before one ruthlessly demagogic fake populist or another hits upon this favorite ploy of banana republicanism when faced with a debt crisis. And a debt crisis is where we’ll be soon if this $1.2+ trillion bailout gets approved, and maybe even if it doesn’t.
