Like others, I wanted Kuch. Hell, even Edwards looked good for a while, again.

But they didn’t make the cut. Life hurts. I’m long over it.

Obama, he had a message, and inspired and inspires, hope for change.

I’ll vote on hope, at this point, given what these facist bastards have DONE to our country.

And I’m referring to the 1% who have bought and ruled our elected officials since Nixon (ok, Nixon was brought DOWN by the 1% cuz he threatened EVERYONE!, but they got his ass elected), and then Reagan, and 12 years BushCo.

The 1% have SOMEHOW let the same fucks since the late 50’s and 60’s suck our country dry in every front.
These days’ they are called neocons. They’ve morphed a few times over the decades and from what Leo Strauss originally conjured them up to be, but it’s still the same fucks and the 1% has run them like sled dogs to funnel wealth from we the people into the few hands of the 1%.

But now, even the 1% are running scared as the game got out of control. . . .

Obama ran different in the primary. Then he’s shifted in Congress, and in the National Run.

Am I worried . . . yes . . . but hell, he’s a breath of fresh air compared to the others as you say, and so far, he’s my guy!!!

Am I disappointed he backtracked to get nominated? Yes.

Am I disappointed he’s backtracked MORE to run the National? Sure.

Can I predict what he might GOVERN LIKE, in the future once elected? No.

But I can sure as hell hope, and wish.

And that’s more than any others on the ticket can give me.

Let’s get the man elected, with his VP.

Then, if they don’t take care of progressive issues, we hold feet to fire for our other elected officials, and we mount criticism and dissent for the things we don’t like in the WH.

But for Bhudda’s phreakin sake, let’s get him ELECTED!!!!

Had we progressives been holding feets to fires for the past 30 phreaking years we wouldn’t BE in this sitch.

And so, to that ONE person in here (NOT GW!!!) who is a bigger killjoy for EVERY thing than I’ve ever seen (I sure hope hope you recognize yerself) I’ll close with:

. . . this shit is YOUR fucking fault as much as it is mine or anyone else’s who stopped being active in politics while they turned up the water in the pot on us frogs, and you are doing NOTHING to fix it, but whine and complain about politicians who have to get elected first, to be able to govern and change.

At least the rest of us NOW, are hoping and voting and realizing we gotta DO something.

And the ‘urge for doing’ (heh heh yeh folkie line thanks Joni Mitchell so long ago) wells up GREATLY in us all anymore, thanks to the blogs, and folks who day by day in here at FDL, and everywhere else, keep THEIR noses to the grindstones of false reporting, lies, and thieving connivery perpetuated by people who have shown NO interest in the past 30 years or more in aiding, abetting or helping the middle class in the USA, or anywhere else, to thrive.

You. Not so much. Would you like some more Mad Dog 40/40? Red Mountain? Spanada? You know, to enhance yer cheap whine? If you don’t got something positive to say . . . . I hate to pull the redneck thang on ya, but, why not just GO somewhere else if you don’t like it here so much?
