Rep. Paul Kanjorski (D-PA) on CSPAN’s Washington Journal this morning, reports that the calls to his office on the bailout are 50/50.
Fifty percent say "No." And the other fifty percent say "Hell no."

what..no one is saying, “I don’t know”?
Apparently they threw me out of the sample, and I’m pissed about it. I said “Fuck no.”
i’m with the evil Doctor – Fuck No.
Wolfie is already setting up Obama for criticism……
Love the liberal media.
McCain will be expected not to shit himself.
Obama must not sound intelligent lest he alienate Moron ‘Murka.

Fu*king Hell No!
Even Sesame Street agrees.
Sounds like the public is waking up.
I believe McCain has already failed that test. He’ll be leaving one long skid-mark from now until November.
Elliott, good going!
That being the case, let’s have some fun with him and run the debates in a Gong Show format.
That’s no skid-mark. That’s Joe Lieberman!
707 !!!!
HOORAY! I get to Digg YOU, Elliott!
He should receive a ticket for following too closely.
Just say NO!
It would be difficult for McCrazy not to shit himself when he’s one large piece of crap to begin with.
exactly…what they need is to get Nancy Reagan to do a spot saying , “Just say no”
!!
I still say we give shrub his fracking (how’s that for an adjective?) bailout and extract everything else we want from him…. attach healthcare reform, a huge restore-America infrastructure package, and, heck, withdrawal from Iraq. Why wait? He wants this badly enough.. make him pay for it.
hahahahahahahahahahaha
the skies have opened up big time ,downpour
They are going to bail them out anyway, tough times for everyone, it seems.
Good thing I had just put my adult beverage down before reading that!
my votes:
the republican proposal: fuck no
the democratic proposal: hell no
i’d vote yes on hugh’s and/or james k. galbraith’s plans.
Obama gives GOP an opening

There WILL be a ‘bailout’(the new phrase will be ‘rescue plan’) and once again the American public will be shown that ‘Father/Mother knows best’(yes, that is a snarky comment).

(and no, I’m not voting for him but I’m not voting for McCrazy either)
Battlestar Galactica swear word is fracking.
I said “NO NO NO NO NO. Are these people insane?”
from your first link:
who needs enemies when we have the democrats?
let’s put this in perspective:
shrub’s bailout: $700 billion – $1 trillion (financing cost $42 billion/yr)
healthcare reform: $102 billion/yr
20 yr infrastructure deficit: $25 billion/yr
So.. $169 billion/yr
Iraq: potential savings of $200 billion/yr by cuttin’ and runnin’
‘nuf said.
The so-called crisis is a Republican political trap set for the Dems. It’s been a trap all along. Once they were sure Mc would lose, the R’s election goal became getting the best possible Congressional outcome. They have now succeeded in associating Congressional Ds with Bush and $700BB of taxpayer-money bailouts — what in the wide world could be less popular? Meanwhile the House R’s are against the bailout… just like the majority of the American people saying No! and Hell No!. Anyone see the pattern here? Further, by picking Palin, the Rs increased turnout in terms of (and may I just mention how I HATE HATE HATE the term) “values voters” GOTV — and that will multiply the effect of the trap. More Dem hating, and more Dem haters in the voting booths. Not enough for Mc to win because, face it, he’s got nuthin’, but could well be enough to tilt the Congressional races.
Sadly, I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. But as usual the Dems will fall right into the trap even though it’s not disguised and there’s a big neon sign with an arrow pointing to it.
I know it’s easy to hate this bill, but it needs to happen.
We’ve got to get these dead assets off the bank’s books so normal lending can resume.
I curse the greedy Wall Street bastards just like most people here, but even Amish people will feel the effects of a financial apocalypse.
Repubs can tak about Main Street all they want but WE ARE BEING LIED TO AGAIN !

Does Elliot totally rock? Hell yeah!
Who’s feeding you people all this Lou Dobbs crap?
Look at the fu**ing numbers yourself.
While that racist blowhard -who earned millions playing with the pro corporate side with his old show Moneyline – before both his ratings and show dropped sides completely with the Republican hard core house members, the very members who put us where we are today – are all working to delay the deal – he and all his rich friends are moving their money out of every bank in the country and are moving it to T-bills!
And when the banks loose their deposits – you don’t get your car loans or your student loans and on and on.
Why do you think my own bank – Chase is so wealthy and wants to buy all these others ?? Because those bad mortgages make them even more money in fees and interest charges and sale proceeds to make them even wealthier.
There is a massive financial coup going on – not unlike the media conglomerate mergers. How well did that serve you!? Well!?
The banks are failing day after day – those are your banks!
And not the places where the wealthy pigs like Dobbs and Bush and the McCains keep their money.
Fools!
Or as the sheriff said to the new visitor to his frontier town, “&*%@ you and the horse you rode in on”
Lou if you can’t take the heat, get off the pot!
