FreewayBlogger is an honored friend of FDL. A bunch of us know FreewayBlogger personally, have met FreewayBlogger at blog-related social events, and admire FreewayBlogger’s mission.

Further, FreewayBlogger has never, ever solicited funds from anyone I have ever met, has declined offers of support from myself and others (I have witnessed this), and FreewayBlogger’s website doesn’t even contain a link to ‘contribute’ for maintenance of the blog or support of the mission.

The anti-science / anti-intellectualism of the Bush-McCain years and crowd should be a strong focus of the Obama campaign. That the country has been forced to a standstill on issues such as global warming and stem-cell research by these knuckle-dragging know-nothings is a stain on America. Obama will change that. The American people are receptive to progress.

Their “war on the environment” is also part of the belief that they are all about to be imminently raptured, and thus environmental concerns are of little to no consequence.

The Flying Spaghetti Monster has few tenets other than take care of this ball of dust, and love your fellow man, pastafarian or not.

It seems the precepts of fundamentalist evangelism are a wee bit more complicated than that.
