The Villagers have been watching McSame’s erratic response to the Wall Street crisis and they are not impressed.
My favorite moment here is while Donna Brazile mocks McSame’s newly-found passion for regulation after decades of being the biggest deregulator around — George Will nods approvingly. And that’s after Will ripped McSame a new one for saying he’d fire Chris Cox.
When you’ve lost George Will and Cokie Roberts, you’re pretty much screwed.

Apparently, McCain still has Toupee Sam, who appeared critical of the Obama camp for claiming that McCain lied.
Enh. He also basically said McSame was senile.
The tinfoil paranoid in me says that handing anyone the Presidency less than 6 months after signing a $700 billion blank check is not . a . favor.
Perhaps at this juncture the republicans are merely lining up a fall guy.
I dunno, Cokie seemed to be carrying McCains water as much as possible in the face of disastrous utterings from him. Will clearly sounded exasperated.
Yeah, it’s probably unfair to accuse someone so steeped in dementia of lying, lots worse to make them president.
As long as Cokie is “feeling a sense of security,” I am vouchsafed. Goddess above, George Will is a twit. No, I take that back — he’s a twit’s twit.
Oh, and hurray for Donna Brazile’s strong advocacy of the Democratic position on anything (not). They should all really be equipped with tiny porcelain teacups, snuffboxes, and tiny lapdogs for each taping. Their relevance to anything that’s actually happening in the world is approximately nil.
True, but you know it was bad because normally she’d be saying how bad this is for Democrats.
Rachel Maddow’s summation of McCain’s flailing during the past week is the best I’ve seen.
McCane is senile…or something. I’m waiting for him to grab Sarah’s ass on the campaign trail.
Which one? I’ve been gone all week.
There should be a mushroom cloud superimposed over each head on that show at all times… with sounds of bombs exploding and people screaming in agony in the background. Toss in images of tent cities and folks telling the cashier at the grocery store to take back the milk… or walking out of the hospital without a prescription.
Only then would the absurdity of their superficial conversations begin to make sense.
I’ve been wondering if McCain might be a tad resentful of the attention Palin has been receiving, contrasted with the tepid response he is still getting, crowds wandering away when he begins to speak, etc.. Probably just my imagination
I would love to see a new Dr. Kirk post. McShame continues to spew innanity. His emotional and irrational outbursts can and should be compiled and displayed as a whole for the world to see the depth of his incompetence.
The campaign is keeping McCain heavily sedated to prevent that. They desparately need to stop McCain from being McCain.
The operative term is “Senile Dementia” boys and girls.
And the question du jour is “Are we going to war with Spain or are we not?”
Don’t worry he won’t remember tomorrow what happens today
McCain will be wired during the debates so that his campaign can ‘talk’ to him and for him. It would be nice if someone could steal the signals and release the transcript.
Team mcCain. Old guy with a dog that won’t hunt.
Wehat sedatives are they pumping into him?
Her Friday show had a “summary” of McCain’s bad week…. one after another…. it should be put into a commercial….
Assuming there’s more than just snark in your comment, how do mood stabilizing drugs interact with nascent dementia?
Look they gave taxpayers %300 buck so now it oayback we give the an opening $700 billion so
The bubble…$450 trillion in credit swaps!
$62 Trillion in DEFAULT credit swaps
$700 billion 1/4 of government budget flushed down the Wall Street toilet
It is a finger in the dike
It is called feel good economics…make the investors think itis bailing them out…The reality it is cash strapping the Federal governments next administration…in a Default Credit Swap for our money to Wall street who needs it worse than we. It not our economy stupid it is their economy and it don’t trickle down to us.
There is enough “Middle class” with 401K and pension investments that will be fooled into supporting this idiot based legislation.
Two economies barter trade and money. Any poor people caught with money will be incarcerated.
But the Ds will be too dumb to hack him.
Must have been Friday night. Here is where I saw it. Scroll down a bit to “John McCain: week in review.”
It should also be available at the MSNBC site. In addition to the summary, during the segment she speaks with Ana Marie Cox, who has been covering the McCain campaign.
How about causing only a squeal to come thru the earpiece
Maybe we will all see how during the debate this week.
Here’s my guess. You calm a fool.
I have a feeling with the evident McCain cognitive issues he could blow the ear weenie thing with someone talking to him…. should be on the lookout for weird phrases and stupid answers that just don’t make sense …..
Or we can find the frequency and over broadcast on that wave band ….. teehee..
Dr. Murphy is usually up on Sunday nights.
“The question of age is back on the table”
McCrazy definitely shows signs of dementia.
Do you more weird phrases and stupid answers than usual? If so, we wouldn’t understand a word he said.
I need to check with Elmore but usually when they have a wireless mics and reporting they have to get clearance with government agencies to use that broadcast band… the Feds have been selling off a lot of these frequencies and hurting specific broadcasting markets because there are so few frequencies……
Panel of pompous has-beens up on CNN: Kissinger, Christopher, Albright, Powell. Doesn’t everyone know that the State Dep is a vestigal organ and all the power’s at DOD? The solution to every U.S. problem is to bomb it.
OT, but — Spanish TV (Univision) apparently is saying that part of the plan is to confiscate $250 from every savings and checking account to help pay for the bailout. Has anyone heard anything which would confirm or discredit this?
No doubt in my mind.
Oh, I forgot to put Baker on the list.
Um, but how old are you? We need to know if you’re too old for us to trust your opinion.
Just kidding. Don’t get mad at me.
Quick! Withdraw all your money!
Somehow I don’t think taking $250 per account will work. Indeed, it will cause a run at every bank!
Which makes his choice of Palin even more frightening. The idea of Sarah and Todd running things should scare even Republics.
Perfectly good question. Ok. I’m 63. But I have a senile mother. And I’ve evaluated many folks for intellectual functioning.
Teasing is always welcome! And everything should be questioned these days!
I think that very few people really understand the gaffs that McInsane has made, and thus misunderestimate the magnitude of the problem
is that just banks or does this include credit unions?
I do think that something is terribly wrong. He just appears lost.
The irrelevance of the “Talking heads” matches the irrelevance and disconect of the political dialogue.
Don’t pose the question that has no answer if you want to appear smart. No debate on relevant issues allowed. Keep our heads in the sands of ignorance. Do not watch TV it is garbage.
Essentially what Paulson is handing Congress is a $700 trillion cashiers check payable to the banks and credit industry that helped create, along with the Bush Administration, this utter financial meltdown. It’s a perfect McCain 100% “final solution”…not a smidgen of regulation innit! And there are all sorts of clauses that protect anyone that absconds with any of this bailout wealth from any prosecution…it indemnifies both gov’t officials and speculators from criminal or civil prosecution.
What’s to prevent these corporations from immediately inflating the value of these assets once the funds are allocated, and then passing them off to the PUBLIC at above their actual pre-bailout market value. Then the values would once again DEFLATE, leaving the public holding a bunch of properties that must be sold at below the value expended. It could end up costing the public vastly more than they actually “invested”.
Congress needs to do this from the bottom up…offering financial support to the homeowners (particularly those whose primary residence faces foreclosure) and those on Main Street whose properties are at risk. But at the speculators also should not receive any bargains…people should not be allowed to get anything more than original investment return on additional properties and those should be shifted to new renters or owners at fair market value.
And the huge financial enterprises should be lucky to get out of this with their skins. Moneys invested by pension groups, as 401Ks, IRA’s, etc should be protected…but the corporate administrators should be compelled to stay on at deeply reduced salaries and lose many of their benefits for a “job poorly done”. They can quit, but be forbidden to work for any firm that has been bailed out or receives ANY government contract or largesse.
What is really needed is a bottom up “bail-out”
We share an age, at least for another month. Both parents deceased, Dad of senility at 89, Mom of heart disease at 86. Frankly, the way the world’s going, I’d prefer not to live that long.
Sounds like a great stimulous package to me
I hope Kirk does analyze this. TheraP should be invited to comment as well.
Personally, I think the debates would be more interesting if McCain is outfitted with a flank strap immediately prior. Something similar to what is used on bucking broncs and bulls in rodeos but preferably less comfortable.
Or perhaps there could be interference on that FM channel from a local “gangsta rap” station.
John NcCain was chair of the Commerce Committee that did the deed. ie conglomerate the media under the neocons like Clear Channel.
McCain owns …. I don’t know for sure but anywhere from 8-12 homes…
Obama” have a mortgage on one home that that the bank owns and he is paying for…
McCain owns 13 cars
Obama’s own one car…. a hybrid…
Who is the Elitist?
I hope John McCain was wearing an astronaut diaper if he watched the video today.
I might just remove all my cash the day after the election…if McCain is elected.
OMG, Baker thinks U.S. should lead on climate change.
Well, I guess in a way we are, if you read that sentence as: leading the climate to change.
Serial deception and lying in old age gets a lot harder to keep straight.
.
I can not overstate the fear that grips me when that thought crosses my mind. There is no way that pig with lipstick can be allowed anywhere near the people’s house.
I’ve developed all kinds of maladies simply from drinking tap water. Some days I’m comatose, some days high as a kite and yet other days, like McNuts, I wanna off somebody. T2T2D = Toilet to Tap in Two Days. So long cruel world!
Robin Williams as Reagan giving a press conference in a 1980s episode of SNL. In mid-sentence his earpiece starts picking up a classic rock station, “It’s an all Doors weekend… Hello, I love you won’t you tell me your name-”
Yup.
Team Failin: Old guy in a fog – with a dog that won’t hunt.
New post
There’s no way he can be “elected” – he has to steal this!
So yes, if he steals an election, withdraw your money!
Ya. Baker wants to heat it up with big oil carbon. That is their version of climate change.
McShame is worried about anyone who questions the lies as being disrespectful who is the elitest
I thought Donna Brazile was holding back to much. Why not bring up Keating 5?!?
Thanks for the memories…lol!
Cokie looks sad. I feel just awful for her.
Bless Cokie’s heart…!
She has such a difficult task that continues to cost her credibility and saps her dignity. That tree limb is cracking and instead of getting off the limb or moving inwards to the tree. She climbs out farther on the limb and causes more stress on the limb.
Question for Cokie,
Is their a Gov’t bailout waiting to replenish your credibility you invest so risky in the McCain campaign? A risk so high that you will lose all credibility you have?
Because, The Gov’t has no right to tap Americans to bailout you lost credibility with Americans
I’m wondering if some of these pundits are checking their stock investments and realize that they, too, have swallowed the Kool-Aid?
Teddy a couple of flights upstairs on Unpatriotic managements.
No idea. My wife relayed the item to me.
Punctuation troll here. There is not need for a hypen in ‘newly-found passion.’ Adverbs are not adjectives, and therefore cannot be compound adjectives. It’s all the rage, I know, but it’s incorrect. Please pass this on…
