It must be because the papers are issued by the legislature, not a judge. The judges I know get upset when someone ignores their paperwork. Their normal reaction around here is to resend it attached to a sheriff.

IF, and I really mean if, Obama gets in, as leader of the Democratic Party a serious housecleaning is called for, something which I think is beyond him. We’ll know which way the party is going if there are absolutely no investigations into the politicization of DoJ and other agencies followed by mass resignations of incompetent moles to make way for truly qualified applicants (NOTE: Regents College/Law School, Liberty College don’t make the cut, sorry).

I’m not going to hold my breath for this to happen. The party is moribund and as it flounders around and allows these criminals to go home to hone their weapons, revisionist works will come out exonerating this present cabal. Meanwhile, the economy will go from bad to worse, oru children will continue to die in criminal and unnecessary wars and we will become completely irrelevant on the world stage.

As unimpressed as I was with Todd, Greta made him seem a wholly sympathetic figure. Defying the subpoena — on the grounds he doesn’t believe in it AND that he suddenly finds himself traveling a whole lot and unable to schedule a time to be deposed — has made me turn on him, though.

Who does he think he is? Josh Bolten? Karl Rove? Harriet Miers?

I was over looking at that diary. I’d also like to know who authorized these payments? This is what I do at work but it’s on a much smaller scale (County Govt.). Since counties have a much tighter budget, there is never reimbursement for spouse…never. Of course no one cares how many stay in a hotel room but as far as airfare, that charge would not even be submitted. So, the question is..is this standard operating procedure in Alaskan govt.? The state pays travel expenses for spouse and children? Or did someone sign for that payment above and beyond what state laws say can be paid?

What’s that line about history repeating itself: the first time as tragedy, the second time as comedy.

I travel a lot for my job and have to submit the expenses using the Federal GSA guidelines for reimbursement…. Elmore (my boyfriend) travels around 150K per year and is reimbursed for his expenses and/or arranged by the travel service….. we live with these guidelines…..

Many times I travel to where he is doing a show…. Vegas or San Diego and stay with him ….. I have to pay for my own travel expenses, meals and anything else….. The only thing I don’t pay for is the hotel which is already there for Elmore…..

That is the new wrinkle with the client I am working with….. we have to pre-submit the expected amount for approval before we can book the travel…… nothing like trying to get approval for a moving target ….. if you don’t jump on some airfares and hotels then the rates can skyrocket….

Exactly. So are the state rules governing travel reimbursement different for governors (which is possible) or did Sarah just submit them w/o specific regs saying they were a legitimate expense. I have scoured County Law looking for justification to either pay or deny claims. But Sarah, as we’ve seen, isn’t guided by laws. I’m going to do some googling.

6. Lies about his secret love for lobbyists of dictators and the thieves on Wall Street as evidenced by the presence of his buddies Charlie Black and Phil “Enron ripoff of the century” Gramm.

7. Loves deregulation. No rules for Big Money!

8. Is a flipping #######.

9. has no ideas, just gets in the way of other people’s ideas so they can’t accomplish anything either.

2. Religion. Sarah, you know, is a female — she can’t possibly be left alone! She needs supervision!

Does anyone wonder about their children? Yes, yes, they have grandparents, but THEY are the PARENTS (allegedly). Once in awhile is OK, but every clip I see of Sarah, there Todd is.
