During Sarah Palin’s second foot massage with Sean Hannity last night, there was this exchange:
PALIN: Those things that I add to the ticket, certainly our opponents are going to ignore all that and they’re going to send their opposition researchers up to Alaska. They’ve got dozens of them up there now.
HANNITY: They called it a mini-army in "The Wall Street Journal."
PALIN: Yes, oh, I —
HANNITY: Did you meet any of them? You were just up there? Did you see any of them?
PALIN: Didn’t see them but I hear that they’re all over the place and I’m just hoping that they’re going spend a lot of money in our local communities and bolster the economy up there.
"Not a single person from DC or Chicago has traveled to Alaska to do research," he [Mike Gehrke, the DNC's research chief] writes. Not a single Obama staffer, not a DNC staffer, not a hired gun, he says.
For someone who’s supposedly a devout Christian, Palin seems to have a lot of contempt for the Ninth Commandment.

Will the revolution be broadcast?
That lipstick makes her lie
She’s confusing reporters with opposition researchers. Moron with lipstick.
Digg it.
meanwhile Obama bringing down the house in Coral Gables, FL on women’s issues!
Protestors at Obama rally and he is handling it well. Not trying to shut them up.
Did the protestors leave on their own?
Buncha black folks interrupting Obama with “KKK endorses Obama” signs and the like in FL.
No one opened a can of whoop ass on their paid asses.
Oh yeah, McCain/Palin = liars
They just bounced some folks from the rally. Obama very poised.
sorry o/t BT!!!
but we are talking about women’s votes, sort of.
What’s with the KKK references on the protestors’ placards? Whatever is is brings a tear to my eyes…
He is cool as a cucumber. Very presidential.
yeah, I didn’t think so. LOL the other folks there didn’t like it LOL.
It’s funny, because they all sat down, and now they are listening…
It looks like those protestors might be paid operatives. Just sayin’. It IS Florida after all…
abortion
They? I thought it was only John Fund who called it that in an article that he wrote that the Wall Street Journal published. Since when does One add up to they?
Oh, I thought they sat down…oops…I wonder who paid them to bring those signs in…KKKarl?
no, they left
Some left walking out on their own. some guards present but no manhandling. sorry I used the word bounced. more like ushered.
I don’t know. I’m sure someone will shed a little light on it. I do know there are a small faction of blacks that don’t think Obama is paying enough attention to ‘black’ issues.
Okay, let’s get back to work!
*
re: Palin’s Lies…oh, gosh golly, holey moley.
Looked like they were escorted out to me. I’m sure it was payback for the treatment McLame got at that car manufacturing facility where the workers wore Obama buttons and started calling Obama’s name as Johnnie Mac was leaving.
Dudes with juray, dread’s, rapper hats, shit like that.
It’s a sure bet if the Palin/McCain ticket loses she’ll spend the rest of her days as Governor seeking retribution against any Alaskans who opposed her Divinely mandated candidacy.
gutter religion. always talking about what great christians they are but seem to fall incredibly short in the christian character department
she’ll run for senator.
I don’t think they were escorted. They left on their own accord. i only saw SS folks near the door as they were leaving.
I thought they all looked fairly young. Yeah, prolly paid to be there.
“Not a single person from DC or Chicago has traveled to Alaska to do research,” he [Mike Gehrke, the DNC’s research chief] writes. Not a single Obama staffer, not a DNC staffer, not a hired gun, he says.
Don’t know that that’s anything to brag about.
just sayin’.
It’s hard to judge by seeing them but I don’t think these cats give a shit one way or the other. Times is tough and a couple of bucks can buy a lot.
That’s just what I was thinking. Not everyone has the government bailing their asses out after they got filthy rich.
It don’t mean nothing Jayt, ignore the skank.
You’re probably correct.
ding
Agree. I don’t think she necessarily lying here. I think she’s just clueless.
Hahaha…Obama: I think it’s clear McCain is a little panicked at the moment..
That’s gonna piss off McCain…
I love the hefty robust response from the crowd.
she lies.
Probably not, but “The Enquirer” hit the ground running, so they may have just decided that it wasn’t worth sending a team up there. I think it was the wrong decision at the time, but it looks pretty good in retrospect.
very true. times are very rough.
Maybe he’ll be distracted enough to suspend further water-boarding of Carly Fiorina.
No kidding. Either Mike Gehrke is lying or the dems need to get their act together. Jeeze, we’re up against Karl Rove! Do Dems ever learn? Oh, wait . . .
please let it piss him off. Between hitting him on the ‘fundamentals’ thing, the Spain gaffe, etc. he has been teetering on the edge. Someone needs to nudge him over
that was for Raven @ 32
Yes, and often. Which is why we should only calling it “lying” when it’s 100% clear that that’s what she’s doing. We’ve already got the Bridge to Nowhere, her full co-operation with Troopergate, and earmarks. There’s no reason to go out on a limb when it’s only 95% certain that she’s lying (and I think it’s less than 95% here–I don’t think she knows the difference between the media and Democrats). Just stick with the 100% lies.
BTW, McCain was not wearing a flag pin again today…hmmm…is he forgetting to put it on????
*repressing the urge to type something mod-able*
I still can’t believe that the McCain campaign is getting away with obstruction of justice in Troopergate.
What do they need oppo research for when Palin said just yesterday that people can ask her anything? “You can even play ‘Stump the candidate’ if you want? At which time she quickly exited the stage.
maybe one of us ‘fundamentals’ should ask?
Morning, BT
Morning, pups (bom dia, wobbs).
FunnyD
We don’t have to send in oppo research. The people who have lived in Alaska all along are giving us everything we need. There is alos much of what we need published in the Alaska newspapers. Did you see ET telling us this week that his daughter got a job with the Obama campaign right away after she wowed them with her knowledge and then told them that she grew up in Wasilla?
Isn’t the first debate next week? That should do it.
MSNBC – the Judiciary Committee in Alaska is to convene in about an hour.
Unclear as to whether *any* of the subpoenaed witnesses will show. Apparently, the Alaska Atty General has already said that he will not pursue any penalties for witnesses who ignore the subpoenaes.
bom dia FunnyD
hope all is well with you and yours.
Hmmmmmmm. That’s not a good thing. Failure to do diligent opposition research borders on criminal negligence in a presidential campaign. I’ve generally tought of the DNC and the Obama Campaign as professionals. WTF is wrong with them?
OK gotcha. I thought you were saying generally that SP is clueless. with ya.
I’ve noticed Sarah wearing an Alaska flag pin but not a US flag pin. Has anyone else seen this? Am I just missing the US flag pin?
Oh better get the chips and margaitas ready!!! *sigh* I picked a crappy month to juice fast.
Yeah, that was quite the blizzard of words. What a bullshitter.
Palin said just yesterday that people can ask her anything? “You can even play ‘Stump the candidate’ if you want?
gee, that’s a bold move to make in front of a pre-screened crowd…..
Hey, if it’s good enough for the President’s Minions to _IGNORE_ subpoenas, it’s good enough for the First Dood of the 49th state!
Spit. My neighbors had to listen to me screaming at the teebee for 5 solid minutes about “who does he think he is” while Rachael was covering this.
But maybe it’s just “legislature-issued subpoenas we don’t like” that are ignorable. I still wouldn’t try declining one signed by a judge…but, then, I’m just one of the little fundamentals of the economy and, thus, subject to the law (and the whim of our Dear Leaders).
FunnyD
In any field or profession, it’s important to always be prepared to the best of your ability.
Septemebr 26 – first presidential debate
when is the vp debate?
Refering to the caption pic above, what kind of a-hole ayatollah would have a podium banner that reads “Dobson First”.. not “God First” or “Christianity First” or “America First” but “Dobson First”?????
By the way, the first hoovervilles are appearing around the country:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/LIVING…..index.html
is it me or does John McCain have a ‘vacant’ look in his eyes at times?
Didn’t see that, but glad to hear it. Still, always be prepared.
AYFKM????!!1!!!!!
sigh. I really wanted to stay and hang with all y’all, but dunno if my blood pressure will take it–esp since my desk is in a big “bullpen” and I can’t yell to blow off steam…
FunnyD
Right back atcha, wobbs.
The newest supporter of Palin/McCain is a “PUMA” and a Bilderberger. This person, Madame Countessa Baroness Lady de Rosthschild, was formerly, Lynn Forester. But Forester was a multi-millionaire who met the multi-billionaire, Evelyn Rothschild. Of course, the Rothschild’s wealth allows them to control much of the world.
But Forester, I mean Lady Rothschild., thinks Obama is an elitist who rednecks will not like. Lynn is worried about bitter rednecks!
But it gets better. Lady R. (actually Lady Rothschild #3) was introduced to Evelyn by Henry Kissinger at the Bilderberger Conference. Is the New World Order trying to take over the Democratic Party?
I don’t think they needed to send people. As soon as McC picked her all this stuff started to tumble out. We may not know it all yet but it apparently is enough that people are getting really turned off by her. Suits me.
window to his soul. Kind of like what shrub should’ve seen when he looked into Vlad’s eyes
Were you able to catch that clip? She was completely begging the question. The prescreened person was asking for any specifics to shore up the argument she’s “ready” in the foreign policy dept. Kind of a “help us help you” question. that was the answer.
heh. CNBC stooge on my teevee just reluctantly admitted that a Trillion Dollars *is* a lot of money.
And then goes on to point out that the taxpayers may end up *making* money on all of this.
uh-huh.
*Which* taxpayers, you pretty little liar?
especially when someone HAS just asked you for specifics.
Baby Jeebus on a raft.
FunnyD
FABULOUS! Thank her for me/us!
I think she’s been wearing the blue star pin.
“I think its pretty clear that John McCain is kinda paniced right now”….
lovely understatement if ever there were one.
I just heard the opposite on MSNBC. the ‘expert’ said no money to be made on this
Didn’t notice. Too busy staring at the age hump on his back.
I owe ya a beverage, dosido!
FunnyD
This does demonstrate quite clearly that Palin/McCain = more of the same.
What the military calls: “situational awareness.”
Wasn’t the 1:00 EST slot on MSNBC normally manned by Mrs. Greenspan?
Noron steppin’ in again today.
Poor Mrs. Greenspan must be suffering from a sever case of “Greenspan”. Or something.
Already got a thank you from Planned Parenthood. I think it’s a good day – I like causing mischief.
*spew*
If you noticed what I used as an example as to why they don’t need oppo research you should have noticed that I was being cynical or sarcastic.
lol. pepsi, no coke.
I liked the way you said it better. :]
People don’t pay enough attention to the world wide influence these people have. Kissinger is the Godfather. The New World Order group and theory is real. In the Nixon library, you can read about how Kissinger had to “approve” Nixon…That is why the support of the puppet regime Palin/McCain is so very dangerous. There is also speculation that Obama skipped over to meet with the Bildebergers when they had their meeting while he was on his primary spin. You don’t get elected in this country without their ok. Considering that Kissinger ultimately okay’d Nixon, it makes you wonder what happened to the Kennedys.
If the shoe were on the other foot, you can bet your ass that Karl Rove would have an army of oppo researchers in Alaska.
Why, in this wired and connected world is it necessary to “send an army of oppo research” folks to Alaska?
Methinks there are plenty of folks on the ground in Anchorage and Wasilla and places that are not real big fans of Sarah da Governor who have done research and are willing to share the fruits of their labor. And if it can’t be shared on the net through scanning into PDF files or Word documents, there’s a couple or three organizations known as FedEx, UPS, or USPS that will, for a fee, deliver it overnight from Alaska to most anywhere in the US.
And oh yeah, fax machines are available up there as well.
that was an awesome post from TBogg. I need to go check my email and see if we got one yet. I really considered putting it under my Palin baby generator name.
oooh. mischief? Share?
FunnyD
Just so you know, that news was announced like on Tuesday.
re: ignoring subpoenas.
This is exactly what I was thinking would happen, that hundreds of semi ordinary folks like say Roger Clemmons will think they too can blow off subpoenas. Nothing happens! I think maybe Britney pulled a no show too.
Jane was right on at the start. This woman is supremely dangerous. She has absolutely no sense of obligation to the facts. Other politicians prevaricate and spin; she lies right out in your face, and when she is confronted with the lie, just says it again. Need I recall the last politician who made his reputation by the ‘big lie?’ She is supremely dangerous.
Go back and read TBogg. What a great thread. Everyone giving money to Planned Parenthood in Palin’s name. Too funny.
Yes, but Frank’s fleshing it (the significance) out a bit….just sayin’.
are they the ones who ask “why does Senator McCain want to protect sexual predators? why doesn’t McCain protect kids?” that one?
No one can be both a devout Christian and a prominent member of the Republic Party.
Teehee. Next time dump a pound of bricks on my head.
My point exactly. From what we have seen of Palin’s behavior so far, there have got to be a lot of very angry people who have just been waiting for the opportunity now presenting itself. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if things start breaking out pretty quickly on several new fronts of evidence against her. She is just so careless about who she hurts and how obvious she is about it that the evidence must be pouring into Obama headquarters as if a fireplug has just been opened.
Oh, thanks!
My friend calls
Sharia PlanSarah Palin “the 8 million dollar woman” because of how much $$$ she’s loosened up FOR DEMS/OBAMA. Glad she’s keeping up the good fundraising!FunnyD
I so agree with this assessment.
Very pathologically aggressive and anti-social behavior. Dangerous.
I wonder what plethora of lies the McCain campign will be flinging out today
No, but they can lie about it.
Honestly, it isn’t about the people, it is about the powers that be in this world that control us. They call the shots. That is what has to change. That is what real change should mean. The Obama movement of getting regular people to donate and give them a voice, is the beginning of shedding that control and restoring it to the People. Whether the powers that be allow that to happen without resistance….hmmm…that remains to be seen and will be recorded by history.
Still, that is the main thing that needs to be changed.
Tony Knowles, who Palin defeated in the gov race, says it isn’t hard to be popular in Alaska when the price of oil doubles and you double the budget for everyone. in the right place at the right time.
BTW my Palin file to date
1. Troopergate/ currently ducking a deposition under oath / in turn 7 of her aides cancelled their depositions, her husband Todd did as well, the state GOP is now trying to torpedo the investigation it helped start
2. Replaced the guy she fired in troopergate with someone with a sexual harassment complaint who lasted 10 days
3. Todd’s Alaska Independence Party connections, and her own participation
4. Used a state site to promote mining interests over clean water.
5. Bridge to nowhere: being for it before she was against it
6. For earmarks before she was against them
7. Pumping money into a bankrupt Alaska dairy and then selling it off to cronies
8. Firing employees as mayor over loyalty issues
9. Asserting the right to ban books from the library and attempts to fire the librarian
10. Involved in the 527 for Ted Stevens
11. Her daughter’s pregnancy
12. Her own still dubious pregnancy/flying 3000 miles after her water broke
13. Her expensive ($25 million) screwup with building a rec center in Wasilla as mayor on land the city did not have clear title to
14. Anti-choice
15. Anti-gay marriage
16. Pro-abstinence only (Tell that one to Bristol)
17. Pro-gun
18. Anti-environment: Spent $400,000 in 2007 to promote the aerial hunting of wolves and bears. Has fought designating polar bears as endangered due to diminishing sea ice from which they hunt.
19. Pro-drilling
20. Global warming denier
21. Creationist/wants it taught in schools
22. Thought the Pledge of Allegiance dates to the founding of the country (it was penned in 1892 and “under God” was added in 1954)
23. Thinks the End Times will occur in her lifetime
24. Attends a church with an anti-Semitic, anti-Islamic pastor
25. Charged the state nearly $17,000 in per diem travel expenses when she was living at home
26. Implied she sold the state plane on ebay but it, in fact, failed to sell there, and later elsewhere was sold at a loss
27. Charged the state to fly her daughter Willow to Juneau to tour the church where they worshipped when they were in town; charged the state for a $707 hotel room in New York for 3 days for daughter Bristol; charged the state for the family to watch the beginning of the Iditarod dog sled race and the Iron Dog snowmobile race which husband Todd won; in all her husband racked up $19,000 in state paid travel expenses, and her children Piper, 7, nearly $11,000, Willow, 14, around $6,000 and Bristol, 17, about $3,400
28. While mayor, Wasilla was the only city in Alaska which billed ($300-$1,200) rape victims and their insurance companies for rape kits and forensic examinations
29. Named Deborah Richter her campaign manager for governor to head a division which distributes dividends of Alaska’s oil royalties to its citizens. Richter had only one year of college and was a business partner of Palin in a land investment. Palin fired one of her aides John Bitney for having an affair with Richter during her (Richter’s) divorce
30. Thinks that Saddam Hussein worked with al Qaeda to attack America on 9/11
31. Favors Georgia’s admittance to NATO and military action against Russia if it crosses Georgia’s frontiers again
32. Appointed Franci Havemeister as Alaska’s Director of Agriculture whose primary qualifications were that she was a high school classmate of Palin’s and had had a childhood love of cows
What significance? A woman, with more money than most of the world, married to a Rothschild, makes a ludicrous statement.
I don’t have a link but know that I also read somewhere on Tuesday that she held a fund raiser for McCain, so it’s only folks like TradMed grasping at a straw who perceive this “endorsement” as at all newsworthy.
That’s just like John meeting Cindy.
w00t: Today’s Gallup daily: Obama 49, McCain 44. Ten point swing since McCain high point on Sept 7.
Today’s lie…It’s all Obama’s advisors fault….
Now, knowing that black is white and white is black in their Orwellian world…we already KNOW that it is Phil Gramm’s fault and the Republican Congress during the 90’s; as well as Clinton’s fault too.
Great. Lets have an on the ground point person to collect and verify any information that comes out. Should be an easy job.
I’d like to see a “Give the money back, Sarah” campaign.
No one can be both a devout Christian and a
prominentmember of the Republic Party.Oh – and stop making sense please.
It just hurts their tiny little heads.
umm, make that “minds”. Tiny little “minds”.
heh.
If Gallup says that it’s likely true since they favor Rs. As the saying goes, I think the bloom is off the rose.
Which could be expanded to: “Hey, all you creeps! Give ALL the money back.
Now, we need an ‘or else’.
The significance is that she is part of the “powers that be”…they control what happens to a great extent in the leadership of our country…she has endorsed Palin/McCain…that is significant. They will try to make it go that way…they are not “Democratic” or “Republican”, they are a group who meet every year and decide how the world will be “operated”…they control the money in the world. They are major leaders of every country in the world. They are a cabal of insiders…the ultimate cocktail weanie club…much bigger than the politics of “our” country….
Note, that Palin said…”Iran is bigger than politics”…that is coaching right out of their playbook.
This is not a conspiracy theory. Their existence is a blatant fact and easily researched.
The international oligarhs.
Perhaps it is time to put them ALL in their ‘proper’ place.
Hmm, where WOULD such a ‘place’ be?
Hades.
Missing a “c” in “oligarchs”.
You are not just ‘warm’, LS, you are ‘hot’!
It’s not just oil. It is real estate, food, diamonds, gold, silver, platinum, coffee, sugar, shipping, ground transport,…etc.
agree. we are a subsidiary of Big Oil and the people who own those types of global companies.
Did the protesters bring those signs with them?
Or did they make them up once they were inside?
Just asking.
Almost ALL things under the sun.
They control the “commodities”…that is why they are so freaked over the housing scandal, because it is based on valueless entities…that is why they forced the government to get rid of the valueless paper…and make the “people” pay for it.
I even heard Bernie Sanders say that…huh?
And there was a bit from financial “reporters” saying it is the fault of low income people for taking those crappy loans that rich people could sell to other rich people and make money. Even Joe Scar couldn’t swallow that one.
Good list, Hugh!
Any pups hear me on Lionel this morning?
ET!!!
Sorry, didn’t hear your interview. I’m sure you were great…again.
Looking forward to your further analysis of the whole Palin Poop Pile Parade.
FunnyD
They control the Federal Reserve and all of the world banks….that is what this crisis is all about. They got caught with their pants down, and they are pissed, and they will make “us” pay. It is a global issue of control of the global economy.
How did it go?????
Was he nice?
What did you think?
Here’s a link to the protesters web site
http://www.michaeldefeatssatan.com/
Lindsay has a new post up at Silo for our perusal.
wow Raven
That is some tom foolery right there.
bat shit crazy is more like it
It went well. They want me back, and they want Shannyn Moore on too.
Yea and it doesn’t really tell us who is behind it.
hmmm dud seems to have issues with women. /s
here’s their youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQf4C4OhYhM
of course he has an issue with the most powerful black woman in the world. jealousy much?
I think this extends wayyyyy beyond jealousy.
I agree.
New Marcy post
And one stumped her…with a softball question
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: “Governor Palin, there has been quite a bit of
discussion about your perceived lack of foreign policy experience. And I
want to give you your chance. If you could please respond to that criticism and give us specific skills that you think you have to bring to the White House to rebut that or mitigate that concern.
PALIN: “Well, I think because I’m a Washington outsider that opponents are
going to be looking for a whole lot of things that they can criticize and they can kind of try to beat the candidates here, who chose me as his partner, to kind of tear down the ticket. But as for foreign policy, you
know, I think that I am prepared and I know that on January 20th, if we are so blessed as to be sworn into office as your president and vice president, certainly we’ll be ready. I’ll be ready. I have that confidence. I have that readiness.”
Maybe she doesn’t know what “specific skills” are? If an interviewer asked someone this question of a job applicant…and they gave the answer above…the interview would be over.
What a joke, not only were the questions from Hannity softballs, they were tossed under-handed and high lob…a first year political student at a good college knows more than Palin….McCain showed lack of judgement, (again) when choosing Palin…he had had more missteps than a drunk on Saturday night…which is a national past time in Alaska , much like baseball here in the lower 48
Do you mean NO one’s Home. Well, yes.
You’re not real bright, are you?
lmao….me not bright? You put up a quote to support your unfounded statements, and it only proves my point, not yours. Nowhere in that qoute does SARAH PALIN even mention the name of Barak Obama. Hannity did, she did not.
And Hannity is essentially correct, btw….they are absolutely doing op research for Barak Obama…..regardless if they are on his payroll or not.
