John McCain has an inner battle with demons …just my take a mental health issue. It is heart breaking to see him living up to standards that are impossible. I am sure his family has experienced it too. It is sad but in my mind it would be gentler to not have him in the place where he can do more damage to himself and others, Biden has it right.

What a wonderful blog (”Ranger Against War”)…he reminds me of a couple a “Sneaky Petes” I met early on in ‘66-67…you and Raven and a couple other FDL vets have led me ta get active again (first time in 35 years) with the vets thing. I’m not sure I got the chops ta handle it anymore but it’s an obligation of citizenship and I can’t run from my own history.

Also I agree with dear Norske that as far as the public eye goes, whatever horror happened to JSM once captured deserves deference, deserves to have a curtain of decency/privacy drawn around it. To a (very very generous) point, that is. If as is being suggested there turns out to be evidence that acts were done that caused damage to the US that went far beyond what is usual in these cases, then that in my opinion becomes information which is relevant to the election. So I hope a few honest people are checking this out now, and hope for everyone’s sake it turns out not to be true. Both sides smell, anyway.

Whatever happens with this campaign, I believe McCain will regret waging it.

That said, anybody have thoughts about what can be done re: a laptop spacebar that has suddenly started working only intermittently. It’s not sticking.

That seems clear to me. The video comments of the veteran ewpresentative show a kind of denial of his voting record.
That ability to block out and deny is not an attribute for presidential decision makers.
