The worst part is, it looks like the bastards are gonna get away with it.

This investigation looks like toast. Maybe next year they will revisit it, but most likely just drop it if she isn’t the governor any more…

Nice post. The Rethugs really picked a winger for VP.

BTW, a small typo in your last graf (see below).

It might be no wonder that an AIP follower like Todd Palin doesn’t believe he has TO respond to official subpoenas

Life is interesting

Yes, it is.

Is the Bay area still good for wein-making? I’d guess there’s lots of grape skins and not many skinheads there. I had a friend who lived there bak in the 60s. He did a lot of wild things, sacrificed a few years of his life I’d guess, but lived to tell the tale. Finally he went off to Denver to study with a great master of Buddhism. It really shaped his life. Gary went from that to other things and now he’s in NC working on IT for the government. Network management, I guess you’d call it. But, he’s still fond of his memories from that time.

It makes me sad to think of such gentle people and now all this crazy talk about skinheads, John Birchers, secessionists and fighting. All the time fighting. It’s not normal. It’s tragic. We have so many other more important things to do.

Things I’ve heard on tv the past 2 days.

McSame & McPalin campaigning together means they are covering half as much ground as Obama/Biden.

Voters look at how dishonest campaigns are run and campaign ads are and feel that is an example of how that candiate would run the country.

McSame’s loosing women voters. With the high prices of groceries, rising prices of taking kids to doctors or purchasing prescriptions, paying the heat and electric bills, high insurance rates and $80. to fill up a tank of gas, jobs/good jobs hard to find, women feel the effect of these price hikes the most.

McSame’s been in congress about 30 years he holds some responsilibility for the mess we are in today.

I feel like McSame has been thrown under the rug by reporters that usualy toot their horn for the GOP. What’s going on?

New question for Katie’s quiver:

“So, Governor Palin - while you and your husband are sitting out the investigation into corruption in your office… Oh, nice nails! Where do you go for those?”

We’ll see . . . there IS hope that Feingold and others are gonna try and stop this Executive Presidency stuff . . . I’ll believe, like you, when I see it. *G*

After all, “sovereign citizenship” — fancy words for “I’m exempt from your laws” (based on the notion that the government was “illegitimate”) — was a staple of the Patriots, too.

that sure is crazy, crazy talk, when, clearly, all major institutional structures are demonstrating their legitimacy every day …

we have such legitimate Presidential elections, as seen in 2000 and 2004.

The will of the people is expressed in the ballot box, and our Leaders turn it into policies, as seen in the 2006 Congressional elections.

We have such a legitimate 4th estate, acting as a check on Govt excesses!

We have such a legitimate Opposition Party - one wrong move and the Democrats are all over it with their relentless Investigations …

our Justice Dept is very legitimate, just ask don siegelman or the fired US Attorneys.

The FBI of course is synonymous with Legitimacy, they finally got their man on the Anthrax case, Congressional Hearings to the contrary notwhithstanding. The Postal Service sorting machines weaponized it, who’da thunk it?

The Titans of Finance, they legitimately earn their seven and eight digit annual compensation - and they are zealously watched by legitimate Government Regulatory Agencies.

And of course the Dollar is legitimately the worlds reserve currency, because they know the Fed would never inflate the money supply to pay for imperial wars as other less scrupulous, less legitimate rulers have done throughout history.

My apoligies to Mr. Neiwert, great article.

I KNOW a few folks in Idaho, near where the KKK and Aryan’s were held out a decade ago . . . or more. And they paint grim pics of their presence, and glowing pride that the bastids were moved out and on. *G*

The key Q is, where are they now?

The key A, is, everywhere. They are everywhere, as they always have been.

And that’s why one has to fight the good fight, every day. Every moment.

Everywhere. Or they leech in and start to rot solid foundations.

It’s how they do it. History has milleneum’s of examples of the same.

Harumph.
