All we can talk about is Sarah Palin. All the press can talk about is Sarah Palin. ABC had all their competition breathlessly awaiting each new excerpt as the teasers were rolled out in advance of the full airing of the interview with Charlie Gibson.
We Google madly, we drive up the traffic volume of Alaska Bloggers looking for each new nugget in the seemingly endless number of gaffs and scandalettes that make up the fabric of Ms. Palin’s life. So much time , energy and syllables spent speculating about the failures of the McCain vetting process not to catch all these problems. How did they not know she was so wacko?
Uh, folks, maybe they did know? Maybe not each little detail and nugget, but what if they did know that she would be, ahem "colorful" [why, yes, by colorful I do mean wacky and completely out of the mainstream] and controversial. And maybe that is exactly why the campaign picked her.
Please recall the WONDERFUL position almost ANY Democratic candidate could look forward to this year. Most of America hates Bush/Cheney and the reason America is even more fed up with Congress, is because of Congress’s repeated and appalling failures to either stand up to the Bush cabal [the never ending Rubber Stamp problem] or to hold the Administration accountable in the face of obvious and repeated violation of both substantive and procedural law.[When is somebody going to enforce that subpoena on Harriet Meyers?]
When we are wasting our time fulminating over Sarah Palin, what are we missing the opportunity to talk about?
Well:
- We are not talking about the lying to the American people, the UN and especially to Congress to defraud Congress into voting for the AUMF. Lies about both why the AUMF was even necessary and the way in which it would be used if passed.
- We are not talking about Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, or the ghost prisons where the US is hiding prisoners who have been "disappeared".
- We are not talking about how the Bush Administration took the budget surplus it inherited from the Clinton Administration and squandered it into a record deficit.
- We are not talking about the fact that 9/11 happened on Bush’s watch and after he was specifically warned that Al Q wanted to use planes as missiles and derisively dismissed those who tried to get him to focus on this issue saying "it’s OK, you’ve covered your ass."
- We are not talking about the utter failure of Bush’s "faith based initiative" .
- We are not talking about the fact that 7 years after 9/11 we still don’t have a meaningful cargo screening system.
- We are not talking about a crumbling economy, bank failures, or home foreclosure rates that remind folks of the Great Depression.
I could go on and on, or you could just read Hugh’s List.
Most important of all, we are not talking about how after getting pwned by Bush in 2000, McSame sold out virtually every scruple or moral principle he might ever have had and LITERALLY embraced Bush and voted with Bush 90% of the time.
The Republicans came into this electoral cycle with their "brand " in tatters. GOP candidates were afraid to be seen with Bush and didn’t want his endorsement. Hell, many of them were even afraid to go to the GOP convention. There was much gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands about how could the GOP rebrand itself away from being the party of Bush.
Well my darlings, They have managed the impossible. The GOP in one night, one freakin’ night, went from the "Party of Bush" to the "Party of Palin".
This is not only bad news for some skinny guy with a Harvard law degree and a funny name. This is REALLY bad for any Dem candidate on the ticket this year.
Folks, we gotta get our eyes back on the ball. And we have to steer the national dialogue BACK TO STUFF THAT ACTUALLY MATTERS. Why do you think she issued a press release about her pregnant teenager? So she could get into a fight with the media.
Why do you think she is continuing the lie about always opposing the Bridge to Nowhere? To get into a fight with the media.
Why do you think they wanted a candidate with Troopergate, Librariangate, and all the other salacious issues that belong on Jerry Springer? So that we would waste energy and precious time giggling over this stuff instead doing the right thing–specifically tying Bush/Cheney around the neck of each and every GOP candidate, starting with McSame, like the millstone they are and then throwing that GOP candidate overboard to sink under the weight of Bush/Cheney failures.
Going forward, for me, Sarah Palin? Oh yeah, she’s that wacko with the caribou blood obsession, so what? Instead, let’s talk about the price of home heating oil this winter. Let’s talk about how we are going to get out of Iraq. Let’s talk about bank failures. Let’s talk about the fact that Osama’s still out there laughing into his beard at us.
We must take back the GOP from being the Party of Palin, and return it to it’s rightful and genuine branding as the Party of Bush/Cheney.

ITS THE ECONOMY STOOOOOOOOOOOOOPIT
Well, I still am talking about all these things. But if Palin isn’t neutralized, we stand a good chance of losing this election.
we are in a world of hurt
all the gas in E. Tn has been sold
so i gotta stay home and type, ….and clean
LHP!!!
The worms are starting to eat away at Palin.
good thing about her is she OPENS her mouth and NEUTRALIZES her own good self……………….”g”
hi Az!
Digg is open.
Thanks, ratfood!
Dugg!
LHP
that pic is just………..so wrong …eye bleach stat
guess old Shitheel Boooooooooosh, had to OPEN the petroleum reseves
Here’s thege 2 of the thing, Page 2 of the “style” section of the NYTimes had 3/4 page article (the rest was ads) on Levi Jonston (that’s the kid who knocked up Bristol Palin) stupid ring tatoo.
Who the f**k cares? As my grandpa used to say” what has that got to do with the price of eggs?”
Or to update his Dperession Era expression
What has that got to do with -the price of gas
-the difficulty in getting or keeping your mortgage
-the price of bailing out Freddie, Fannie, Bear Stearns, Lehman Bros….etc
I could go on.
I think that we do need to get to the issues and the lies being told are obfuscating the presentation. The debate now is you lied – oh no I didn’t you did – It’s not me that’s lying it’s you – oh yeah well my running mate wears lipstick. Bullshit.
Agree 1000%.
Reprising something said the other day over at the Duncan blog, Palin will fall of her own weight now that the press sees blood in the water, are doing their job (thankfully), and they are reacting to the goooper taunting.
The campaign is about Mcsame and the issues are about us. We are worse off than we were. We are losing ground economically. The war goes on. The strategy to challenge al queda is bankrupt and distended. The economics of life are tilted to the advantage of a dwindling portion of the populace.
we are not talking about anything on looseheadprops list.
Obama campaign has it right.
Give me a break. Voters don’t give a shit about issues. 2004 proved that.
oh hahahahahahahahahahahahahhaa
http://www.236.com/blog/w/mich…..e_8849.php
its WORSE now….foreclosures, food and gas prices etc
Yes, that is precisely where TeamMcCheese wants to be.
With this ticket, feigned outrage and smear is all they have, and they are playing it for all it is worth, and more.
I think we have all hoped that the nomination of Palin provided the magic formula that would put a lasting finish on McCain’s chances in November. That may yet prove to be the case but I agree it is time to make our primary focus the unqualified candidate at the top of the ticket.
Talking about Sarah Palin is like making everyone take off their shoes at the airport while cargo containers pour unchecked into every port.
Hasn’t that been refreshing?
It’s like they are waking up from a hypnotic stupor. I am having amazement moments almost every day.
Before my husband and I take off for the day, I would like to suggest an interesting read at Politico , about what Bill Clinton suggests for Barack Obama. To me, it sounds right on the mark. Let’s see what we can do to support it.
And yet, there’s this guy who got fired as city manager in the town where I grew up, for assailing a guy in a clown suit for lack of a permit on a public street in a town of 20,000. He is now deceased, and is more qualified than Sarah effing Palin. This is not unimportant.
Hum, guess I haven’t figured out this link thing. It is http://www.politico.com/news/s…..13394.html .
What “issues” formed the central theme of Kerry’s message? can you remember? All I can remeber was that cheezy “reporting for duty” thing at the convention.
I think 1992 proved that issus DO matter if you figure out what your issue is, if it’s an issue that resonates with voters, and you have messagee discipline and stick to your damn issue(s).
Palin has retrieved the vote of the American taliban for the rethug party we need to get over it and push the issues.
On the other hand.
I haven’t seen this posted. Very disturbing:

“Folks, we gotta get our eyes back on the ball.”
Repugs needed a distraction from McInsane so they pulled one out and hoped we would be pulled off of message.
LHP is steering us back on message.
Americams have run out of disposable income. Families are pulling equity out of their homes or retirement funds to pay their bills. Their medical, insurances, transportation have eaten into their budgets. They want a change. Repugs have seen the impact of “Change” and coopted it. That is the target now their change means more of the McSame.
the goopers behind mcsame erred in two places on palin: they taunted the press, and they didnt check out what was to be found in her background.
they thought that they could cow the media, but there was, thankfully, still some run in the old press horse and they sent the required folks to alaska.
fortunately, in terms of people and the places to look, Alaska is not that large. I will bet my dinner money that editors at the majors told reporters: go up there and nose around and DONT come back without a story. Now, that there are some snakes under some rocks, they are looking for more.
and, were i still at a major, i would look at today’s rally of 1400 anti-palin people and tell my reporters. talk to them. dig deeper.
She links to it at #23. Thanks for the great post.
THANK YOU!
I’ve been trying to say that for a long time. The Cleti want a president who’ll “Kick ass.”
Nothing else matters to them.
Palin will fall of her weight and some of that will be done by the media.
LHP has it right. Focus on four more years, the phoney change mantra of the goopers, the economy, the war, afghanistan and Mcsame.
OB summed it up in two phrases and a very few words:
Enough!
and
Do they think you are stupid?
Thanx.
Good article.
I especially agree with they point about using humor rather than outrage to shiv your opponent.
This too.
I don’t think that article is far off. In fact the other day I said to someone that I thought Sarah Palin was Dick Cheny in drag.
I then sweetly asked if anyone had ever seen them both in a room together. (snark)
gotta disagree. I think McSame LOVES it everytime some new–hopefully really personal–scandal comes out about the Palin clan. It distracks from talking about things that actually matter.
The politico piece is about 70% right.
But in several places it doesnt credit OB for what he is doing. He did not focus for several days on Palin. He did it for one day.
OB has some non-traditional Demo positions; he has been strong in discussion of faith and religion in American life, and even in providing social services.
I could go on, but the article left me frequently saying, that’s not really true or that’s true up to a point.
do you really think after accumulating all that power,he would turn it over to a dem?
I dont think you can say Mcsame “loves it” when ugly stuff comes out about Palin.
I dont know whether they vetted her well or not, but they are not sitting their and going: “I hope the Dems find the emails that show Todd was making budget cuts and strategized the firing of the head of the state troopers, or that the press gets access to the sealed court file on Track.”
do you?
I’m not so sure that Palin was a “shiny object” intended to draw attention away from other issues. If that was true a more prominent evangelical wingnut would have been proffered. I think that she was an
1) effort to get an evangelical “unknown” who was not prominent to the public…but well enough known to the “social conservative” right wing to garner their leaders support…which would then filter down to the rank-and-file. This was the typical stealth candidate approach that they use to fill school boards and city councils and county commissions. They work the churches but give another story before the general public. Palin was the invited guest keynote speaker for the National Right to Life convention for goodness sake. “I’m as PRO-LIFE as ANYONE can be.”
2) attempt to play off on the largely fabricated “PUMA” phenomenon. Once Obama selected a male VP candidate…Palin could be presented as a feminist response. By being an unknown she could initially give McCain a bump…sustainable UNLESS her actual record became known. There is considerable evidence that an effort to block access to Palins history was occurring before her nomination…even months ago.
3) appeal to McCain’s mavericky-ness. He needed to assimilate Obama’s successful imagery of change…to break away from the Bush associations. By selecting a little known Governor, dressing her up (again historical revisionism) in a garb of being against the old boys (hiding the fact that she was their hand-picked female token) the McCain advisors could conceal their own Bush-connections and lobbying links.
4) They knew that the MSM would focus on the “phenomenon” rather than the substance, the surface and sheen rather than the blade that cuts.
5) The McCain folks likely thought that they could switch the narrative to aspects of her family life, which, while troubling on issues of her decision-making skills (and blind ambition at the cost of her family life), would be used to counterattack.
If things had remained there…talk about her pregnancy (how much of this was ‘fed’ to the media), her [self-exposed] daughters pregnancy [”Democrats! Keep my daughter of of this?”~ Sarah, you exploited your own daughters sexual activity], etc. The hope was that it would create a firewall against her nepotism, cronyism, and unbounded lust for power. There are certainly pitfalls out there…are the rumors about Track Palin being an oxy freak or vandalizing school buses valid…or Rovian traps to be used to discredit the accusers. BEWARE!
And while I believe that Palin CAN be a distraction…the fact is that she is going to dominate this media cycle for about two weeks. Policy wonks may want to talk about other things…but it isn’t going to happen…unless they can use Palin to build on this. The reality is there have been years to get the public educated about all the issues that Hugh, and others on this site (including myself) have spoken about. They haven’t had resiliency and reached the large mass of people out there. Like Muhammed Ali (there’s a reason Obama has a photo of Ali on his wall), sometimes you have to play rope-a-dope and use your opponents supposed “best shots” against him.
The evolutionary biologist Thomas Huxley once said under his breath “Lord, thank you for delivering my enemy up to me” when creationist Bishop Wilberforce asked him to opine which side of his family from which Huxley descended from a chimpanzee. Similarly, we must use Palin to show how McCain is simply “more of the same” in terms of anti-Science, military expansionism, horrible economic policies, and devastating social policies.
McNasty only met her ONCE…..speaks multi volumes to me
can you imagine?
Every speech I see Obama give on video he’s addressing the issues, the ads that I see that he’s targeting to swing states he’s talking about the issues, the press releases he sends out he’s talking about issues.
The 500,000 new donors he got in the month of August demonstrates he’s reaching people. The field offices he’s opening up with crowds showing up for the openings demonstrates he’s getting his message out.
All this is very good for a relative new comer to the political stage. And for the first black presidential candidate, extraordinary.
He has to destroy the myth that is built into the American concise about McCain to seal the deal. I thought issues alone would do it, however I’ve changed my thoughts about that.
Palin is a bad decision. She represents everything that Hugh’s list is all about. Now with the obvious lying that’s going on to cover it all up, cracks are appearing in the facade of McCain.
I think what’s happened with all the attention on Palin has been good, it’s forced McCain to show his true deceptive self to the point that the shine is coming off the mythical war hero persona that he’s crafted. Quite frankly I want Obama, the 527’s and everyone who is able to, to go for the jugular from this point on.
Something I left out of the list in the post
–and I think it is worthy of being one of the central themes in the campaign—
Although Obam’s health plan is not nearly as nearly as good as Hillary’s, at least it broaden’s the number of people who will have health coverage.
McCain’s plan involves taxing health coverage recieved from our employers and unions and experts believe it will REDUCE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO WILL HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE.
Yep, higher taxes on working folks expressly aimed at your existing health insurance.
we should be talking about that–not about Caribou Barbie’s bubble gum pink beauty parlor (front page of the NYTimes “Style” section)
I think she could be significantly worse than Cheney, especially after rading the NYT & WAPO pieces this morning.
Less restrained, oblivious to traditions of restraint (Cheney understood but fought them, she’ll just be oblivious- completely free), dangerously less worldly, and more fanatical.
very well stated
word
Obama cannot do this all by himself. Where is Biden? Where is Pelosi? Where is Reid? Where is Clinton? There are many prominent Democrats who would be covered if they would start hitting McCain. Why won’t they?
yup and he is an old sick CLAUDIUS
I think they are waiting for IKE to pass, and then will UNLEASHHHHHHH
TEHHHHHHHHH SHITSTORM!!!!!
Well said LHP!!!
yes, I do think fighting over Track’s records will thrill the McCain camapaign. Cause they can accuse the folks who are doing it of going after one of America’s brave fighting men while that trooper is in harm’s way.
I loved it when MoDo asstutely pointed out that The camapign is full of nmoosepoop for compalining when the Camapign put out a press release about Bristol’s pregnancy and then complained when the press reported the information in the press release the campaign put out.
How many press releases did the Clinton’s put out about Chelsea’s private business? The only one I can think of is when she picked her college. Correct me if I am wrong–which is entirely possible since I am working off memeory here.
Can you even conjure up in your imagination the Clintons, or the Carters, or Reagans, or the George HW Bush’s putting out a press release like that?
About your own daughter’s ob/gyn status?
Boy, do I agree. And that makes this SO scary!!!
muddy the waters
confuse,obfiscate and of course…LIE
Ike is just today’s decoy.
Don’t hold your breath for the likes of Pelosi, Reed et al to do or say anything relevant.
Palin has accomplished a lot more than Obama and would make a better President than Obama. Palin at least held an executive position as a governor!
And what’s with Biden saying Hillary would make a better VP than himself? Then why did he accept the VP nomination??!!
they care about their wallets
its all about the $$$$
yes, I am familiar with the tax-health-care-benefits scheme, which originated with a GOP San Diegan and physician who was head of the California Medical Association.
I think OB does need to explain that the cornerstone of the Mcsame healthcare is to tax health care benefits as income (I believe in the classic case it allows a certain dollar amount of benefits to go untaxed) but then taxes the rest, by calling them cadillac benefits.
the funds are used to finance healthcare for others. This is sort of class warfare between the middle and lower classes; a perfect gooper spectator sport and another version of their bashing immigrants as taking jobs away from Americans, or the century-old tactic of pitting working class whites against blacks.
I sure hope so. But it seems like we’ve been waiting an awful long time. If they are going to have any chance in Nov., it better be good!
Pelousy and Reid are useless, however….there are many good bitchslappers in our ranks too,and they will come foward this week i believe,in the mean time Sarah opens her mouth and inserts her JACKBOOTS almost everyday
i say let the little lady speak
And what’s up with Jane Hamsher on C-SPAN today talking about the McCain Doctrine? I didn’t know McCain already published a doctrine.
That’s great food for thought. Thanks!
I agree 100% about the Bristol pregnancy press release.
That was pure calculation. They knew about it and held the information for several days, then put it out during the convention and dared the press to react to it. Then they used it to bash the press and rally the hall et al.
but i dont think that is the same as the stuff about Todd, and the emails about troopergate, the cronyism and firings, the per diem, the hiring of lobbyists for wasilla, or that the bridge statement was a lie, or the pay-as-you-go rape kits.
I do think we largely agree. The campaign needs to focus on mcsame, the last four years and that this campaign is not about OB it is about us and our children and their future.
Id like Powell to come out for BHO
Swing & a miss
spelling is less important than thinking, but you know that
well mebbe not
This sort of “doubles down” on the bad news.
Before Palin we really had a chance to pick up a number of Senate seats — even that one in AK. Now all the knuckle-draggers will come out of their caves to vote [and believe me, their votes won’t be lost by some funky Diebold] and all those seats we were going to pick up [MN, NC, CO, ME, NH] will remain in the R column.
It’s a real shame.
One of the things I do like about the focus on Palin is although she might be good for the GOP breand (taking the focus off Bush/Cheney) the repeated exposure of her rather blatant lying, hurts the Mccain brand which was suppised to be about honor and integrity.
The taint is dripping from her and staing him, big time.

THE REAL BRISTOL PALIN and her SPERM DONOR
http://www.bartcop.com/penis-boy-whisky.jpg
Geez, I thought trolls rested on the seventh day.
I’d like Powell to come out via a speech in which he list the lies they’ve told and then talks about standards of honor in the military.
That would cut through a lot and be heard by people who aren’t listening.
right on lhp!
the problem, i think, is that after 1992 – when clinton ran on message of economic populism, he then turned around and pushed nafta and an a bunch of other stuff that really was quite contrary to the campaign he ran.
now things are much worse, and there’s a reason the dems won’t run on the issues. take your first one for an example:
if we talk about this one, and i really think we should, that also means talking about biden’s role in the whole mess. and from what i’ve seen dems don’t want to talk about that.
so, we are left with very few issues where the dems were not complicit, or at least compliant – and that makes it hard to talk about the issues in a purely partisan way.
personally i’d rather dump partisanship and choose to talk about the issues, but ymmv.
Which is why it is critical to back to focusing on Bush/Cheney and linking them to EVERY GOP candidate.
even the Wapo
gave him 4 Pinnochios
simple ,and do able
Me too.
Ah, Selise perhaps you have not yet read the latest “Angler” excerpt? They lied to the Gang of Eight. They lied to Congrees.
Congress may have been punked, but as it turns out Congress may not have been quite as complicit as they thought. It may be time for Congress to get over the collective guilt trip that has kept them from doing their jobs.
Really, folks, read the Angler except. Tres delicious and also informative
Jane Calling Out Mona from this Morning
biden was calling for regime change (and i think the war in general) for iraq in the ’90s. as chair of the senate foreign relations committee he stagemanaged the propaganda of those hearing with all the nuts who lied about wmd, etc and refused, even other dems’ requests, to have people like ritter testify who had a different story.
and then even as late as 2007, biden was still repeating some of the worst of cheney’s lies – in 2007 there is no excuse for that.
it sure looks to me like biden was the dem in congress most responsible for pushing us into the iraq war – even more than lieberman. and it astounds me that so few dems know or are willing to discuss that.
I think the McCain Doctrine is “Four More Wars, Four More Wars”
[Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Georgia…and maybe the N-Ukraine, North Korea, and Taiwan, as well]
that was a thoughtful conversation. thanks, LHP.
i put iraq and iran in mccain’s column, but afghanistan and pakistan in obama’s (since he started out more belligerent on them). don’t know about the rest.
We will probably have Venezuela added to list soon
The Obama Campaign really needs to get out there are use the fact that the GOP is trying to disenfranchise people who are being evicted from their foreclosed homes. They are going to use foreclosure lists to send letters out to show the people are no longer residents in the precincts, and then challenge them for being illegally registered…although they were lehgally resident at the time of the registration and do not have DUAL registrations.
The only fraud here is the Republicans trying to steal peoples right to vote in key areas where Republicans face tough races.
Take a look at the areas where foreclosures are highest and you can see why they need to eliminate angry “economics” voters, many in critical swing states

LHP, Nate Silver at fivethirtyeight.com makes the point that the alleged “Palin bounce” is pretty much the standard post-convention bounce — and points out that he’d predicted this weeks ago, well before anyone but the Fundies thought Palin was even possible as a pick.
The big thing is to start talking about McCain as Bush again, even as McCain’s working to pretend he didn’t vote the way Bush wanted him to vote when it counted.
Slightly OT : I received a DVD in my copy of the Denver Post today. It is titled “Obsession” Is this the one that everyone was talking about last week?
Yes.
Did anyone else catch what Mark Shields said on the news hour on Friday, something like,Today may very well be (Palin’s) best day of her campaign. Eagleton ,for those of you youngers out there, had his past drive him from the ticket in mid-campaign. She will be the example of throwing enough **** against the wall, some of it is going to stain and right now is a prime example of a fan you don’t want to be in front of as somethings”s being drawn into the fan intake. It is almost too easy.
The Republican campaign has captured the media focus. The Democratic campaign has to get it back somehow. I remember the YouTube of Have You Had Enough? sung by Rickie Lee Jones, I thought it was wonderful, bring it back, but do something else, something new with a new twist. Get the video focus off of Palin. Months ago I suggested an update of Yes We Can Can, but I don’t think it’s quite strong enough now. We need a story strong enough to displace Palin from the main news cycle for a day or more, so that when she comes back, she’s not the shiny toy, she’s old news.
She’s no Ingrid Bergman, she’s no Condi Rice, but she’s the media darling of the campaign because she brings eyeballs to the TV.
Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin,
let’s go make a picture
On the island of Umnak, Sarah Palin
Sarah Palin, you’re so perty,
you’d make any mountain quiver
You’d make fire fly from the crater,
Sarah Palin
This old mountain it’s been waiting
All its life for you to work it
For your hand to touch its hardrock,
Sarah Palin, Sarah Palin
If you’ll walk across my camera,
I will flash the world your story,
I will pay you more than money, Sarah Palin
Not by pennies dimes nor quarters,
but with happy sons and daughters,
And they’ll sing around Umnak Island,
Sarah Palin
ORIGINAL WORDS: Woody Guthrie 1950 – MUSIC: Billy Bragg
Oh Sarah Sarah beggin’ on my knees
Open up your heart and let me in wontcha please
Got no money but everybody knows
I love you Sarah and I’ll never let you go
Sweet and dandy pretty as can be
You be the flower and I’ll be the bumble bee
Oh she loves me oops she loves me not
People say you’re cold but I think you’re hot
Oh, Sarah, Sarah
Oh, Sarah, Sarah
Oh Sarah, Sarah I’m talkin’ to you girl
What’s it gonna hurt come on give me a whirl
Shake your body now let me see you go
One time for me Oh Sarah I love you so
Skank for me Sarah show me what you got
They say you’re too uptight I say you’re not
Dance around me spinnin’ like a top
Oh Sarah Sarah Sarah don’t ever stop
Oh Sarah Sarah Can’t you hear me call
I’m standin’ in the street outside your garden wall
Pocketful of money belly full of wine
Sarah in my heart and romance on my mind
Listen to me Sarah don’t be afraid
I come here tonight to chase your blues away
I’ll never hurt you I’ll treat you right
Oh Sarah Louise won’t you come out tonight
Pretty little Sarah precious as can be
Bet you never had another lover like me

John McCain’s selection for Vice President is a surprise unknown. Now that she and her record have been studied it’s clear that almost everything said by her, John McCain and the McCain campaign about her and her political record has been incorrect or a stretch of the truth. Politically she’s more in tune with President Bush than most Americans. John McCain says we need change and then picked someone who stands for “more of the same Bush Doctrine”?
John McCain isn’t the person we need to be President in 2009.
