She was 4 but I don’t know how long they live in the wild. Rescued a baby black racer from the neighbor’s kittens this morning. Hopefully, s/he’ll make it. No injuries I could spot.

In Canada, first of all, k-12 education is a provincial, not a federal matter. In my province, family life education is part of the health curriculum and has content at each grade level that is appropriate to the age and learning needs of the children. Good touch/bad touch starts at a pretty young age, but don’t know for sure at what grade.

My vet laughingly says I have “the touch.”

Couple weeks ago I went into the vet’s to pay off my bill and there was a young woman with her cat, Jack, who was on the counter. I naturally just started petting and talking to him. He was purrin’ away and the lady looked at me and said something to the effect that Jack wasn’t very well socialized and her husband could not do what I was doing. The best part was her eyes were big as saucers.

We’re up to 12? Really? I lost count at about 8.

The original attack ad, in my mind, should be the biggest story of the campaign right now. It should go down in history as one of the sleeziest political ads ever made, right up with with Willie Horton. It’s so deceptive and involves children and sexual abuse. The ad above, or preferably an ad directly from the Obama campaign calling this crap what it is should be the first priority right now.
