Shouting into their megaphones for the people inside to surrender, firing tear gas into the apartment. The punchline: Nobody was home.

Well the repukes have struck again here in California because they refuse to raise taxes on the rich(as usual) they have repeatedly blocked any budget because of the two thirds rule. Well one of the victims of their shit is that state is not paying Cal-grants leaving thousands of low income student in major financial straights. This means students who rely on the money may have to drop out of college if they cant pay their bills. In our case right now our son is short four thousand dollars!! So as you can guess we are rather stressed about this as this is his senior year! Julie called Chapman and they said they are getting around a hundred calls and emails a day on this and they just don’t know what the school can do or what may happen to the students.
This is also causing many programs for the poor working to not be able to get day care for their kids thus they can’t work, health care and many other programs are already suffering from lack of funds and some administrators ahve even taken out lines of credit just to keep their program providing the neccessary services.
This kind of stuff is just what repukes always seem to cause and theses kind of results need to be told to all voter across the nation as this is just the same kind of things that the repukes are causing all across the country and at the national level. If the repukes get into office these same things will be affecting all citizens except the rich and they don’t give a fuck about us. And they say there is no class War Fare… lying fucking Bastards the Truth is becoming very self evident!

The repukes are rotten to the core and need to be sent to the dustbin of history!!

US plans missile sale worth $7 billion

WASHINGTON – The Bush administration plans to sell to the United Arab Emirates an advanced missile defense system valued at up to $7 billion that could be used to defend against Iran, people who have attended briefings on the matter said yesterday.

The Pentagon is set to notify Congress of the proposed sale, which would be the first of the so-called Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD, several people familiar with the matter said.

THAAD is built by Lockheed Martin Corp. Waltham, Mass.-based Raytheon Co. supplies the system’s radar.

Once notified of such a proposed arms sale by the administration, Congress has 30 days to review it but almost never blocks.

Buchanan is now Rachel’s go-to “straight man.” It’s fun to watch. In fact, I’d like to get a transcript of tonights exchange between them.

It was fun watching Pat squirm in frustration that he couldn’t dismiss her or talk over her, tho he tried…! ;-)

I thought he was quite rude..much as he has been since the Palin pick.

Nobody talks over Rachel. She just keeps talking, very articulately, unfazed. One time Joe Scarborough left the set in disgust when she refused to allow him to interrupt.

In that regard, on Sunday, Carville had a great line: “Excuse me for continuing to talk while you interrupt.”

I thought perhaps Rachel got a little more out of Pat than she was bargaining for…that he was a bit less congenial than she expected from a longtime collegue…he seems to have been energized/driven off the deep end by the Palin Pick…but I think Rachel handled it well

I would be surprised if he were to become a regular feature there, he seems too far into his wingnuttiness to be able to have a civil conversation

The Buchanan segment is up there – I’ll bet, like today, it will be named “It’s Pat” – and I’m certain Buchanan doesn’t know the androgyny joke to which he’s being subjected… yet.

I think Pat was miffed that he wasn’t offered a show, and, she was given a prime time slot!

Agreed, it has to be someone as lazy or inept as Tweety for Buchanan to work out on a regular basis.

Yup. I expect him to be a regular. He’s a bright, well-read, and intelligent opponent, who likes to argue, as does Rachel. And, she almost always wins against him.

Buchanan is a Republican flack first, last and always. He loves combat and Maddow is just perfect for him. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s around 3 times a week. And I would welcome him.
He’s a piece of shit politically, but he gives Rachel a perfect sounding board, and more often than not, he leaves with his ass scalded. Without compliant.

He was trying to make the case that the media had inappropriately made an issue of Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy. Rachel pointed out that the McCain campaign had brought up the issue. Pat said that bloggers at Dkos forced them to. And that’s where I got lost.

Pretty much, but he’s a paleoconservative, who is totally against the Iraq war so far as I can tell. He’s also not so keen on the “special friendship” bond between the U.S. and Israel. Those are not typical Republican attitudes.

Agreed – rhetorically he just can’t keep his trap shut, and what tumbles out is often vile.
But his stances on the Iraq occupation and Israel are unusual.

I think he secretly admires Rachel, and maybe not so secretly. He likes winning arguments, but when he’s with Maddow, he’s putting his cred out there, getting it stomped regularly, and coming back for more.
