Sarah: I am so psyched about working with you, Joe. This is exciting!
Lieberman: Glad to help, Sarah. It's critical that we don't allow the Democrat Party to win the election.
Sarah: Totally. Oh my God. I hate them.
Lieberman: OK, Sarah -- let's talk about Hezbollah.
Sarah: Oh, I think your wife is just lovely.
Lieberman: No, no, no. Not Hadassah -- Hezbollah.
Sarah: Sorry! Is she your daughter?
Lieberman: Let's move on. Do you want me to brief you on Georgia?
Sarah: Nope, we're good. I was at a governor's conference in Atlanta last year.
Lieberman: Alright. Well, what do you know about Iraq?
Sarah: We're on a mission from God.
Lieberman: Well, that's certainly true, but...
Sarah: And it's critically important that His will be done there.
Lieberman: Right, but...
Sarah: Are you a man of faith, Joe?
Lieberman: Yes, very much so.
Sarah: Where do you go to church?
Lieberman: I'm Jewish.
Sarah: You are?! I had no idea! God bless you!
Lieberman: Thanks.
Sarah: Can I take a minute here and tell you about a wonderful group called Jews for Jesus?
FDL EXCLUSIVE: Joe Lieberman Tutors Sarah Palin On Foreign PolicyBy: Blue Texan Friday September 5, 2008 9:01 am |
As Christy noted, it appears that the McSame campaign has concluded that Sarah Palin might not know jack about needs a little help with foreign policy. So who did they enlist to tutor her? Joe Lieberman. And FDL's moles in the McSame campaign got ahold of a transcript of their first session:

Yer making my head hurt.
Short Ride has too many cheerleaders as it is.
I can’t see this woman cramming for a final in the next month, Biden is going to hand her her ass in the debate.
EXCELLENT!
As for McClueless:
Results 1 - 10 of about 43,200 for mccain + “economy are strong”.

I’m sure Harry Reid will agree that Mrs. Palin needs some tutoring.
“No problem, Joe.”
Blue Texan:
I would have thought it was obvious, but isn’t mentioning AIPAC relevant here? I realize you can’t spell it out because it’s so controversial, but I would have thought it’s significant that the vice-presidential candidate literally reads from their script. Sort of drives home a point a lot of us have been making with increasingly faint rebuttal these past few years.
Hey - what’s Mrs. Palin doing in Wisconsin with McCrazy?
Isn’t she supposed to be home studying?
But no, she’s there, repeating all she knows, the exact same speech she gave Wednesday….
Lieberman: “Can you name the President and Vice President of the United States?”
Sarah: “Ha-ha, very funny, Senator, that’s a trick question! I’ve been instructed not to name them at all!”
Hi! I just figured out who she sounds and looks a bit like - Julia Sweeney from Saturday Night Live. Julia could do a spot on imitation of her, voice and everything.
She’s reading a speech on CNN now and is talking about Iraq. She really doesn’t seem to know much about what she’s talking about, other than what they have written for her with a lot of talking points and one liners. Issues, it’s about the issues.
Mrs. Palin is beginning to out-awful Joe Lieberman in my visceral disgust-reaction……
So Holy Joe gets an all expense paid (by us) vacation in Alaska rather than actually working on behalf of his constituents?
I want my money back.
Biden better be seriously careful in that debate. If he handles her the way he might the lieberliar (or the mittster or I-Got-Pawlenty-o’-Nuttin for that matter) low-information voters will have a bad reaction: “Look what that nasty, cranky, big-head old man is doing to that pooor defenseless girl.”
The election is not about Palin, except insofar as his choice of Palin tells us about McSame. Keep repeating that — McSame is using Palin as a tarbaby. The only way to win against a tarbaby is to ignore it.
BC
Judging by what is available of Palin’s academic history, Lieberweasel is going to have his hands full teaching her how important war is and stuff.
Wait until Phil Graham tries to explain economics to her.
Palin supposedly quoting Obama as saying “The Surge succeeded beyond our wildest dreams:.
fact-check time. Surely he didn’t screw up and actually say that on Bill-O’s show, did he?
Holy shit! Now she’s going noun, verb POW on us!
It’s amazing to think McCain wanted to pick Lieberman. That RNC crowd could barely stomach McCain; I can’t imagine how Lieberman would have flown. I almost had sympathy for McCain last night. It’s like he can’t understand his own party.
Only if she can read it.
Sometimes we need to take a break and have a good laugh.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.....23852.html
Yes he did
when did McCrazy start pronouncing it as “Warshington, D.C.?
McCrazy lies twice. “She sold the corporate jet on E-Bay!!” (no, she didn’t). “And made a profit!!” (no - she didn’t).
So what odds are we giving that Palin-McCain will take this thing in November? Like shooting moose (um, fish) in a barrel?
How many times do people need to be punched in the face before they say, “Enough, already!”? We need to offer constant reminders that Palin-McCain represent the interests of a very elite club and WE AIN’T IN IT!
On the other hand, nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people…

fuck.
An interpretation
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.....24222.html
Under the category of “Never thought it’d happen,” I need to see Billo.
n a much-anticipated interview with conservative nemesis Bill O’Reilly, Sen. Barack Obama said Thursday that the troop surge in Iraq had ”succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated” and ”beyond our wildest dreams.”
But despite expressing his most positive assessment of a military buildup he opposed, the Democratic presidential candidate made no concession on what he said is the more crucial issue of Iraq’s political stability.
”The Iraqis still haven’t taken responsibility,” Obama said during the seven-minute segment on Fox News’ ”O’Reilly Factor,” an interview the talk-show host had sought for months. ”And we still don’t have that kind of political reconciliation.”
Glenzilla:
Replublicans have won seven of the last ten presidential elections.
attack. Attack. ATTACK.
Why, one could get banned for bringing this up! Apparently the moderation software is programmed to seek out this and related words. I have seen this in action. Poof! Away goes ones post if one so much as dares to alude to such things. Yeppers, those Zionists have it all under managed control, don’t they!
OT: Here is a nice video about ”organizers”…pass it on:
http://www.dailykos.com/story/.....494/587350
So much to attack - so little will to do so
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1Y73sPHKxw
Obama admits he was wrong about the surge (and throws away the election):
If Obama had been commander in chief, the glorious surge, which is about to bring us glorious victory, would never have taken place. Even Obama realizes that his judgment is not that of a commander in chief.
Blue Texan 707!!!
Such a target-rich environment for humor, high and low, my Governor has become.
Read somwhere this morning “Jesus Christ was an organizer, Pontious Pilate was a governor”
The obvious conclusion is that Obama has handed McCain the kind of victory - ratification of his judgment - that he craved.
What is Obama up to?
Wouldn’t be ironic, though, if Orally’s interview with Obama ends up helping to elect him?
Obama went to a security briefing the other day
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmNZupPYlAY
Delurking for a moment to mention this, though OT, that seems hilarious to me and have not seen it mentioned anywhere else, about the green screen images and McCain. Not long ago I read green is the color of Islam. What subliminal message would that send? It does make me chuckle when it happens.
All she needs to know is written right there in plain english in the bible.
foothillsmike’s link lays it out
A possibility is that he is setting McCain up to jump back in on the war as an issue in order to hit him with something hard, like showing him pimping an invasion in autumn 2001 and reestablishing the fact that McCain’s judgmment and temperament about the larger picture are inadequate.
But that’s just my fond hope.
THAT pisses me off. The “surge” did NOT work. The entire idea that the surge worked is to buy off on the false idea that the surge was its own end. The surge was supposed to be a step towards an end. That end, which would make it a de facto success (or sorts) has NOT occurred and will not occur until the US is entirely out of Iraq.
MOST of the reduction in violence in Iraq started BEFORE the surge with the near simultaneous Anbar Awakening AND Sadr calling off his dogs. The surge of US troops is just an also ran.
I saw that, too–somewhere. I read so much that it is becomming all mixed together.
Jay Haley, a brilliant therapist, a founder of an influential school of family therapy, once wrote a book called _The Power Tactics Of Jesus Christ_ to which I have often alluded on FDL. Haley casts Jesus as a community organiser in the mild of Saul Alinsky. Haley says it was all going fine until Jesus made a fatal miscalculation!
I’m pretty skeptical of the Hutchinson piece.
yes, more troubling to me than the fact she has no foreign policy exposure (and that is plenty troubling enough) is the fact that she is now getting some sort of all-night cram session from people with a very one-sided and skewed view of the way the world should work. and she may be smart and all, but so am i and i’d need more that the “time on the plane” to even begin to go beyond just the basics on most of these incredibly complex and nuanced situations.
In my #40, for mild, read mold.
And we all know that God wrote in English to prove that we are the special ones who will meet our destiny./s
Amen, amen, and amen.
Seconded.
Thanks BT.
I believe this should read “Jesus Christ was an advocate, Pontius Pilate was a leader.”
Kudos, Blue Texan, great snark
Gramm: Joe, you’re the most whiny Yankee I’ve ever heard.
Palin: Oh, do you mean he plays baseball?
Joe: whine whine whine Iraq whine whine whine
Palin: Mr. Lieberman, did you know Jesus died for your sins?
Gramm: Haw haw haw Thas funny Sarah. You’re alright with me.
Three whiney opportunist barnacles using McCain’s campaign for their own small interests. The ultimate insider leeches.
Uh, weren’t the books of the Bible, and the books the Catholics didn’t include, written in Aramaic and Greek? Can Palin read those languages?
refering to 19…”How many times do people need to be punched in the face before they say, “Enough, already!”? We need to offer constant reminders that Palin-McCain represent the interests of a very elite club and WE AIN’T IN IT!
On the other hand, nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people…”
Me thinks it was Salvor Hardin who said, People in large groups will not act randomly. They are predictable. And will act according to the situation, usually in an uneducated manner.”-or something like that
Also I think it was Slim Pickins that said something like,”Don’t underestimate the stupidity of people in large groups”
Bush was elected TWICE!
I saw a bumper sticker that read,”God said it. I believe it. That settles it.” Willful ignorance gives control of your life to someone else.
So, work hard so we and our decendants don’t have to go through another time period like this last 8 years.
FDL forever!
