McCain is not playing to win he is trying to defend the GOP is the south and west to keep the Senate filibuster.

This concerns me too. Dems have been coming oh-so-close to taking Senate seats in AK, NC, MN. Now with Palin in the game, the Neanderthals will crawl out of their caves and knuckle-drag to the voting booth. [Why doesn’t voter id ever apply to them?]

Carl Bernstein said something extremely astute on CNN: if something were to happen to John McCain before the election, would Sarah Palin be the GOP Presidential nominee? Not likely.

I dunno. What really scares me is that they WOULD run her as the Presidential candidate. Hell, maybe McCain will develop a sudden “health problem” & drop out.

The Big Money guys in the Republican party may be scared of Palin and her craziness, but the “masses” — those lunatics in the mega-churches — love her, and the media continues to treat her with the deference that Hillary supporters beat them into.

This situation really, really scares me, since the outcome has to factor in the dimness of the American electorate. I’m going to be giving to Obama as much as I can afford, but I’m quite frightened.

Big Question.

The one clear chance to see her unscripted will be in the debate with Joe Biden, which will be hosted by Gwen Iffel.

So how should Biden prepare for the event? How will Sarah prepare for Biden?

I wanna see the media examine her husband’s involvement in things.
Something tells me there is an eminence grise that everyone is overlooking.

“A bit sharp”? They want to make the election about character. Many of us saw her in her speech as thoroughly condescending and nasty, and that reflects on her character. Her character is no longer off limits, nor is McCain’s.

It might be in vain, but I have to laugh at the parts where there seems to be a blip between Palin’s brain and teleprompter, ex: Disk-kh-overies.

If that happens we will either leave or get kicked out, America without an educated often artistic elite, well manufacturing jobs are how much of the economy?
How much of the economy do we have a major stake in?
Spain kicked out the Jews and Muslims long ago they cruised on their rep for awhile but still haven’t recovered.
Athens was never the same after the death of Socrates (killed for teaching the youth to disrespect the gods).
A civilization’s military power does not often long survive the death of its artistic soul.
Either the country fades or a new artistic soul is found and the military power fades.
There are exceptions but not many.
