I’d even like to see Obama strongly condemn the corporate media for going after her family after this percolates a while longer. Just to proactively defend against inevitable charges of the meannie Democrats picking on poor little Sarah.

And we also need to keep up the full-court press on pseudo-maverick McSame. He’s enjoying a little time out of the spotlight while everyone focuses on his ridiculous veep pick — which may have been part of his strategy.

We finally have a chance to be pro-active rather than reactive. Let’s take advantage!

After reading suzanne’s post and comments the other day I can’t help but wonder why officers of her calibre are not standing up against this shit. Are officers of her calibre a thing of the past? Of the five agencies in my area, 2 county sheriffs 3 city, St Pete has to have the fairest of the bunch, although the chief is pure control freak neocon. After the first couple months of BayWalk (2002) their mission changed from keeping us from rioting to protecting us from the drunks and other assorted assholes. Our experiences with the Tampa PD were of the same calibre. By the time we got across the bay they knew our reputation and covering our vigils, etc was just easy overtime dough. Even got a half hidden peace sign from an uniformed officer at a Hillary fundraiser.

Of course. I realize not all cops are like LAPD, NYPD and what we see in St Paul but after my own experiences with them and what LA, NY and others have done I don’t trust them. When I’m gettin’ on them I’m talking of a particular group, not all law enforcement. It’s not a job I would take on and I don’t think I could fully explain my thoughts in a venue such as this simply because of its limitations of space. IOW I could write a dissertation but this isn’t the place. Perhaps when they get the diaries up and running.

if they don’t see it for themselves, or perhaps have someone close to them that they trust complete see it, there is no reason for them (cops like suzanne) to ever think this is what happens. from her post, it seemed that she was surprised by what was happening now. that says to me that she didn’t know how much this is standard operating procedure.
