Welcome to the fabulous historical realm of Sarah Palin — yeah, she’s qualified enough for the GOP:

2006 Alaska Primary Questionnaire Sent out by the Eagle Forum,

11. Are you offended by the phrase “Under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?

Sarah Palin : Not on your life. If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me and I’ll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance

Yep. Pledge of Allegiance, written 1892, by Francis Bellamy, a Christian AND and a Socialist. But definitely not a founder.

Of course, even then, "Under God" wasn’t part of the Pledge that Bellamy wrote. Those words were inserted in 1954 when Ike and the Congress wanted to show those Commies in the Kremlin that we could make up our own oaths, only with the Almighty in them. "Hey Comrade! Suck. On. That." USA! USA! USA!

This kind of history, of course, is hard to know. What with it being public record and easily available in such remote locales as "The Google". But, I guess, if you want to stretch the definition of the word "Founder" enough it could start with George Washington and end with the debut of "The Transformers" no one can stop you. And that is just what Sarah Palin is willing to do. She’s that qualified. She’s already manufacturing her own reality.

She was on the PTA and everything!

Huzzah.
