According to CNN, the pregnancy story came out when they found out they were in Anchorage investigating the story. I say she doesn’t last the week.

Remember, it is PALIN that has sought to reveal her daughters current “five month” pregnancy as a foil to deflect the rumors swirling about her own.

Palin has already detailed many aspects of her pregnancy…her being told that the tests (amniocentesis?) showed that her child would have Trisomy-21, the miraculous “breaking of water” and airflights back to Alaska, and then the journey to Wasilla to give birth prematurely. So she isn’t averse to revealing VERBALLY all sorts of statements about her pregnancy. Why didn’t she simply release her medical records about her pregnancy. The tests, the check-ups, and the birth certificate? It would have laid all this to rest without embroiling her daughter in the issue further.

But she CHOSE to reveal her daughters pregnancy in order to establish her own motherhood. How odd!

She supported the Bridge To Nowhere before she was against it…but she still likes the Road to the Bridge to Nowhere! At least she likes the Federal “pork”…(i.e. OUR tax dollars). Meanwhile the infrastructure decays on tens of thousands of really important roads and highways throughout the country.

And this in a State that receives 80% of its budget from Oil and Gas leases and taxes. That doesn’t have State Income Taxes or a Sales Tax. Yet they still want a disproportionate share of Federal tax money? I wish the Republicans would have the audacity of taxing the Oil and Gas industry 80% of the FEDERAL Budget?

Oh! But that would raise gasoline prices they’d caterwaul. Which means when Alaska raises most of its budget from oil and gas leases/taxes that also increases the cost of gasoline…righhhhht????

Yes, that is exactly what it reminded me of.

I mentioned earlier that even Fox has lost confidence in her. Shep Smith correcting himself when he referred to her as the candidate. He said at least until she goes before the convention, at least.

It reminded me a little of Chris Matthews nailing that punk (can’t remember but think he was a wingnut blogger) who claimed Obama’s proposing talks with Iran was appeasement. Matthews proved the guy was spouting talking points with no actual comprehension of what the term appeasement meant.

Her withdrawal will hurt McCain on many levels: with the fundies, who will feel betrayed by him, and with everyone else, who will remember how choosing talent unwisely has hurt America the last eight years.

But McCain is a very stubborn man and, I suspect, she is a very stubborn woman. We shall see.

PW!
The Alaskan blog, the Mudflats is great. I’ve read at least four posts and they are very, very interesting. I’ve bookmarked this for daily reading. Thanks!

I think she almost HAS to withdraw prior to being formally nominated, i.e. within a couple days. At any point after that the campaign takes an even bigger and potentially game-ending hit.
