Obama’s right on this one. It’s a not a so unusual event. The concern is Sarah Palin’s fittness for the office. The problem is not her daughter or her newborn. The problem is that she seemed to hide these problems of her life. McCain did too. Time (a mostly Republican rag) revealed that McCain’s people told Palin’s neighbors off limits to the press.

The Republicans were after every sexual thing of Clinton remember. They can’t say Sarah’s ridiculous moral stances are off limits especially when her family exhibits their failings.

It’s obvious both mother and daughter are having new borns. The best of luck on that….but is she ready to be Vice President, Ms. Palin needs to take care of her family.. as it seems to be a mess.

FYI–whoever said that Alaska is small enough that doctors have multiple skills and multiple jobs is correct.

The doctor that delivered Trig (which is the one you mentioned) is also the doctor that has delivered many babies in the Valley for many years. She also happens to be an expert on child abuse as are many other doctors in Alaska.

That has nothing to do with what’s going on here.

I have said before and I will repeat again, I think people’s families are off limits, and people’s children are especially off limits. This shouldn’t be part of our politics, it has no relevance to governor Palin’s performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president. And so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories. You know my mother had me when she was 18. And how family deals with issues and teenage children that shouldn’t be the topic of our politics and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that is off limits.”

this whole thing feels like “The Dark Secret of Harvest Home” to me. I feel for that kid, whatever the truth is. And i can’t bear any more of it.

I can empathize with plunger’s desire to get to the bottom of it, and i salute the thorough effort at that. But this all feels pretty creepy, and frankly from the looks on the faces of this family in all the photos i’ve checked out here, they look like people I don’t wanna know.

I feel for that young woman though, I really do. What a drag for her.

1. Where is your evidence that Dr. Cathy Baldwin-Johnson was the attending M.D.? Your link provides a bio no evidence that she’s Palin’s doctor.

2. So what if Baldwin-Johnson heads up the area’s sexual abuse response team? It’s not as if that is her sole practice. It’s a community service effort to train clinicians in the community. My child’s former pediatrician also did similar work in a community I used to live in. But her primary practice was a private pediatric practice.
