Yeah, that’s her!! Edie McClurg. Her voice in the comedy skits reminds me of Palin’s. Thanks, Rayne.

The rationale that she gave for having another baby at that age was that her husband wanted to have ANOTHER son. Sort of a double insult to both the other kids…first son wasn’t enough of a good experience for the guy?

“Sorry Track! But we want to have another round of getting this child-rearing thing right’”

And to the daughters- “Daddy has had enough with girls…he wants another BOY!”

Why not just say that they don’t believe in contraception (rumors are that she wanted to exclude it from insurance plans).

But I guess that wouldn’t fly because she waited until 7 years AFTER her last daughter to get pregnant again. Unless, of course, the use a rather long “7 year itch” rhythm method?

Then there is the issue of doing this at 44, just after she became governor (ah…maybe they “celebrated” her victory?)…taking on a child, and all the health risks that a 44 year old woman faces that a 37 year old would only encounter at far lower levels. Certainly the stress and time committments of being Governor are far greater than that of being Mayor of Wasilla.

If I was going to try for another son, because another daughter was a disappointment, then why not right after the last pregnancy. You’re younger, your husband is younger (genetic defects, like chromosomal abnormalities) increase as a result of both parents age. She was adapted to life as mayor in a very small town…far less stress.

Something is wrong with this storybook tale!

That Downs Syndrome baby - was it hers, or her 16 year old daughter, Bristol’s, who was out of school for months - purportedly with mono?

That’s what gets me about the pregnancy story. We are being told it as if it is all somehow normal that things happened this way when every aspect of it is incredible.

Gotta question McCain’s judgement…the rule is “Vet First…nominate later”. The fact that they are doing this after the fact only allows them to create “plausible deniability” arguments rather than dealing with the facts of the issue. Is this the way he’s going to run the Executive branch? Not examine appointees backgrounds until after the fact?

Here’s where such stuff leads….

“In 2005, Palin co-filed an ethics complaint against Murkowski’s longtime aide and then attorney general, Gregg Renkes, for having a financial interest in a company that stood to gain from an international trade deal he was helping craft.”

Now what is very interesting is that Palin consistently filed ethics complaints against those that stood in her way to rising politically. She tossed out any political competitors from the Wasilla City Council and Government, replacing them with cronies. When she was appointed by Murkowski to Alaskas Energy and Resources Commission she disclosed that the Chair was involved in ethics violations. Then she went after Murkowski.

Now she wants to be VP?

Biden can easily ask her if she believes that close family should be scrutinized for benefiting from legislation drawn up or signed by politicians? Does she intend to reveal her husbands investments and their tax returns?
And then…whap…hit her with Cindy McCain…who refuses to disclose her detailed investments so that any benefits that accrued from John’s legislation can be investigated.

One example is “How much did Cindy McCain benefit from the McCain sponsored Indian Gaming Act…from the expansion of alcohol sales into casinos on Native American Reservations?” I can bet it would be in the tens of millions of dollars…as it drew hundreds of thousands of visitors away from Nevada into the domain of Cindy McCain Helmsley Beer Distributors.

hunting from airplanes no different than Chee-knee harvesting on a game farm. Not real hunting.

Yes, I have hunted. Yes, I have consumed antelope meat. Hunting for food fine with me. Hunting for alcohol-fueled testosterone rush not fine.
